Miranda was starting to love Naboo. It was more home to her than Ryloth had ever been. The experiences she had had on the two different planets were literally night and day for her. When she was a slave on Ryloth she was kept in the pitch black spice mines and had seen for the first time not that long ago. Naboo was peaceful and beautiful to her, it was something sacred to her, it was her first real home she had ever had.
Her friends, Kai and Jade, had shown her around and not just the places she had wandered about when she was living at Ms. Light’s orphanage. Kai had shown her around places where people like her gathered, people who could use the force. She was enamored by the Jedi, scattered as they were. What she admired most was their strong will to survive. It was something that she had in common with them. As she was now however, she was wandering one of the training halls that Kai had shown her and found herself in a library. Even though she wasn’t very good at reading, in fact she could hardly read at all, she still wanted to learn as much as she could. She found a book that caught her interest, mainly because of the pictures on the cover and took it down. She found a nice quiet table by herself and opened up to try and decipher the words inside.
