Evandrus wanted Lothal to be strong, he wanted Lothal to be powerful and part of them meant that the planet needed to have jobs and it needed to have money. In conjunction with his plans to have a shipyard built above the world, he wanted to make sure that there was at least one company based here there would design things for both the shipyard and for the arms and armour markets throughout the Empire.

With that in mind, Evandrus had the idea for a company and he wanted to set it up. But when it came to setting up a company, you needed to get a few things.

First was credits... which he had.

Second was a location... which was why he and Xornoth were now waiting to see the owner of a new skyscraper and high concept building that had been built in the capital city of Lothal.

And the way he got Xornoth on board to assist him?

"And it's because I have the start up capital and had the original idea - that is why it's a 60/40 split with me having the 60." he explained to Xornoth before grinning, "If this thing takes off? You'll be the richest Kaleesh in the Galaxy even with 'only' 40% ownership."

The naval might of the empire would be represented by the largest and most powerful warships ever designed but even the great star destroyer required supporting vessels when going into combat against enemy fleets. Lothal was the perfect planet to design and produce the weapons of war that would dominate the galaxy but even Xornoth knew that it couldn't be done alone.

It was well known that the hand that guided the two most recent designs that originated from Lothal came from a wild young Kaleesh with an aptitude for the third-dimensional operations of void combat.

It could not have been done without the vast teams of engineers they had brought on board which is why there was a need for a permanent research and development company on Lothal which could bring in the brightest minds and the vast profits off whatever the team could come up with.

"You might have had the idea for the business," Xornoth said pointing to the improperly tied tie under the lord's chin. "But the naval designs are all my prodigy, friend." He grinned at the thought of where they were going now as the elevator shot up toward the penthouse for their very first "board" meeting of sorts.

They didn't exactly own the skyscraper but the Prince of Lothal was fast becoming used to acquiring anything he set his eyes on so Xornoth didn't worry much yet.

"So as I was saying, In my travels, I've discovered a force sensitive Zeltron with dark tendencies we ought to.." Xornoth was cut off as they reached the zenith of their climb and were greeted by several wealthy dressed businessmen and women.

Evandrus couldn't help but laugh a little bit as he and his friend and ally bantered in the elevator as it brought them up towards the board room. It was going to be their tower soon and he rather liked the elevator. But back to the banter! There would be time enough to be serious soon after all.

"Yes but ideas don't get you a business or credits." he told her friend with a smirk and a wink, "But hey - 40% will still make you richer than almost anyone in the Empire."

Provided the company grew at the rate that Evandrus expected it to... which it likely would considering it's competition in the market of the Sith Empire was virtually non-existent right now. Their biggest competitors would be mandal motors and that company was still struggling to get themselves adapted to Imperial designs rather than Mandalorian designs.

He wouldn't be surprised if the Mandalorians planned a rebellion at some stage either.

"As always, stories about Zeltrons are fun but tell me later?" he grinned to Xornoth before stepping out of the elevator with a bright, friendly, smile that had the young man behind the reception desk flushing a little bit, "Hello there - I believe we're the two o'clock? Prince Evandrus and Warden Sk'ar?"

The receptionist snapped out of his stupor and blushed as he looked over the files - Evandrus raised an eyebrow to Xornoth as they waited - before looking back up as Evandrus returned his attention to the man in front of him.

"I'll just go in and make sure the owner is ready for you Your Majesty."

Evandrus flashed him a smile and, without looking at the man's name tag, locked eyes with him.

"Thank you Corth."

The receptionist went bright red in the face and hurried into the owner's office to discuss their arrival with the other man. Evandrus hummed a little bit and smirked at Evandrus.

"I think he likes me."

Xornoth would have to make do with the forty percent offered, not that he really minded in the end and truthfully he was lucky to be offered that much in the first place but alas. The pair stood comically watching the blush faced receptionist scurry off to speak with their boss, apparently, news of their meeting hadn't made it to the front office.

