Saving his owners' life at the cost of his own eye, Kholvar was released from servitude and instead is willingly employed by his former master, now close friend.
Kholvar now operates a large branch of Aeonian's slave trade on Zygerria, acting as both a chief lieutenant as well as headhunter should a slave or someone of note need to be reminded who their master is.

The past is something Kholvar infrequently dwells upon. As far back as he can remember the slave life was all he knew. Not knowing in the slightest who his own parents are or were, Kholvar can only assume he was brought into the life of slavery as an infant. One of the downsides of being part of a race known for their strength and hardiness; the perfect body to throw into a spice mine and have swing a pickaxe.
Kholvar’s childhood consisted mostly of dirt, sweat, and exhaustion. As a child he lived in constant fear of speaking out against his handlers even if Kholvar himself was on the receiving end of their beatings. When he became a teenager things changed of course, as they do with most teenagers. Kholvar got brave, he got mouthy, and because of that his vocal chords were shattered in front of his friends and fellow slaves as a display of what happens to shoe who don’t do as they were told. Kholvar still remembers that day vividly. He chose not to have final words, he only laughed. Defiance till the end, as was the norm with Kholvar.
Several years later Kholvar found himself sold off again to another slaver, though this one was markedly different than most of the trash he’d served under in his life. Much more extravagant, much more… humanistic. The man still treated his slaves as lesser, of course, but he did not treat them like dirt. A substantial improvement to say the least. The man’s name was Aeonian and he would, in due time, change everything about Kholvar’s life -- and for the better, for once.
Coming as a surprise to Kholvar, when he returned to Zygerria with Aeonian he wasn’t placed in another mine and given a hammer to swing. He was given real clothes and told he was going to be an acting bodyguard for his master. Kholvar didn’t do much but shrug, he didn’t really care what he did. Anything was better than manual labor.
Maintaining his post as a silent watchmen for several months, Aeonian gifted Kholvar another responsibility: hunting escaped slaves. Kholvar excelled greatly at this, and his new found “freedom” - despite being able to leave, he was still wearing a death collar operated by Aeonian - gave the Togorian a renewed sense of purpose. But most of all, it gave him loyalty to his master. Something Kholvar had never felt before.
Some time later an assassination attempt was made on Aeonian by another Sith seeking to usurp his growing slave industry on Zygerria. Without hesitation, Kholvar stepped in front of the blaster shot and it caught him in the eye, damaging it beyond repair. His heroics spared Aeonian from a shot in the back of the head and the Sith was able to dispatch his would be assassin with ease.
For his efforts and display of undying loyalty, Aeonian gifted Kholvar with true freedom. The Sith even helped replace Kholvar’s damaged vocal chords with a voice modulator, granting him the ability to speak once more. Despite his newly obtained freedom, Kholvar chose to remain in the employment of his no-longer-master, but friend Aeonian and continue his operations in the slave trade.

His fur is snow white and maintained meticulously. Appearing dirty is only acceptable for slaves, Kholvar does everything in his power to differentiate who he is now to what he was before. His left eye has been replaced by a rudimentary but serviceable cybernetic, the specifications are only equal to what his normal vision would grant him. During his youth Kholvar’s vocal chords were purposefully irreparably damaged by one of his owners, a punishment for speaking out of turn. Aeonian helped Kholvar acquire and implant a voice modulator several years ago that has given him his ability to speak back, although with a supremely distinct mechanical tone.
Piercings are also a favorite of Kholvar’s. He has two hoop piercings in each of his ears as well as bars through both of his nipples. The large amount of fur that exists on his head and back have been fastened and secured into thick dreadlocks. The fur that extends from his chin is always braided into a distinctive beard. Kholvar, despite his monstrous and brutal nature, cares deeply about his overall appearance and always takes the time to groom himself when the opportunity presents itself.

Lust. The life of a slave kept Kholvar from many things.. As such, in his freedom, he has an almost insatiable lust for wherever his mind finds obsession. He drinks a lot, smokes, but stays away from drugs such as spice and death sticks. Kholvar has a particular fascination with Twi’lekki women, especially those that have a pink-ish hue. He owns four Twi’lekki slave girls but only one of them - his favorite, Marzza - has ever been allowed to leave the home Kholvar owns on Zygerria. She accompanies him when travels take him far and he values her company. Kholvar also has a bloodlust that plays into his profession as a hunter of escaped slaves. During a hunt, and preferably the more dangerous the better, Kholvar is his true self. The end - the killing - is just icing on the cake.
The large feline is also fiercely intelligent, due in no small part to the extensive amount reading he does in his spare time. Growing up as a slave afforded Kholvar little education outside of the proper way to swing a pickaxe. Until Aeonian liberated him from his bondage, Kholvar could scarcely even read. Since then, however, Kholvar has become an almost ravenous hoarder of both physical and digital reading material. In his mind, knowledge is something that you will always have. No man or master can ever take it away from you, and because of that it is the most precious thing one can ever attain.
Pride. Ego propels Kholvar in the same way an engine powers a speeder. It’s his driving force, his impetus; every action he takes or doesn’t take directly correlates to whether it will benefit him personally or not. Kholvar is an unscrupulous, self-serving asshole who is only out for himself. Influence, glory, wealth, anything that will make him superior (even if it's just in his own eyes) is a worthy goal - it matters not who gets caught in the middle, as long as Kholvar prevails in the end. Lying, cheating, murdering, all of these things are perfectly acceptable methods to Kholvar when it comes to achieving his goals.
Despite the immense personal confidence Kholvar his in himself, he is not above working with others - but this is not to say he would have qualms about betraying a partner should it further his own ambition. Kholvar’s loyalty relies heavily on power and money, which can make him both a fiercely useful friend or simply an assassin biding his time.
Greed. Money, but even more importantly the power that comes with it is a primary driving force for Kholvar. If you have enough money - which, you never can - you have nearly unlimited power. Credits can buy you out of any problem, buy you into any solution, and buy away any nuisance. If there is a quick way to gain a profit, whether it be legal, questionable, or even obviously morally reprehensible, Kholvar will take advantage of it.
When it comes to attaining what he seeks, Kholvar has little honor. To him, there is no sense earning something that can be easily stolen, no sense in leaving obstacles alive to only hinder you again in the future, and no sense in helping anyone else but himself.. Unless he can profit from it. -
