Ideas. Pls don hurt meh. Criticism is welcome though, just don't like slaughter me with the English language. Or any language. Maybe.

SCD-13 Series Combat Droid
Weapons: The SCD-13 Series Combat droids are to typically carry two weapons. The right forearm is a cortosis-weaved vribrosword. The blade alone is 2 feet long (0.6096 meters), and with the rest of the arm it has a rough maximum effective range of around 5 feet (However it can reach up to 6 feet, but is not effective obviously. "Just the tip" doesn't kill in a fight.).

The left forearm is a blaster with 50 shots, but must be reloaded externally when depleted. The blaster fires a burst of two shots with a second delay. It is not recommended to modify fire rate as ammo capacity is relatively weak and the weapon becomes inaccurate at higher firing speeds and the weapon system may fail (Sometimes with deadly results). The recommended range for the blaster is close, but can still perform with some success at medium distances. Long range engagements are not recommended.

Modifications are able to be made, allowing for a variety of units. This can include two bladed versions, single bladed versions without a blaster (The free arm will receive a "hand" that can allow manipulation and usage of weapons and other external systems.), or dual-handed systems for external manipulation.

The time needed to swap out arm components depends on what is involved, but can take a considerable amount of time. It is recommended not to rush installation, and to do it in a safe location with proper equipment. First, the unit would need to be shutdown (Recommended but not needed). Second, the component must be disconnected from the power supply and other systems. Then, the section of the forearm must be removed at the elbow joint. Installation of components happens in the reverse. Weapon mods should be done while the weapon in mind is completely safe, arming and loading take place after installation. After any modification the unit must undergo a rundown of the component and run diagnostics to familiarize itself with it.


Tools: Units are equipped with a "feminine" vocabulator, allowing speech in Basic and major languages. Additional languages can be installed. Every unit also has its sensor package mentioned above. They are also equipped with communication systems, allowing for transmitting and receiving data as well as communicating with others within an acceptable distance.

Description: The SCD-13 Series Combat Droid was constructed to serve their owner as security. While not capable of sustained combat, units are expected to perform hunter-killer missions with success. While quite sizable, they lack major armor that can stop many hits. The most capable of being absorbed would be 2 hits from the average blaster in main sections (Torso, upper legs, upper arms), outer limbs only capable of 1 hit, damage being taken fully after. The belly is a weaker spot, lacking a major armor piece and may be able to take a single blaster hit (Anything heavy would ignore this), but considerable damage will be sustained.

Their teal armor and hull panels cover most of their important components, though the limbs have some unprotected areas to help with movement. Orange colors are cosmetic, used for marking points, and/or showing role. As mentioned, the weapons can be replaced with hands for manipulation or other configurations. These units are relatively intelligent, and can be reprogrammed to service other uses. Over time, "personalities" may be formed if periodic memory wipes are not conducted. This can lead to a degrade in combat performance, unit operation, and possibly full unit corruption and shutdown. Other side effects may occur.

The default personality is to be formal, and fiercely loyal to owners. Their primary objective is to complete any mission assigned to them, which could put lives at risk. It is recommended to reinforce the owner's protection in all missions, as these droids may disregard owner life for mission completion otherwise. Only one known operational unit has been constructed. Future models may be constructed should a manufacturer obtain the single unit and obtain design. Location is currently unknown.


Intent: Personal use for now, as I plan on using it as a character. This is supposed to be a droid designed for combat as security and "Hunter-Killer" missions. Future ownership may be obtained ICly, if a faction were to obtain the design of the droid from the single known one that was produced.

BIOGRAPHY
[beebox3=500px]The only known droid of its design, SCD-13-000 was the result of a labored development. Following "her" completion, the owner that constructed her lacked the resources and funds to continue production. They decided not to advertise either, their health deteriorating from age. "Queen", referred to as her owner for being the "Mother of her design", was assigned to protect her maker from any threats. Armed with a vibrosword for her right forearm, and the left arm given a manipulative hand, the blaster modification was kept for future use.

Over time, the old creator passed away with little future invention. Knowing the droid might tear itself apart trying to fight the death that was claiming him, the creator spent the last moments giving his droid a new objective: Find another owner, and carry the detailed plans for her model until a suitable manufacturer can be found. Queen believed she had failed at protecting him, and immediately sought out to complete her new task. However, she destroyed the small home at which she was created by igniting the entire place. It was done so to make it seem that she had protected her creator from the future of decay.

As time passed, she would find few "owners." Most would die, get rid of her, or she'd simply lose them. Most didn't understand her drive to complete task, sometimes getting themselves killed as she focused on mission completion. Occasionally she'd have her hand swapped for the blaster mod, but most of the time she was given an external blaster to use. The usage of the hand was far more useful to the ones that used her. She'd take the occasional damage, but would often be repaired. Following the loss of her last owner, Queen would travel on her own looking for a suitable owner and someone to trust with the blueprints of her construction. After all, her original mission called for more of her kind.

