Attack on Zeltros
Zeltros_zpsb0f65ed9.jpg
Zeltros City was the largest city on Zeltros and its fall would pave the way for conquest of the planet. The planet was also one of passion and emotion as the pheromones enabled spreading of feelings faster than anything seen in the galaxy.

Passion, love, and enjoyment had cut many invasions short as the occupiers were overtaken with sentiment. But just as the good could be spread, so could the bad. Fear was a far more contagious emotion than happiness. Even human beings, who lacked pheromones, easily adopted a herd mentality of panic when faced with danger. How much more would it spread amongst those who amplified communicated through unseen emotion?

Three warriors of the Sith Brotherhood received their orders as they neared their objectives. They would spread panic through the city with their bombings, and it would resonate across the galaxy.

Kalii sat in the back of the black repulsor van. She didnt wear her usual Mandalorian armor. Instead she had acquired a set of UAI-19 Combat Armor for this mission, left and right gauntlets each containing their own blaster attachments and retractable cortosis spun vibroblades. Not because it was more suited for an urban environment. Or because it would allow her a greater level of mobility that she had been missing on Tython which had resulted in taking a lightsaber slash to her thigh. No, she wore it because its toxin filters would protect her from the cloying Zeltron pheromones that permeated the very planets air. She was armed rather heavily. Her Nova 67 Blaster Carbine sat in her lap, ready to be used. Hanging from her hips were two lightsabers, both of nonstandard design, with phrik cross guards jutting out of the top for greater hand protection. She also had her usual blaster pistol strapped to her right thing, grip forward in the holster. On top of her usual armament she also had two GN-808 "Gutripper" blaster carbines strapped to her chest and plenty of extra ammunition in the even this mission turned out to be a prolonged engagement. Strapped to her belt was extra fuel pods for her armor's mobility enhancers, extra powerpacks, and a pair of Supernova grenades, as well as a pair of powerful thermal detonators.

Turning to her companions, each who would be going over their own kits, whatever they contained, Kalii contemplated where she was that day. If someone had told her a year ago that one day she would be doing work for the Sacred Band of Ziost and the Sith, she likely would have punched them right in the face... at the very least. Now however, it didnt seem so strange. Her head buzzed as she thought about what they were about to do, and for a second she thought some of the Zeltron pheromones had leaked through her sealed helmet. But that couldn't be it. The sense of elation that filled her at the thought of bombing the Zeltron hospital, of which the repulsorvan was parked in an alley behind, seemed to come from somewhere other than herself. The more she thought on it, the more her head hurt, until a piercing pain spiked through her forehead. Ceasing the thoughts that brought the pain, she spoke to her companions. "Time to move out."

Standing up and slinging the backpack that had been on the ground at her feet up on to her back, she moved towards the van door, checking the quick release buttons on the heavy backpack as she moved. Surveillance screens covered the interior of the van, and she glanced at them to make certain nobody was around to see them leave the van. Once things were all clear, she would push open the repulsor van's rear door and hop down into the street, the weighty permacreet detonators in her backpack bouncing heavily. Not that she had to worry. They were specifically designed to be detonated only from the signal from the detonator at her belt, or a countdown timer. "Lets go." She commanded as she began to move towards the Hospital's alley door, situated their for easy disposal of trash in a pair of large waste containers that sat next to the door. As she moved, her senses were alert, both physical and metaphysical. Her ears strained to listen above the earplugs that would protect her ears against any loud and sudden noises. Eyes darting from shadow to shadow and the alley entrance. Her mind reached out to feel the world around her for any sign of threats.

Pushing open the maintenance door with her carbine at the ready, she was greeted by the site of a clean hospital hallway. To the left there was a door farther down the hall that would lead to the main hospital. To the right was a doorway that led to the fire escape stairway, and was clearly labelled as such. Moving swiftly to the door, she opened it quickly, clearing her corners before moving into the stairwell. Each floor had doors leading into the hospital, and the back and forth stairway went all the way up to the hospitals roof, and all the way down to the parking garage below.

