The birds sang. The crickets chirped. The lush foliage of the overgrown trees exemplified the luxurious freedom of nature as one Maliel Ascondt strolled briskly down a cobble path. The girl hummed a merry tune, keeping a skip in her step all the way along as she made her way to a familiar destination. In the forests of Ord Mantell there was a beautiful sanctuary that Mal had long ago visited. It was just after her trials, and she went on a short journey to evaluate her life; she had almost left the order at that time.

She had found the ruins of what may have been an ancient Jedi temple, though it was more likely simply the home of a reclusive Jedi. It was practically a force nexus, and was filled to the brim with natural, vibrant energies. It was where Maliel had always gone to train; more importantly, it was where she always went to find her sense of self.

Keeping this in mind, she had decided this was the perfect place to bring her new padawan. She had decided that it was finally time to move on from the death of her master, and it was finally time to move on emotionally herself. She needed this, and it was her duty to pass on the knowledge to the next generation.

As she stepped through the edge of the foliage, and into the courtyard of their destination, she leapt gracefully onto a broken stone pillar, spreading her arms out as she felt the latent force energies in the area. She took a deep breath as she relished in their positively bright feeling.

"Rokuro, I welcome you to my unofficial, and most likely stolen apartment!"

Now Rokuro had only just came back from his haitus from the order. He believed that if he had some off time, mainly comprised of meditation, deep thinking and helping out the galaxy from behind the scenes while promoting the good side of the Jedi Order around the galaxy. Finally coming to his senses and returned to the Jedi order, his only home and the people cared for him in the galaxy. Yet he had been given a master straight off the bat. He wasn't really sure that he needed a ,aster so quickly. He had barely gotten over Jaleer's death and was terrified of disappointing him, he wondered what he would say in his nightmares tonight.

Yet this master seemed nice enough, though she hadn't said much to him when she had first arrived so he was rather quiet and calm instead of loud as usual. He just simply followed behind as she led him to the massive temple, the waves of the force flew over him and he was in awe at the pure amount of energy. It was just.... exhilarating.

"Rokuro, I welcome you to my unofficial, and most likely stolen apartment!"

"Wow, it's not as modern as my apartment on Corellia but its close enough I suppose. Tell me, how did you find this?"

Maliel stood proudly atop her pillar, gazing at the home she had found. This had been a place of great solace—one where she had built both her skills as a force user, and her sense of self. It felt good to share it with her padawan, especially when he was at nearly the same age she had been when she had discovered it. Perhaps this place would be the conduit to rebuilding a fullness of peace in young Rokuro, as it once had for her.

More importantly, perhaps it could truly rebuild her own sense of peace. Perhaps this would be where she would finally learn to let go of the hatred she held for the Sith; perhaps this would be where she learned to accept things, once and for all. She needed to move on.

"Once, Rokuro, I wasn't so much unlike yourself. Now, I wasn't exactly as brawny and dashing as you, but my state of mind wasn't too far off."
She said with a sadness in her eyes. "I loathed the Jedi, for awhile. I loathed what we were about, and I wasn't sure I could follow the order any longer. I left for a time, hoping to come to some conclusion about what I truly needed to do with my life." She said. "I found this place when I was at my lowest point. I was actually wandering around the woods kinda aimlessly. I didn't actually have any goal, I just felt good about this place."

Maliel took a moment to feel the atmosphere and the force-enriched nature in the area. "It's truly just beautiful, to me." She said with admiration in her voice. "I wanted to share this with you because I know how much it helped me, both with my training, and with coming to terms with my place in this galaxy. Heck, I still need this place." She said with a chuckle.

"I hope you can find the same things in it that I did."

Rokuro watched his master from on the ground looking up, watching her fully be happy and her emotions fully free and unsuppressed. It was clear that she had a lot of feelings for the place and it was maybe thee one and only place she was truly happy in. Rokuro had a place like that yet it was vastly different from the overgrown temple. His modernised appartment was the one place where he truly felt happy and free without the need to supress himself. Memories were stored there, important ones and he could assume that it was the same for her.

He listened to her speech about how she was far too similar to him and how she truely loathed what the Jedi were about at the time, which was what rokuro was feeling the same at this point also. She had also took some time away from the Jedi to assess her situation which was what Rokuro had done. The surprise similarities in their stories truely resonated with Rokuro and he felt like he truely had a connection and similarities between their stories. She also spoke about how she wanted to show this to him as she hoped he would find the same values that she found in it.

"Its beautiful and is so peaceful, this is perfect for my meditations. Thank you for showing me this place. Im still not sure with my place within the order but it was the only place i have ever had, and i couldnt throw it away without at least visiting it once again."

Maliel worse a soft smile as she leapt from the pillar, landing deftly on the soft earth. She landed in a crouch, and rose to her feet, turning to face her padawan as she did so. "You know....even now, I still don't know about that myself. Perhaps that makes me the worst one to try and help you, but you're stuck with me for now." She said with a giggle. Maliel was growing tired of this depressing air, personally, and decided that had to change immediately.

Maliel jumped backwards, flipping twice and landing twenty feet away, still facing Rokuro. "Enough of that! Let's have some fun!" She said with a devilish smirk. She reached out into the force, grabbing onto his lightsaber pike and pulling it to her hands. She turned it over a few times, inspecting it critically. She set it aside, and reached out again, quickly pulling the backup lightsaber she knew Rokura kept with him. Despite any and all appearances, she wasn't simply stealing them for fun.

"All right, munchkin." She said with a grin. "You're on defense!" tossed his saber to the ground along with the pike, and pulled one of her pistols from her hip. "You boundaries are those pillars around you. Don't go beyond them, and no trying to get your weapons back."

With that, she pulled the trigger with deadly accuracy, aiming directly for her padawan's chest. "Oh, and do try to stay alive. I don't have the time, nor the inclination to report that you died in a simple training exercise." She said sarcastically.

You know....even now, I still don't know about that myself. Perhaps that makes me the worst one to try and help you, but you're stuck with me for now."

The depressing air vanished suddenly as his master decided that she wanted a more fun first meeting.

"Enough of that! Let's have some fun!"

He jumped slightly as he felt his pike fall away from his back and soon it was in her arms as she critically examined his saber and he worried slightly that she may not approve of his design and then his spare blade. How did she even know it was there??

"You boundaries are those pillars around you. Don't go beyond them, and no trying to get your weapons back."

Rokuro was initially confused before she pulled her pistol and fired, aiming straight for the Padawan's chest, yelping and rolling backwards towards the pillar, smacking his head off the pillar.

He began to dodge, rolling and leaping out of the way of blaster bolts as Rokuro started to charge up his force before finally reaching out and grabbing the blaster, sending it straight to his hand

"You didn't say that I couldn't take your weapon?"
