DESCRIPTION
The KTV-36 is a fairly old weapon, but that does not hinder its performance. Created for the Imperial Armed Forces shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the KTV was a revolutionary weapon. It was capable of pumping out twenty-five rounds per second (1,200 RPM) on its highest firing mode. It quickly became known as 'The Emperor's Grinder' by Rebel troops, the name originating from the shredding noise the weapon makes when firing (and the fact it shredded Rebels with ease). In optimal conditions, one of these guns had a crew of three (gunner, loader, spotter), but could be operated singlehandedly. The weapon could be fired from a vehicle mount, by being rested on the ground, a foldable bipod that was mounted on the underside of the barel, or, in an emergency, fired like a rifle. However, firing it like a carbine was highly inadvisable, as the recoil would bruise the shoulder of the weilder badly and firing from such a position was highly inaccurate. The KTV's high rate of fire also meant that the barrel had to be swapped every two hundred shots or so to prevent overheating and eventual jamming. Spare barrels and a field repair kit were issued to KTV operators for that exact reason. The weapon also has a fire rate control knob on the side of the breech area, allowing the operator to set the rate of fire to anywhere from three rounds a second to the full twenty-five per second.

Despite its flaws and ammo-guzzling characteristics, it was fielded in large numbers by both the Empire and First Order. The weapon is still in production, and has a fearsome and well-earned reputation.

LEGALITY
Restricted. KTV-36 repeating blasters are capable of singlehandedly wiping out entire infantry squads, and possessing one requires a copious amount of licensing on most worlds.

INTENT
To add a type of weapon not often seen on the site: light machine guns (repeaters). Based off of the MG42.

RESTRICTIONS
As a repeater, this weapon cannot be used in any sort of PvP engagement.