Yelling could be heard coming from the inside of the boardroom behind the reception which wasn't terribly flattering. "I don't give a damn if it's the Prince of Lothal, I'm not selling!" It would seem that they would have their work cut out for them today on this mission but a hard negotiation was something that they had come prepared for. Xornoth motioned toward the boardroom door and smirked to Evandrus.

"I think that's our cue to introduce ourselves, don't you think?" Xornoth casually walked toward the double doors and threw them open, a clear and transparent display of brazenness and a solid negotiation tactic. All eyes were immediately upon him as the seven board members were surprised to see the Kaleesh's entrance into their little sanctum.

Xornoth moved up to the table, drawing a chair for himself with the force and sat down with a confident silence to allow Evandrus to make the opening remarks. The CEO of the board sat across the room with three fellow members on each side of the table leaving several vacant seats for the pair to fill if they so desired.

Evandrus couldn't help but smirk.

So they weren't going to sell even if he was the Prince of Lothal huh? Well that's a gutsy stance to take when you're talking about the man who owns the planet you are currently standing on. He raised an eyebrow to Xornoth, unable to contain a smile. Oh... oh this was going to be fun as far as he was concerned.

He did enjoy putting some people in their place after all.

Nodding in agreement, Evandrus made a motion as if to dust off his shoulder as he stepped in after Xornoth had flung the doors open. Wandering in leisurely after Xornoth, Evandrus smiled brightly at the receptionist, who blushed harder before hurriedly leaving. He hummed slightly and raised a hand to stop the CEO from speaking... what only the CEO and Xornoth knew was that he was also using the Force to subtly begin to choke the man.

"Good afternoon."

He didn't take a seat.

Instead, he moved down the side of the table so that he was stood halfway between the directors and where Xornoth was sat. He glanced down the line as the CEO began to get rather red in the face.

"I want to buy this building. I have the credits to buy this building. I have the status to buy this building." He smirked a little bit, "I even have the best possible name to buy this building. Now... can anyone explain to my why I can't seem to buy this building? What objections do you have?"

He released the CEO's throat to let the man breathe. The CEO took a few deeper breaths, drawing confused looks from his peers, before speaking.

"You have no business experience."

Evandrus' smile froze and the temperature in the room dropped... the CEO quickly amended his statement.

"That is to say, you don't have the relevant business experience, my Prince."

Xornoth grinned when the CEO had the brass to stand up and oppose one of the most powerful men in the galaxy. Someone like him was either brave before measure or just plain stupid although given his position within the company he surmised it had to be the former. A man like this shrugging off being strangled by a Sith Lord and not immediately giving in to his demands was perhaps not going to give them what they wanted by further threats to his person, despite how forthcoming the pair of Sith were to enacting such threats into reality.

Xornoth stood up and climbed onto the boardroom table, stretching his back before making his way down menacingly toward the group of executives with the larger than normal height disparity. With his heavy armored boot, Xornoth crushed the CEO's mug of caf before bending down to stare him in the face with a large grin still protecting his enjoyment of the situation. Taking out a small datapad from his pocket and handing it to the bewildered man for him to play the video that was on screen.

Bewilderment gave away to horror and dread as the screen displayed a security recording of the man's small son enjoying an afternoon with none other than the cute little Prince Elix. It appeared that the man was unaware that the very same park that his wife took their child to was simultaneously playing host to the little Prince of Lothal although his focus was entirely on his own child.

"I disagree with that sentiment my friend, you see the Prince is a bit of a family man himself. Go on, tell me that running a business isn't like taking care of one's family. The Prince here is willing to travel the length of the galaxy for his, what would you be willing to do for yours?"

A second data pad was then produced which contained the legal documents required to transfer ownership of the building and its contents to L.I.D. All that was required was for the man to touch the screen to confirm the agreement and any implied threat would be over. The man was visibly torn between his principals and that of love for his child and he took a few moments to consider his options before conceding that he couldn't risk the life of his child for a building. With his handprint to confirm the sale, the job was done and Xornoth patted him on the shoulder "That wasn't so bad now was it? Pleasure doing business with you."

