Miranda was starting to love Naboo. It was more home to her than Ryloth had ever been. The experiences she had had on the two different planets were literally night and day for her. When she was a slave on Ryloth she was kept in the pitch black spice mines and had seen for the first time not that long ago. Naboo was peaceful and beautiful to her, it was something sacred to her, it was her first real home she had ever had.

Her friends, Kai and Jade, had shown her around and not just the places she had wandered about when she was living at Ms. Light’s orphanage. Kai had shown her around places where people like her gathered, people who could use the force. She was enamored by the Jedi, scattered as they were. What she admired most was their strong will to survive. It was something that she had in common with them. As she was now however, she was wandering one of the training halls that Kai had shown her and found herself in a library. Even though she wasn’t very good at reading, in fact she could hardly read at all, she still wanted to learn as much as she could. She found a book that caught her interest, mainly because of the pictures on the cover and took it down. She found a nice quiet table by herself and opened up to try and decipher the words inside.

There where a number of new padwan learners on Naboo theses days. May be the other save havens where a bit to harsh. Naboo had good weather and Theed had some of the best. Never to cold or hot. Even the odd rainy day was not to bad. So it struke Jake odd to see one of these new padwan's page through a book looking at the pictures. It took Jake a seconded to remember her name. It was Miranda if he was correct.

Deciding to see if she needed any help Jake introduced him self. "Hey there. Miranda right? I am Jake, do you perhaps need some help. I noticed you struggling there."

Miranda still couldn't make since of the book she was attempting to read. The pictures in the book showed the Jedi doing all sorts of things, from meditation to combat with pretty colored weapons. The words proved to be too difficult for her and she took to looking at the pictures. Miranda was so engrossed in looking at the pictures that when Jake introduced himself it took her a moment to answer back.

"Um, hi?" she said in a rather timid, quiet voice. Miranda never thought of her self as shy, but rather that she had never had much need to speak before also she was uncomfortable around others still, "I, um, sure."

“Really?” Miranda asked, genuinely confused, her old master had told her that the force worked in mysterious ways and if she lived long enough that she would see this for herself and he was right. The random book she picked up was the very thing she was interested in learning about most right now.

“What can you tell me about the order? I think I’m one of those padawans you’re talking about.”

"Well to tell it all may take a few thousand years. The order is old and though it has sufferd set back's before it has never been truly destroyed. For has long has there is one Jedi the order has survived. Of course what you want to know is the history. Jake had to think, for no one really knew the early history of the Jedi order. "While where and who started the Order is up for debate. But it was founded just before or after the first republic. That is all most 30 000 years ago. Though it took thousands of years for the order to become guardians of peace and justice."