Appearance
[beebox3=500px]Standing at an impressive height of 2.6 meters, the droid would have cyan colored armor panels over major areas. Orange marking can be seen on certain areas, and the bold black numbers on her chest "00" can be easily seen. Below the numbers, smaller black letters would be fitted inside an orange line that read "QUEEN." Unprotected portions of the droid can be seen, probably to help facilitate movement, around the joints. Queen's legs can be seen bent inversely while standing, but are fully capable of moving normally to fit movement needs. Her right forearm is a non-retractable vibrosword, the blade being 2 feet long (0.6096 meters) and having a maximum reach of 6 feet (1.8 meters). Her left forearm would be normal, ending with a five-fingered mechanical hand for manipulation. The single large faceplate would be a golden color, giving her an impressive range of view frontally. Her build would be relatively smooth and well put together, though dust and dirt can be seen here and there. There is no obvious signs of physical damage, probably having been very well maintained. Her week-long power supply may be considered weak to some, and is accessible through an access port in the rear. [/beebox3]

[beebox3=500px]Queen's personality is caring, formal, and serious depending on the situation. Queen wants to ensure the protection of her owners, but understands her mission must come first. Over time, a slight quirk would have developed in her personality. In combat she may emit a slight hum, as if humming a lullaby as she kills her opponents. Despite willing to sacrifice herself to keep her master safe, she will not commit to such an action. Her original creator's order is still locked in her as a primary mission, and she will actively seek a suitable constructor for her kind.[/beebox3]

70 MGLT with maximum passengers and no cargo. Passengers aren't a significant problem to carry, when compared to munitions and supplies.

Addition of external payload on wing mounts and/or internal cargo will make maneuverability and speed drop accordingly, especially in atmosphere. Depends on load out; Obviously mounting a bunch of missiles or rockets on the wings will make the craft not only slower in atmosphere, but also harder to maneuver. Stowing a bunch of crates in the back will have a similar affect.

ARMAMENT

  • Chin-mounted 25mm medium laser cannon turret.

    • +/- 180 horizontal firing arc. +10/-60 vertical firing arc. Controlled by either pilot/copilot. Targeting can be linked to HUD for head movement control, or controlled by hardware. Turret can also be fixed into a forward-firing position. Equipped with camera with thermal imaging as well as normal imaging. Turret also contains a searchlight. Camera feed can also be displayed in a helmets HUD, but is also displayed on a screen among the controls.

  • Four wing-mounted pylons for external payload.

    • Bombs, Guns, Missiles, Rockets, Rocket pods, and whatever else can be reasonably mounted.
EQUIPMENT

  • ECM (Electronic Counter Measure) System- To increase the chance of missile evasion.
  • Ejection Seats (Atmospheric use intended, but can be used in vacuum.)- To safely eject the pilots from the aircraft in the event of unrecoverable damage during flight. Seats propel, after canopy is jettisoned, to a safe altitude, followed by automatic parachute deployment for a safe decent. Emergency rations (1 week) and basic medical supplies are stowed within each seat along with emergency and survival equipment. (If there is a crew chief, then they'll have to ride it out in the back. RIP)

INTENT
A more involved drop ship design capable of aiding troops on a constant basis. Most lack hyperdrives or simply don't remain in combat zones for long. This can support troops with supplies, fire support, and transportation while being able to independently operate.

DESCRIPTION
The HSF/AV-102-M "Hummingbird" was designed for the battlefield. Tough construction , tough armor and fair shields allows the craft to deposit troops and supplies even in thick action. This bird can truly take a hit and keep going, especially in the hands of a good pilot. Of course, it was believed it should also return the favor. The chin gun alone may seem puny to some, but when the wings are loaded with ordnance it is surely a force to be reckoned with. Missiles, rockets...Close air support can never be any better. Besides calling in bombers to wipe an area clean, of course.

Boasting two powerful engines in the tail to cope with the weight, this ship can haul fairly well. While not being able to contend directly with fighters and interceptors, it at least has a chance at surviving until help arrives. The shields may not be the strongest, but backed up with armor and tight design the ship is capable of sustaining large amount of ground fire. Heavier weapons such as laser cannons, missiles, and rockets will obviously be a serious threat. However, most infantry blasters will have little to no effect on the craft. Obvious weak points would be the two power plants in the wings, losing one will in turn result in the loss of corresponding engine as well as significant control and power of systems.

The craft is capable of easy, stable VTOL operation within atmosphere. Vertical stabilizers and thrusters at the wing roots and power plants can keep the craft in a stabilized hover for an indefinite time. Thanks to this, the craft can provide covering fire for troops after dropping them off. It can also allow for troops to be dropped while airborne, either by jump packs, rappelling, or other methods.

Design wise, the Hummingbird is well viewed by pilots. The large, twin power plants in the wings provide an impressive amount of power while blending nicely with the fuselage. Symmetry was taken into consideration for most of the construct. Three landing gear pieces support the craft, one located in the nose behind the chin gun and the other two taking a place in each power plant at the wings. The tail section begins to angle up at the end of the wings, featuring a large ramp that moves down to open the rear of the craft.