Xornoth looked toward Evandrus and nodded, before packing the datapads back into his pocket and jumping down onto the floor. Unless his Lord wished to speak further, he would depart for the elevator for the trip down and perhaps a little debrief if the Prince was unhappy with his choice of negotiating tactic.

Evandrus was happy enough with how these talks had gone.

In the end, there was nothing they could do but accept what he had put forward to them and they did just that rather easily. Both himself and Xornoth had been a little bit heavy handed but he didn't have any issues with that. They were the representatives of the Sith Empire.

They could afford to be heavy handed.

As they were leaving, Evandrus chuckled a little bit as the receptionist, blushing up a storm, handed him his holonumber and hurried back behind the desk. As the elevator doors closed, Evandrus burned the piece of paper with the number on it. He had no intention of taking the young man up on his offer. He rolling his eyes a little bit.

"As if, right?" he joked with Xornoth as they stood in the elevator before humming slightly, "Although that reminds me... we need to get you seeing someone. Rebound and all that. Get you back in the game."

He smirked,

"Hmm... what about Eisa? Explosive personality your type?"

Xornoth let a little laugh out at the sight of the receptionist and then the response from Evandrus in response. Taking to the elevator the topic of rebounding was brought up which had been something on his mind recently. Moving on from the loss was after all a healthy part of life but right now his work had taken up all of the available time that he might have spent looking. Then Evandrus mentioned Eisa as a potential candidate and Xornoth smiled.

"Evandrus the matchmaker hmm? Has the requirement of falling for former Jedi gone since your days my lord? I jest. I cannot say that Eisa is interested in someone like myself but that is perhaps partly due to the limited about of time I have spent with her. She's really changed for the better lately, perhaps something could develop if she was likewise interested."

Their short time in the elevator would give Xornoth time to reflect on what just occurred and there was something that was on his mind that he felt needed to be said.

"Back in that room, the man fervently believed that we would hurt his family if he didn't do what we wanted him to do. A powerful man found out today what the kink in his armor truly was and saw how it defeated him swiftly. You have a family Cregan, one of incredible power and strength too but sometimes I wonder if a family is something we can afford to enjoy with the lives we lead as Sith."

"We will always have something to protect, someone to love but there also will always be someone trying to replace us and willing to use them against us."

Evandrus chuckled a little bit at the idea that he was playing matchmaker... he absolutely was but that was because there was no harm in it. They weren't in the middle of a battle or negotiation so there was no reason why he shouldn't have a bit of fun with his ally. Nothing wrong with it.

"Yes I suppose her consent to be in a relationship with you would help." he joked with a roll of his eyes, "But it'd be down to you to actually woo her Xornoth! I can lead a horse to water but I can't make it drink!"

Humming a little bit, Evandrus listened to Xornoth's concern and he recognised it, really he did, but he didn't agree with the other man at all. He thought about it for a moment before shaking his head,

"Family is strange, Xornoth." he admitted at length, "It's like... pain. Pain is a weakness - but from that weakness, we gain anger and we can hate and through them we gain power in the Dark Side, power enough to counter our weakness and end our enemies."

He smiled,

"So if family is a weakness? It is also the greatest source of strength we can possibly have."

He laughed a little bit,

"Without the family I have the fortune of having I would likely be the Jedi Grandmaster - and I would have killed you and half of my allies and friends already."

Xornoth laughed at the image of being led around by his friend to find love. A man who couldn't find love on his own was not really a man after all at least in Xornoth's mind but alas. Things did take a turn for a more serious nature as Evandrus spoke about family, taking strength from weakness was something of a Sith trait it seemed.

"How fortunate I am then, that you fell with such grace. Still, perhaps you should kill me while you still can my dear friend." Xornoth winked playfully before bursting into laughter. Oh, how they had so much work to do.
