Kuat. The finest shipyards in the galaxy. The producer of many vessels in the galaxy, and for the Republic. The Republic Navy is fuelled by the munitions and warships which run out of the production lines every day here. Which is why these facilities had to remain in top top condition. So here was Bretharr, assigned to Senator Pax's group, to provide escort for the Senator as he conducted a relatively standard inspection. There shouldn't be too much external threat, so if there were to be an issue, it would come in the inside. Which was why he was here. He stood in the shuttle heading to Kuat, silent. He was pondering on any career opportunities elsewhere. Probably not now he had served the Republic military, but it was hardly the life of glory he had expected, but demotion, and constant political meddling...

Gods be good but Numenius was quickly losing the will to live.

All of these inspections were going to be the death of him he swore - some of them were just annoying and some of them were tedious in the extreme. But all of them, without fail, were something that a senator likely shouldn't have to waste their time doing. But no, he was stuck here because he had volunteered.

Why the hells had he volunteered again?

Sighing again, he ran a hand through his hair as he glanced at Bretharr out of the corner of his eye.

"You're the one who got court martialed aren't you?"

Bretharr sighed, and put his palm to his face. A facepalm. He really didn’t want to be reminded of his experience. He now had a rather seething hatred of Senators. He didn’t know whether this one was trying to rub it in or not. If he was... Oh dear there would be trouble
“Sir yes sir.” He grumbled, with a mix of embarrassment and fury clear on his face. He hoped that the shuttle would touch down quickly, and he would get out soon.

Terrific.

Seemed that he was on a mission where the officer in charge of his security was a known risk. Well... he supposed that beggars couldn't be choosers and all that. And the guy probably had learned his lesson. He should probably cut the poor guy some slack... with a sigh, he decided he would have to do just that and instead of saying anything about it, he just let it go.

They had things to be getting on with after all.

"Remind me Lieutenant, what are we doing here today?"

He grimaced a little bit,

"I've done so many recruitment drives and inspections that they're beginning to blur into one..."

When the Senator sighed, he kind of knew what the Senator’s position on him was. Fan bloody tastic. So now he was a liability eh? Little...
He resolved not to try and murder the Senator by the time the mission was over, and he had a distraction when he was asked about what they were here to do.
“Ah yes. We are inspecting the Kuat fighter production lines, to make sure that they have not been completely and utterly incinerated, so that we can let the little fellas in the Senate know that they can sleep easy, knowing that our fighter production from Kuat is safe and sound.” Before pausing
“And also, if there is signs of sabotage, arresting the people who have committed it, charge them with the usual, and if necessary, see them swing at the end of a rope.”
Before again pausing
“Or something similar.”