Three objectives. Three destinations. Three Sith. The city of Zeltros' capital would burn today. The Sith had begun their fear campaign on Saluecami and as promised to take Zeltros next. The Republic answered in kind, saying they would not negotiate with terrorists. Was Clara a terrorist? She never thought herself as such. By no means was she a nice person, but she didn't intentionally go out of her way to ruin someone else's life. Guess she expected that to change when she joined the Brotherhood. What did she think was going to happen. This was war after all.

Much like Kalii, Clara Ra'Kul was also wearing a suit of armor. The suit itself was nothing spectacular, it was more for flare really. It was built for protection and speed in mind, so it would keep Clara safe in the worst environments. It had mini-boosters on the legs which could give her a slight push for aerial maneuvers. She typically did not wear the bulky suit, but Zeltros was a planet that had a knack for becoming complacent. The people who breathed in the air were filled with hormones and the like which left the person in a state of bliss; good thing her suit carried with it a rebreather just for cases like these. Fear would be all that was felt today. Fear, pain, death. Clara would bring this. She sat calmly with her main weapon resting on her lap: a razor sharp sword in a white sheath, forged from the galaxy's most valuable materials. She also kept a lightsaber on her person, but rarely ever used it.

She was sitting in a black van with her two other Sith partners. Her shuttle was on route to their destination just in case they needed an evac. It would fly over the hospital within the hour and circle around the city until called. It was registered as a commercial flight for the Czerka Corporation; a rather handy tool she continued to take advantage of since her work with them had not yet been terminated. She hadn't exactly given them any knowledge of her recent job switch.

While sitting in wait, she would focus herself with the Force. The Dark side was new to her. Predominantly she had used the Lighter aspects of the Force to get herself by, but now that she had joined the Brotherhood she finally let in that Darkness. All her life the Dark side spoke to her, inviting her into its web. Yet, her father who had been raised a Jedi taught her to rebel against those taunts. The Dark side, and the Sith alike were slaves to their emotions and this is why they would lose. That was then. Now Clara saw the truth. The Jedi, like the people on Zeltros, had become so lost in their bliss and apathy that they were already dead.

"Time to move out."

Clara stood and stretched her legs which had begun to fall asleep from sitting so long. The Force flowed through her blood and gave her the strength she would need. Her passion would free her and the strength that came would bring victory to their goals. She grabbed the sack of grenades she was charged with and lept after Kalii. They calmly walked into the hospital entrance and up the stairs.

Clara watched carefully, watching out for exits and also hidden corners. Although the Sith had given their warning, Zeltros would not expect them. Sure the Republic might have taken counter measures should something come of the Sith threat, but it would not come in time. She walked up three flights and then left her brethren. Structurally the building only needed to be hit on two fronts, but three would make it easier.

Into the hallway she walked. She could sense the lives of the patrons around her, resting easily in their beds. Well...maybe not easily. They were sick after all. But Clara would end their pain. It was her gift to them. Her sword strapped calmly to her hip, her right hand holding the bag slung over her shoulder, no one saw her coming. The hall she'd chosen was quiet and calm. How boring.

She made her way to the nurses station, her first sign of movement. The older nurse was quite surprised to see the dark haired, blue eyed warrior in her white and blue power suit. It wasn't everyday that someone came up wearing body armor. Without a word Clara lifted the bag up and around the counter so it dropped among the woman's work area. She had since opened it by the top so everyone could now see the several grenades, eight or nine or so, all lit up and active inside. Clara knew her partners would soon be getting into their own positions and the bombs would go off.

"Oh god," the woman said in disbelief as she stared down the makeshift bomb practically in her lap. The others were in a panic, but yet too frightened to comprehend what was going on.

"You have five minutes before my partner flips the switch," she would say in her thick core accent which sounded slightly robotic behind the helmet. "I would start running."

It wasn't a warning. It was a threat. Clara wanted to watch them run. She wanted to see them scream. She wanted to watch them abandon their posts and leave the patients blissfully asleep in their beds to die. And that's exactly what happened.

