Hey guys, name’s Kevin and I’m currently wrapping up my first character write up in quite a while. Basic run down though, he’s a failed Jedi Padawan (maybe Knight?) in search for his mentor and Jedi Master which left the Order on a self-imposed exile. He doesn’t know why, and he can’t find closure in his role as a Jedi without knowing why.

Anyway, I’m hoping to make some new writer buddy friends, of any level, to write some fun adventures with. The entire purpose of my character’s storyline is to travel the unknown parts of the Galaxy, exploring ancient ruins and points of interest of the Force in search of his Master - and kick some ass on the way there. And maybe find out a bit about himself - he is a Jedi after all. I’m trying to basically create a IC/OOC Crew of writers to help expand on that story and add a whole bunch of stuff I can’t even imagine just yet and hopefully help his friends achieve their own goals too, whatever they may be. I need people with passion for group writing and a (for the most part) enthusiastic disposition - people willing to actually work and write something cohesive for each other’s character.

I have some ideas once I actually find that Master (which I’ll write up eventually), though ideally that’s pretty far off from now. I’d like to have at least four or five dedicated writers, but I’ll take any that are willing to from any faction - large or small, so long as we can make sense of them all meeting and traveling with each other - as well as them splitting up if the time comes for it. They’re going to become travel buddies, after all! Again, I want to brainstorm with others to get our characters into interesting and fun sets of stories that revolve around each other - not really focusing on the overarching narrative on the site - though we can tackle the forum’s storyline if story leads us that way. For the most part though, our characters are going to be living in their own little bubble, moving from planet to planet. I was even thinking of making it an official “crew” aboard a single ship, a la Rebels.

We wouldn’t have to be with one another in every set of threads, though we’d have to coordinate with each other to create a cohesive story with one another while we move. For example, maybe our characters are on Nar Shaddaa but some of us go to the Lower District to free some slaves, while another one of us takes the ship to work for a couple of Hutt Cartel members and a Sith, and another one of us is simply messing around at some (OPEN THREAD) bar. Or we go explore a planet, and I go to some ancient ruins, while the rest of you guys have a fun day at the beach which ends in you guys being attacked by a crazy killer octopus and get split up. Then we could focus on trying to find one another. Stuff like that, y’know. So long as all of our characters move as one, and help create our own little story within our crew.

And I’m also not just looking for a crew of friendly writers, I’m looking for serious antagonists and enemies for these characters too - so if you want to get a chance to kick some goodie-two-shoes’ ass, repeatedly, I’m more than excited to write some elaborate fights with you too. In other words, I need a cast of writers and a cast of characters to create something fun with one another.

Anyway, I got ideas for days and I could go on and on talking about them, so I hope some of you guys are willing to give some input on them with ideas of your own - and I look forward to writing with you guys!

This seems like a lot of fun, though might be slightly restricting of yourselves on the planet travel bit. I'm not sure which side I lean to really.

Grug is a bit of an odd Jedi. Might be able to help, or be an antagonist to a failed Jedi.

Nayeli
is... maybe a bit too terrifying for a crew starting up. She'd be a good villain for sure.

Hi. It's a very curious concept you have there. My only character happens to be a freelance/Free-Traders-Guild-aligned smuggler with a freighter which he plans to upgrade to this one. It has room for 4 people in total. If my timezone (GMT +4) is on no concern, I think we could work something out.

A good adventure always has detours and side stories - restrictive isn’t the right way of looking at it - I see it as unselfishly focused. But I see what you mean about it possibly being restricting though. That’s why dedicated is the key word here, ;D it’s just that in my experience it’s hard to find people to write with in general, so it’s easier if I could create a consistent group of writers that will dedicate their writing time with one another rather than hunting others down for different unconnected stories. It’s a communal thing I guess.

Ideally we should stick together on our ship at least 70% of the time, with the other 30% we should at least know where each other is. If that makes sense. The idea is to be close knit and informed of one another’s actions to make a cohesive and interwoven story. I mean of course we can split up, just gotta make sense of it for the crew’s story, get me? That being said I’d love to have Grug beat some sense into me if I stray from the Jedi code, I’d love to have a Gamor in the crew - the dynamic would be good! Or maybe just periodically checking in on me if that seems more liberating for your character? That also seems good to me too - at some point maybe even our goals would clash with one another and we separate. Something like that.

Nayeli though, she could definitely kick our ass any day! Togrutas are tough and scary when they need to be. I love that idea.

DUDE! Nolan would be the perfect ship captain for the crew - funding secured! Color me interested, I don’t mind the time zone difference (I live in central US), I’m usually up at all times anyway so it’s not a problem at all, for me anyway.

Honestly I didn’t expect anyone to read this, never mind be insterested so I’m really happy you guys even responded.

Honestly Grug is an odd case and might not be the best fit. He travels around with a Hutt Jedi. Does a lot of Sith disruption. Would maybe cross paths but not be on a crew without his Hutt friend.

I have wanted to give Nayeli some rivals, constant enemies she has to fight off or she chases after them for some reason or another.

I think most villains should be that way! Hunting down prey is sign of the strong. Well Heck yeah, I’d love to have you hunt us down, with either characters, that actually sounds fun as Hell. :P once I get the group in order I’ll give you a ring - maybe save Nayeli for when I get my character some experience.

I can send Kara Quicksilver as a sort of Jedi antagonist. If your Jedi left the Order, then maybe she thinks that he went over to the Exiles, and now she's trying to bring him back to "face justice" if that's alright with you.
