"You're just a charm at parties, aren't you?" He said sarcastically. He stood still and focused...he wanted that holocron. He put up his hand, concentrated hard...and pulled the holocron to him. "Finally." He said and put it in his knapsack. "Too bad I had to Force it from you, though." He chuckled and put away his lightsaber.

Skaut cracked his neck.
"How's about you and I take a trip to Korriban?"

Soran could tell the man was putting up a front, he was exhausted and had a long way to go before he could be called Sith but to move something on his first try meant he was either talented or very angry. Slowly letting the area wash over him Soran found his answer, it was anger, this was a very angry young man under the surface. "I think we can manage that, but next time you poison someone at a backwater canteen make sure it is good poison. I wasn't kidding about the ale.", this story felt familiar, almost like a dream. It was his own story, with...Calmax, he detested the name now he would take that place in a never-ending cycle. "My transport is back near town, I will take you but I can tell you nothing else. You might have what it takes...then again you might not.", he let the last word almost take shape in the air around them as he turned and walked back toward the town.

"Wait up!" He said and ran to catch up to Soran. "By the way, that wan't poison, it was a prank powder I bought on the way here." He chuckled. "Must've had an allergic reaction to it, I guess." He looked at Soran. "So tell me, why does the Sith want a holocron?" He asked, confused. "Don't you guys have those already, or did you guys downgrade in recent years?"

"What holocron?", Soran had already shifted his thoughts elsewhere, he was going home after two months searching for nothing here. He snapped back to the situation, "Why are you searching for the Sith?" This should have been the first question but Soran must be cautious, he did not need this stranger learning too much too fast. Soran slowed his pace to let Skaut catch up.

"I feel the Sith is a better life for me, rather than being a pirate or a millionaire.'' He said, remembering the home he left a lng time ago, this filled him with a sort of...dread? No. He hadn't felt it before, so why would he now? "You okay? You spaced out."

Soran felt his answer more than hearing it, the response gave him goosebumps as if he just visited his favorite massage parlor. "This is a hard life, full of devotion. You can not just stop if you start, the Empire and the Dark Side are everything...", he trailed off as he walked knowing what this boy would go through if he trained, running his hand along the scar that covered his torso...the goosebumps were gone. "Here we are.", the pair walked behind a large storage building to a landing pad, "After you, I hope you are up for a long journey." Soran boarded after Skaut, he got comfortable and began reading a data pad from the bag he had stored onboard.

"You a heavy reader?" Skaut asked, pulling out the looted holocron. "Parents made me read a lot." He studied the holocron. "At first...I never reallt thought the Sith and the Dark Side would be where I would go with my life, but here I am, I guess." He said, puting it back and pulled out his blaster pistol. "Why did you join the Sith, eh? Nowhere else to go?" He asked, rememebring the feelings his parents pounded into his young mind...dread, anger, self-pity. There was almost no happiness in his life.

(sorry, had to eat.)

"I love learning, the Jedi frown on the idea of love...", Soran was reminded of his dislike of the Jedi ideals. He could not stand what they thought was right but honestly had never met one, he really did not hate them just their beliefs. "The Sith allow you to follow passion, for me that was learning. For others that is love, hate, physical indulgences, it doesn't matter to them as long as you are loyal to the cause.", Soran looked out the window, the ship had slowed down and Korriban was in view. He looked at his home...home what an unfamiliar word yet here it was, "We will land in a short time and you will be asked to speak with some higher ups, I wish you luck. If you are accepted feel free to find me if you are in need." Within a few short minutes the transport landed and Soran headed to his quarters to continue research, he really did hope Skaut would find a home here as well.