They scattered like bugs. Clara reached around her stomach and pulled her sword out from the sheathe, a ringing sound like a soft bell chimed as she skid it out. The nurses and doctors screamed and ran for the elevators on the other side of the building. Several patrons came out from their rooms to see what the commotion was. An old man hobbled out from his low lit room into Clara's path. Her sword flashed across his back and blood painted the ceiling and the wall to her right. He dropped to the ground and she didn't even break her gait.

As her companion moved up the stairs, Kalii moved down the hallway, stopping at a support pillar. Slinging the backpack onto the ground, she grabbed a permacrete detonator out of it. With a few quick button presses, she activated the explosive device, slaved it to the detonator at her belt, which would also slave it to its twin carried by another of her accomplices, and locked out the device in order to prevent a manual deactivation. Slapping two adhesive strips to the back of it, she attached it to the bottom of the support pillar on the left side, facing the doorway she had come through. If anyone came in from the main hospital doorway, the explosive charge wouldn't be readily visable. As she did this, she kept her senses alert, feeling for threats through the force and listening for the sounds of approach. Should anyone try to sneak up on her, she would not be caught unaware. Charge planted, Kalii grabbed the pack and slung it back onto her pack. Moving back to the stairwell, she ascended one flight of stairs quickly. Reaching the landing door, she pushed it open slightly with her left hand, right hand holding her Nova 67 carbine at the ready.

Peeking out of the doorway, she saw a pair of nurses chatting idly near a holopanel. Just then, she heard screams travelling through the corridors and an emergency alarm started blaring. Simultaneously another one of the detonators on her belt blinked to life, and she knew its twin would also be doing the same. Looks like that's it for surprise. She thought to herself as she burst through the doorway, carbine to her shoulder. Two quick squeezes of the trigger. Two pale yellow blaster bolts screeched across the short distance. Two nurses dead, the heavy kinetic impact of the blaster bolts sending them flying a few meters down the hallway. Without a second thought she rushed past the bodies, moving swiftly down the hallway. As she moved, she was keenly aware of her surroundings. Each doorway and corridor could hold a possible assailant. Her senses in the force sung to her, informing her of the lifeforms that were nearby. The sick and the dying. The panicked hospital employees, forced to decide between their own lives and the lives of their patients. Up ahead she saw her next target, another load bearing column.

"Lockdown Zeltros Airspace. No shuttles or ships are to lift off and all ships are to set down at the starports immediately. Any ships that attempt to lift off are to be warned once. Non-compliance is to be met with them being neutralised by whatever means necessary. I want Aurek Starfighters in the air ASAP. Only ships with issued codes will not be shot down as per standard protocol." Micah ordered as his troop transport landed in the hospital grounds. It was a large non-descript shuttle where he and two other soldiers disembarked at the side of the Hospital. He and a few of his LTs had come to the descision that if the Sith were to enact their terror attack, they'd hit one such location for sheer shock value. Micah had come in with his normal kit, with added Ion grenades and just in case if he encountered bombs, six ion pulse charges designed to neutralise an explosive device's electronics. Without them they're just paperweights. Micah himself could feel to some degree how the place felt, there was tension in the air and it was palpable enough to be cut through with a knife.

They were only about two minutes behind the ladies/gents whom had entered in (Just for time reference). He and his two escorts walked on in as the shuttle took off around to the emergency entrance to dispense the rest of the commandos brought along. Micah bore his hood up with the mask and headgear on to protect his rather enhanced senses of smell and taste from the rather intense pheromones with his mind hardened from the limited but still strong Empathic emotions projected from the billions of Zeltros that lived on this world. "Hunter Team secure the Emergency ward. Recon Team, sweep the building. Floor by Floor. Any explosives found, disarm them." He ordered over the encrypted communications. All the while walking rather quickly to the maintenance entrance, avoiding panic through the main entrance. Walking along amd around, checking along the main support pillars he paused at the sight of what looked like a device on the base of the pillar. He smiled beneath the mask at the permacrete detonator, a simple device requiring significant demolitions knowledge to use but sporting a nasty, nasty attitude about them. Carefully Micah knelt down and motioned for his soldiers to fan out, one of which to watch his six whilst the other watched the corridor ahead. Micah checked it for anti-tampering mechanisms, finding none he set an Ionic pulse device against the device and backed up. The unit wound up and discharged the pulse into the device rendering its electronics useless. "Alright, they're targeting support Pillars. Take this device and dispose of it." One of his escort nodded and carefully went to retrieve the device and leave. "You, lets go up." As they headed for the stairs, blaster fire echoed from three floors higher. Ears flicking he and his compatriot raced up the stairs with the Carbine in hand. Subtly was out the window now as they burst through the door to the third floor!