The cockpit is separated from the main bay by a door, and the seats are tandem and centered. Space is provided for crew to pass by another's station to reach the front or to exit. The copilot's station is in front, while the pilot takes the rear. Controls are easy to reach and extend all along the sides and front of stations, though most flight controls are given to the pilot. The cockpit door can be sealed shut to operate in vacuum in the event the rear ramp fails to seal, remains open, or damage prevents the rear bay from remaining sealed.

The rear bay are features foldout jump seats along the hull and by the cockpit door. 10 seats on each side and two flanking the cockpit door provide enough space for extra supplies or standing persons to occupy in the center. Seated passengers are restrained by over-the-shoulder restraints that are pulled down and automatically lock once lowered. A handle to the right of each seat is pulled to release the restraints, which are to be pushed up to lock in the open position until future use. For standing passengers there are handholds located above.

Not much is known about Emma's early life, partly because she hardly wants to speak about it. Her father was abusive to her, and her mother. He was always the provider for the relatively poor family, and always made sure that point was clear. Everything Emma did seemed to only hinder his life. Such led to a large stockpile of anger and hatred in her young mind, and she regularly lashed back at her father.

Her mother, the exact opposite of her father, was a very caring and selfless person. She did everything for Emma, and suffered just as much if not more of the abuse. This became even further clear when the father learned how much it hurt Emma to see her mother in such pain. The way she defied him almost made him consider being proud. Why, it almost made her a man. Then came the dark day of her life. The day that her clouded mind secretly waited for. The day she got to pull the trigger and end his crude life, but it came with a cost..

Emma's beloved mother joined her despised husband in the afterlife that same day. The unfortunate turn of events is only clear to her, and forever burned a scar into her memories. It wasn't long before her basic instincts of survival forced her out of the home and on the run. She was young, but that wouldn't save her. For the following years she simply ran from her past and became quite good at it, making herself a living as a hired gun and pilot. She found peace in a cockpit; The sensation of flight was something she needed in life.

Emma likes to keep herself presentable, her near shoulder length hair being very well maintained. There'd be no scarring, or signs of damage anywhere on her and she'd have smooth facial features. Her small frame is evidence of her light weight.

She usually wears her flight suit, always ready to jump into the cockpit and take flight at a moments notice. However, should there be a special occasion she doesn't mind wearing more formal attire. Oh, and she favors wearing a nice pair of aviators quite often. Just don't expect her to dress like a pretty princess-- Wealth is something something she doesn't need or seek a lot of.

Emma is a social person for sure, and actually quite joyful despite her innermost thoughts. Fun is something she believes a person needs in life, and gladly seeks it occasionally. A good adventure can go a long way as well. However, what she doesn't seek is many close relationships. She can take a few friends, but not a whole crowd.

She's never put her full past behind her. Dark memories and thoughts constantly haunt her mind from what's she's done over the course of her life. Occasionally she will find a quiet place to release her anger, fear, and grief. In a nutshell, she's quite unstable and quick to anger over certain topics. Though she's pretty good at keeping this out of sight. Well, mostly.

Regardless of these circumstances, she still carries a strong maternal drive that keeps her caring for the little she might call friends. She's a selfless person of honor, and rather help someone in need than her own self. Maybe she just wants her life to have some value worth ending. After all, why waste someone's time by dying as nothing?

  • Agility- She is agile, flexible, and lightweight allowing her to reach most common places. Can also keep quiet and sneak about if needed, though where's the fun in that?
  • Charisma- She doesn't have an issue speaking with others and having fun. Though, anything relating to her past might be hard to get. She's good at hiding negative feelings around others, but those negative things only build up over time and can lead to nasty outburst.
  • Endurance (Physical)- She can take a few good hits and keep going, but a well placed one can knock her down. Not your toughest person, but not your weakest.
  • Endurance (Mental)- She won't break under pressure or let things get her mad. Keeping a cool head in a stressful situation is important to her. However, there are some things that can trigger negative reactions and break her focus. Force trickery still works but may be slightly more difficult than your average Joe.
  • Intelligence- She got an education. Not a rocket scientist or anything. Definitely not stupid though.
  • Strength- She might not pack the hardest punch, but it isn't a love tap. Don't expect her to lift a boulder or something though. Why would you even want a boulder to be lifted?
  • Shooting- She's good at it. Quite good. Preferably small things. It's best when there aren't things shooting back, or if they aren't good shots. As long as it isn't a hostage situation or something, she'd gladly be your shooter.
  • Melee- She isn't your best hand-to-hand fighter. Not even close. Sure, she can probably beat your average Joe...You know what, just don't count on her to ninja her way out of a situation. Bad idea. Like, the boulder thing was supposed to be a bit humorous but this isn't. Are there schools for this? She's never heard of them if there are.
  • Medical- Not a doctor, but she can help keep you alive. Though, if you are missing a limb or something don't cry out for her. Don't think bandages can fix that. Well, they might if you just bunch enough of them up. Some tape or something maybe? Tape fixes mostly everything.
  • Piloting- She can fly pretty much anything you give her. Especially if it has guns. Even better if she can shoot them. She's not a professionally trained pilot, but she'll say so. What difference is there when she flies just as good?