(Micah ninja'd me and I don't feel like rewriting, so let's just say Jubei showed up to the hospital just after Micah and his troops went inside)
Yesterday:
"Welcome to the hell you've created, Jedi. Republic, listen well, we will burn one world a week until the Republic yields the Jedi to us. Today, it is Saleucami, tomorrow it will be Zeltros, then Onderon, then Hapes, then Kashyyyk. We will not cease. You annihilated our temple, murdered our young, innocent students, and eternally separated families. Shall we not show you the same courtesy?"

He swayed forward onto his elbows, glowering at the holoscreen behind the bartender. "Aaww kriff, Zeltros is next? But they got the best nude beaches!" He blurted, not expecting the piss drunk Nautolan at his side to burst into laughter. "You got dat right!" And raised his frothy mug in cheers. "To da nude beaches!" Erupting the other inebriated patrons in more cheers. Jubei kept his eyes on the news, slowly shaking his head at the situation. The Brotherhood, along with the Sacred Band, have been pushing Republic boarders and the Alliance seems to have proven largely ineffectual while the Jedi...well, who cares. The live feed soon cut out and he suddenly found himself feeling disgusted with his surroundings. He paid what was owed for his drinks and was out the door as fast as his feet would take him.

The evening breeze was crisp and refreshing, an otherwise relaxing ambiance brought sour by the disgust that still gripped him. Curious, he'd left the Jedi Order nearly seven years ago and never once regretted it, though now, after having witnessed the atrocities performed live for a hundred thousand worlds to see, he cursed himself for not being on the front lines. The source of his disgust lay within himself. But why? Since leaving he's cared little for the woes of the masses and even less about the war, so why now?

On the walk home he reflected on his emotions, intoxication made introspection somewhat difficult as his mind kept drifting. Regardless, a decision was made even without admitting that he just wanted to feel useful again, to have purpose again. He'll go to Zeltros because 'evil wins when good men do nothing', he'd convinced himself.

Today:
Zeltros City was far larger than he expected, with far more people than expected, didn't they see the broadcast? The heavy presence of law enforcement personnel didn't seem to phase the locals or the tourists, Jubei figured it was because of the pheromones. The pheromones, was he being effected by it right now? How could one tell? No matter, his resolve was crystal clear. Being that he was not affiliated with any group, he highly doubted the authorities would accept his help in any capacity nor share any information especially when on alert for suspicious peoples as they might think him one of them for obvious reasons; a shady-looking outsider armed to the teeth. He had no way to monitor comm chatter and he'd seen no sign of Boarder Alliance or Republic officials, no surprise the Jedi where nowhere to be seen. There was nothing and no one to help him, but there was one thing he could rely on to guide him: the Force.

Hours passed walking the main streets of Zeltros City, up and down avenues, boulevards, alleyways and everything in between. Towards the downtown district he crossed a hospital, it wasn't unusual to sense sadness or dread or trepidation or even loss of life from a place housing the sick and dying. What is unusual was fear, panic and pure hysteria. Something was happening here and it wasn't normal.

The alarms began to ring as he approached the main entrance, passed by screaming nurses and hobbled patients receiving no help from said nurses. In a matter of seconds people started pouring out of the main entrance, even trampling those who couldn't move fast enough. Chaos. There was no way he'd get inside through this deluge of bodies clamoring for sanctuary, so he rounded the building to find a maintenance door or emergency exit or at the very least an open window somewhere. As he searched for a way inside he found a black repulsor van that seemed very much out of place, so much so that it, in light of the chaos, warranted investigation.

He could sense the high amount of electrical circuitry within the van, buzzing like a hornet's nest. Surveillance? Possibly a mobile data core? Un-localized servers maybe? Familiarity with high technology wasn't so strong that he could differentiate such things, but he knew no hospital employed any of them, so why was it here? The answer was obvious.

Almost exactly 15 seconds later the van was sliced to ribbons by a very angry lightsaber. Whoever was in the hospital causing havoc would find, sooner or later, their escape plan foiled, or so he would assume. Jubei kept a proximity to the maintenance door close by, helping those he could, waiting to cut low the despicable cowards who would terrorize a hospital in the name of war.

The city did not seem on edge or worried at all. The very air they breathed took away people's fear. Jake though could not enjoy that. His rather small face mask filterd the air. But he was not here for fun. The Republic transport landed and unloaded. When the recon team was orderd to sweep bottom too top Jake nodded "on it sir" before peeling off with one of the recon teams.

Where others had technology Jake had some thing more. The Force so when he felt something in his gut he trusted it. Turning to the Sgt with him "carry on with the sweep i am going on ahead."

Running ahead he was farther guided by screams of fear that lead Jake straight to the nurses station. There was no need for the force. The women had just cut some one down with a sword. Reaching out Jake pulled her back towards her as he drew his blade. "Surrender terrorist"

Courier work was not Ben's favorite task in the galaxy. Still, the extra credits would go a long way to paying for his own freighter, and he did owe the captain who hired him a favor. The hospital was a large complex, stretching from the seedy underside of Zeltros' capital all the way up stars. It was a quiet refuge in a sea of noise and vice, and Ben entered carrying a sealed plasteel container under his right arm, and a datapad in his left hand. The weight wasn't unbearable, but the trek from the starport to the hospital had left a sheen of sweet upon Ben's brow.

The security guard on the first floor payed Ben no heed, and Ben made his way to the turbolift. As he entered, he took a moment to look over the shipping manifest.

"Dr. Telo Brunjiik, top floor." He mumbled to himself as he pressed the corresponding buttons. In the blink of an eye, the turbolift had reached the top floor of the hospital. If the street that the hospital resided on was quiet, than the administrative offices on the top floor were unbearably silent. Doctors sat quietly in their offices, doors sealed, contemplating over medical journals or speaking with colleagues. Ben spotted a placard next to an open door at the end of the hallway that read: Dr. Telo Brunjiik, Virologist. Ben, waiting no time to be rid of whatever package he had been sent to deliver, briskly walked to the office.

The older Mon Calamari sitting at the desk looked up to see a gruff courier holding his expected package. The reg pigment in his skin had begun to turn gray, and he trembled slightly as he placed his spectacles down on the table.

"Ah you must be the courier." Said Dr. Brejiik, "Captain Reho told me to expect my package today. Wonderful."

Ben placed the box down upon the wooden desk and handed the datapad to the doctor. As Dr Brejiik looked over the shipping manifest, Ben couldn't help but wonder what was inside that box.

"What exactly was in that box?" Ben asked, "And should I take a chemical shower after handling it?"

Dr Brejiik chuckled, "Heavens no. The samples in that box are double sealed and have been rendered dormant. You're quite alright young man." He then signed the datapad and handed it back to Ben. As Ben inspected the information, a rumble came from the floors below them, and the lights flickered in the doctor's office. A few moments passed before the security alarms began to wail, Ben instinctively drew his blaster.

"Young man", the doctor said with a troubled look on his face, "That alert means there's been an attack on the hospital." He stood up and shoved the box back into Ben's hands, "It is imperative that you get this sample out of here before somebody gets their hands on it!"

Ben shook his head, "Sorry doc, I'm a spacer, not a hazardous material handler."

"You don't have a choice in the matter." Dr. Brejiik flashed a stern look back at Ben, "If you sit up here with me, whatever brigands attacked this hospital will find us. We'll both be dead, and you'll be responsible for a plague of unbelievable proportions."

Ben shook his head as the weight of responsibility settled squarely on his shoulders, "And where exactly should I take whatever abomination that you just signed to receive?"

The Doctor reached into his pocket and pulled out a security card, "Take my ID. It'll get you into the material processing room in the basement. There's an incinerator in there."

Ben nodded, "You can come with me if you want, I'll watch your back."

"I'm afraid not," The Doctor sighed, "I have to wipe all the data on my research before somebody finds it." He sat back down at his desk and began pulling data disks out of the drawers. "Now go, and may the force be with you."

Ben stepped back into the turbolift, as it made its descent, the power failed and stopped on the third floor. After prying the doors open, he stepped out to find a scene of carnage. Several patients had been cut down, and they now laid strewn across the floor in pools of blood. In the distance, Ben heard shouting towards the direction of the staircase. Gripping his pistol, he snuck through the corridors towards the shouting, praying under his breath that he would not be seen.

Shae had been the only one that hadn’t entered the hospital yet. She had the means to detonate some of the bombs, but knew it wasn’t safe until her comrades were out. She had been by the exit, guarding it for the two she had arrived with. Unfortunately, the alarms began to blare and she knew it would only be a matter of time before there was chaos.

Shae was fully geared, helmet included. She also had an assortment of grenades, two sabers and everything else she carried to battle usually. As soon as she sensed others approaching, she quickly commed Kalii and Clara. She had been hiding behind a dumpster near the exit, masking her presence.

“Get out get out! We have company!”

She began to scatter away from the building. Before she could process what happened, there was an explosion that reverberated from within the building. As Micah sent an ion pulse towards the detonator, the effects were the exact opposite of what he intended. The pulse caused all the electronics to overload and hiss. The bomb exploded at once, bursting out and instantly obliterating Micah and any others within the bomb’s immediate radius. The building trembled from the explosion, the blast radius the size of a small room. The floors began to collapse and cave.

Shae had no idea what happened, as she hadn’t set the detonators off. She turned the corner in time to spot someone slicing and dicing away at their van. Shae took the opportunity to quickly draw her blaster and fire three shots in the direction of the man that was preoccupied with his inanimate enemy. She was wholly aware of her surroundings to ensure she wasn't taken by surprise. As a result, her aim wouldn't exactly be perfect but aimed towards his general torso.

As Clara headed down the hallway from the nurses' station she was suddenly grabbed by the Force; someone was trying to pull her. Clara shifted her weight on her foot and held her ground before looking over her shoulder at the person who tried to get her attention. A republic soldier who didn't look the type to be Force sensitive had run into the hallway and stopped just shy of where the bombs where. Clara shifted her glance toward the station where her bombs waited patiently and then back to the man.

"Surrender terrorist"

"Yeah, I think not."

She would begin to take a step back when she heard her commlink shout in her ear, Get out get out! We have company!

"Little late for that," she thought to herself, but was cut short when the bombs blew beneath her.

The floor shook and for a second she was taken off balance. She quickly reached for her own detonator and began to run away from her own bombs. A moment later she flipped the switch and felt the blast go off behind her. Her boosters gave her a quick jolt and she was up and running while the building crumbled and shook around her. She didn't have time to think about her companions, for over thinking what had happened would only be a distraction. She needed to leave.

The hallway would go on forever, so Clara tried a different tactic. She only had moments to spare anyways. Not wasting any time to see what happened to the soldier who likely got hit by the blast full on, she would turn abruptly to her left into an open room and then charged for the window. Using the Force she sent a quick pulse at the glass to shatter it before jumping out herself. Her boosters would slow her descent slightly; the Force would pick up the rest. Landing in a roll she was back on her feet and scurrying away from the hospital as it fell. Once she was clear she returned her sword to her belt and continued to vanish into the chaos. She would all but bury her Force presence so no one would find or follow her which allowed her to slip into the crowds of people and away from everything. Not knowing where her comrades were, she would head to one of the near rendezvous locations until she received new orders. Was the mission scrubbed? Were they supposed to still go after the next two targets? Clara didn't know. One step at a time....

Reaching the next load bearing column, Kalii worked quickly. Kneeling down and pulling another permacrete detonator from her backpack, she attached it to the column, armed and locked it before linking it to the remote detonator. A second light lit up on the detonator confirming the link. Spotting a gurney stashed against a wall, she quickly rose and grabbed it, rolling it to sit in front of the permacrete detonator, effectively blocking it from view. Explosive set, she continued her path, jogging down the long corridor, carbine at the ready. Taking a sharp left, she began working her way around the back of the hospital when her comlink beeped.

"Copy that, just a few more charges to place."
Speaking into her comlink as she jogged, Kalii knew she needed to work faster. She began to pick up her pace when she felt a rumble work its way through the building. Fear sparked in her mind for a second as she looked down at the detonator on her belt. The first light had gone out, but the second remained a steady red. Breathing a sigh of relief, she knew one detonator wouldn't be enough to take down the whole building. Continuing her run, she arrived at the third column. Kneeling down once again she repeated the process that was becoming very familiar. Set. Arm. Lock. Link. Move on.

Of course, as she stood to continue her run around the hospital one of the detonators on her belt beeped a steady tone. Throwing up her hands in an instinctive but utterly useless defensive gesture, she fully expected the charge she had just armed to blow up in her face. A larger rumble shook the building, this time coming from upstairs, where Clara had went. Realizing she was still alive, Kalii breathed yet another sigh of relief as she continued on, activating her comlink as she ran.

"Report in. Whats going on up there?" The building creaked in distress. One more charge. Just one more. Reaching the stairwell on the other side of the building, Kalii knew the last necessary support column would be close. Spying it down the hallway near a window, she rushed over. Grabbing another charge out of her bag, which was beginning to feel a bit lighter, she set the charge, armed, locked and linked it to the remote detonator. A third red tone lit up on the detonator. Turning to the window, she raised her carbine and fired three times. "Charges set. Lets get out of here and blow this joint." She shouted into her comlink as she ran over to the window and leaped forward, activating the mobility enhancers in her boots. With a silent hiss the thrusters gave her an extra boost in her jump, allowing her to jump farther. As she descended, she directed her feet towards the ground, and the thrusters slowed her descent enough for her to land safely, bending at the knees to absorb the shock. Moving with haste, she made her way away from the building and into the protection of a nearby alley. Grabbing the detonator off of her belt, she flicked off the safety cover and hovering her thumb over the detonation switch. "Charges ready to blow in 5... 4... 3... "

Having stepped back quite a bit and close to the maintenance stairwell when the ion charge went off. Everyone makes mistakes and this one was a simple one that would have disastrous consequences for the man and the hospital that was starting to evacuate. It was that split second moment where one of his entourage crossed the front between him and the bomb that all hell broke loose. First came a flash, a searingly bright light caused by the microbeads of explosives within the rather powerful permacrete detonator which was then followed by the blast wave and explosive force that came next. Shattering permacrete, durasteel reinforcement and eventually bodies. As both were caught in the blast wave sending Micah and the now torn apart Guard that was with Micah were blown rather violently through the door, the large furballs back impacting through the thick door and then through the window in the stairwell.

The armour he wore took the brunt of the blast, crumpling, bending and warping with chunks of shrapnel impacting it here and there. The force of impact on its own going through two different layers and receiving a nasty blast from the bomb even with what could be considered wet sponge of a shield left the man unconscious with a variety of broken bones and various other more.. unpleasant forms of damage littering his body. Rendering him and Mc-Corpse soldier there, effectively out of it until medical treatment has been found.

((Thats me! Hope its good :D)

The building shook and for a mount Jake lost his grip but he quickly responded by chasing after the female, but Jake figured they where here to bomb the place. The Bag was in the open really and the bombs could be seen. Picking up and throwing the bag out the window behind him Jake used the force to send a massive force push that sent the bag clear out the window along with shattering the glass. The Blast it self was effected by the push as it explosive force moved away from the building.

With that dealt with Jake turned went after the women. Though she had a head start her use of the force meant that he could track her in other ways. Simply Jumping clear he used the force to slow his fall as he ran after the women.

The entire building rumbled and quaked, flinging chunks of concrete and shards of glass into the streets and alleyways below. In the precious seconds before the debris would crash onto the ground, Jubei hastily summoned the Force to his command to shield those fleeing from the building. Efforts were cut short when a blaster bolt grazed his shoulder, a second caught him in the upper right arm as he attempted to then shield his vital organs, a third hit his right forearm still trying to protect his torso. The shots left him reeling as he fell uncontrolled to the ground, unaware if there were more bolts coming his way he ducked behind the black van and saw the failure of his deeds: four more people now lay dead in the alley, crushed by concrete and flayed by glass. "Kriff.."

The Enviro-armor underlayment he wore did it's job and dissipated the bolt's energy, regardless that his right arm was virtually useless now. The mask of the armor was pulled from his collar up over his nose and mouth, then activated it's aerosol stimulants to dull the pain and amp his muscles to avoid the shock. He didn't know if whomever took those shots was still gunning for him, so as he wrestled control of his body once again, the Force coalesced within him, focusing and concentrating the mystical energies for whatever might happen next.

Shae’s bolts went off right as the man she shot at stopped trying to cut down their vehicle. He focused his energy on shielding others, which was an admirable effort. He took a few blows to the arm, making him attempt to duck for cover. Before he could move, Shae summoned the Force to her hand. Without warning, a massive blast of the Force would burst towards the man, bodily flinging him far out of her path.

The former Jedi had no desire to pursue the man, but if he continued to be a pest with a useless arm, she wouldn’t hesitate to cut him down. Though she applied the Force, her skills lied with the saber.

Shae watched to make sure he had been flung out of the way before hastily running to a vehicle that was most definitely NOT the one they arrived in. Shae revved it up, hoping that her comrades could catch up in time. She half expected one of them to land on the roof of the vehicle as she made her getaway.

“IF YOU’RE NOT ON THIS SPEEDER IN 10 SECONDS, I’M LEAVING YOUR ASS BEHIND!”

With that, the speeder buzzed to life. She slammed on the acceleration to make an instant getaway. Their mission had been completed, and there was no reason to further linger.

As blaster bolts began to fly and bombs began to shake the hospital, Ben felt insecure about his position. Figuring that whatever was in this accursed box would be destroyed in the hospital's collapse, he tossed it and made his escape from the hospital, leaving the assault to continue.

"2... 1..." Her countdown complete, Kalii pressed her thumb down on the button. The charges inside the hospital exploded simultaneously, decimating the support pillars and the surrounding load bearing walls. She would have preferred to place more charges, in order to cause the building to come down in an instant, but the charges she had placed would do the job just fine. The hospital creaked and groaned under the stress, before the remaining supporting structure gave way under the weight. Screams echoed through the building as it began its descent, the upper levels plummeting slowly to the ground, crushing everything underneath. Just as the building began its descent, Kalii spotted Shae, driving a different vehicle than the one they had come in, a flashy speeder with a sun roof.

Gathering the force to her, she ran forward and leaped into the air. Her jump was perfectly timed and she landed on top of the speeder, crawling through the sunroof and depositing her backpack on the seat floor in front of her. Looking over at Shae, she glanced to the back of the speeder before looking back again. "Where's the third?"

Clara groaned as her earpiece screamed in her head. Well looks like she was about to get left behind. She looked around and tried to judge her position. She'd already left the hospital behind and had fled into the crowds. Should she go back and risk getting caught in another battle? Or should she risk trying to find her own escape route? Maybe it would be best to return to the others. Turning around she would figure which direction was best and which one they were most likely to drive past.

"Where's the third?" she would hear in her commlink again.

This time Clara would respond, "I'm West of your position. Pick me up over by second street."
