Reron's eyes averted Kyle's gaze as the young Padawan shifted from foot to foot with obvious discomfort. All of a sudden he had become the centre of attention, and the young Jedi was obviously not comfortable with that. Reron had never been one to open up tojust anyone, and his initial perception of Jedi Master Kyle Stellar were less than admirable, as the Jedi Councillor had only shown interest in Reron once he had done something interesting. No, this one...he's not interested in me, only in my power, Reron thought, studying the ground a little closer. Finally, he muttered something, barely audible to Stellar, though the phrase was drenched entirely in typical Chandrilan bluntness, despite the timid delivery.

'I...put one foot in front of the other, then did it again. And again. That is how one walks, Master.'

Then, without further ado, and no apparent perception of any type of irritation on the Councillor's behalf, Reron walked over to a nearby panel of writing, his eyes flaring once more as he studied the glyphs, the blood vessels clearly visible around his eyes as the Padawan exerted more power in an attempt to decipher the various symbols and images.

Tyrn, on the other hand, showed no such interest in the wall markings. Either he was entrusting Reron to figuring them out or recording them, or he simply didn't deem them worth his time. In any case, the Jedi Master headed further into the catacombs, into the dark ahead of the main chamber. There were more important locatiosn within this tomb than an entrance hall covered with runes.

"It's alright if you don't want to tell me Reron, but believe me...it's kinda weird seeing what your Master and what you've done as well. I'm just dumbfounded at these concepts that both of you have thrown at me to expect me to believe such abilities can be done through these simple concepts. There has to be more to it than just walking to pass through a wall, or blasting a rock into pieces through warming it up. "

*Kyle started to walk as his eyes quickly scanned the rocks, taking more pictures with his mind to memorize these hieroglyphs for studying and revelations to what lay in this tomb. If Kyle ever had time, he would come back to search these caves for information to learn about the universe. He started to follow Tyrn at the same time, looking at the boy quickly as he analyzed the situation.

Tyrn had burned hands and was tired from the powers that he used. Reron on the other hand looked well and dandy but a bit scared and awkward from all the questions Kyle was asking. And as for Kyle, he was in the 'confused' moment, although this moment was lasting a whole lot longer than he would expect. For the time being, he would just have to accept things the way they were, and figure out what this cave represented.

Picking up a fragment of rock that had broken off the wall, Kyle's psychometric powers gave him visions of the time the tomb was built, and who built it. It was astounding what the creators of the tomb did...using science and the Force to create traps of immense power and most importantly...who was buried inside. The builders called him Brutalidon. Who he was, Kyle did not know...and he didn't want Tyrn to know that he knew who was here. It seemed as though Tyrn already knew where he was going...like a past life was guiding him to this person. So...what was Tyrn and Reron here for?*

"Your thoughts bellow louder than a Rancor, Master Stellar," Reron murmured, though he said no more. Instead, he closed his eyes, as the light burning within was stifled out. At the same time, the young Padawan learner pulled out a small rag of cloth and bound it over his eyes before opening them again. Even through the rough thick fabric, a small glimmer of light still surfaced. Tyrn caught on immediately - Reron was preventing his eyes from seeing percieved reality - if there were any illusions around, the trio would go headfirst into them without knowing otherwise. And the Mancers of old did not build only traps that harmed the body, no...traps of the mind were common, indeed.

Almost immediately, Reron stopped and looked to his left after placing the blindfold on.raising his hand and muttering something, a segment of wallseemingly drained away into an imaginary plughole, revealing a new path. For the faintest moment, one could almost see the padawan smile. But then, it was gone just as quickly. Tyrn then grinned broadly, gesturing to the new path.

"Looks like my quiet Padawan is proving to be more useful than the both of us, eh Kyle?" Tyrn grinned, turning to his Master. For a brief moment, however, Tyrn's appearance, in the low light of the tomb, was not of his own. In the dancing blue, Tyrn looked...older, but...cleaner. Pure. And wise beyond his years. But then, like Reron's smile, such shadows vanished. Perhaps the tomb was playing with the mind and eyes of all three Jedi, or perhaps it was merely showing what was there to begin with - one could not be entirely sure.

"Sure is. I feel like a kid on a new space adventure after 10 years."

*Kyle mimicked Reron by closing his eyes, although he couldn't cover his eyes with cloth. There simply wasn't one for him. Kyle wasn't the sorta guy who brought a cloth with him for his eyes. Maybe for a Padawan Learner would for training, and kept one on him or her for it, but not Kyle. Closing his eyes would just do for now.

As if the wall had melted away, Kyle could immediately sense vibrations from his feet as a new path showed itself...and Kyle couldn't even tell it was there. Using the vibrations of the Force through his feet made life easier for him for some time now, but that was strange. Kyle would have felt the path on the other side of the wall, but he didn't. Such powerful traps set by Brutalidon...but Reron was going through this like pie. Even Tyrn was...but Kyle hadn't done anything at all.

Even with Force Sight, it was quite difficult to tell what was going on. The Force Particles filled the entire cave to the brim, and he could see just about everything...but even then, it wouldn't help him do what Reron could do. Kyle wanted to help, but it seemed like Reron or Tyrn would be the only one to help out. It was fine, but somehow, Kyle felt as though he was being left out of the bigger picture.

It seemed as though both these men had been here before...and even before Kyle had closed his eyes, Tyrn and Reron had looked aged...but strong and wise. Was it the light playing tricks on his mind, or had they been there before? Or was the Force guiding them? Such questions had to be answered along the way, and Kyle definitely wanted to keep going. He started to walk forward, as Reron led the way, and Tyrn just watched as his Padawan guided them through this tomb.*

The walls on either side of the group seemed to stretch on for an eternity, though there was an intersection ahead. Ten kilometres ahead. Each branch from the intersection led to another intersection, which led to another, and another, and so forth. The maze in itself was so complex that it would have taken years, decades to construct.

Splitting up may seem like an ideal thing to do once they realized how many intersections there were, but that would lead to one if not all of their deaths. They would also soon realize that two right turns in a row would lead to a dead end.

This was truely a test for the mind.

Reron and Tyrn simultaneously scratched their heads. They were at a fork in the road, so to speak, and no street signs pointed the right direction. Tyrn wanted to ask Reron to try and see a way through the maze, but the young padawan's eyes remained blindfolded, and the light beneath was incredibly dim , only barely visible beneath the rag - Reron had hit a wall, and was barely able to continue walking.

Tyrn, however was proud of the young one - for such inexperience, such lack of formal training in the Hidden Art, Tyrn could simply tell Reron what to do, and he could do it ninety percent of the time. Such latent affinity to the Art was completely unfamiliar to Tyrn, who had clawed and struggled to even tap into the arts in the beginning. So, the only likely situation would be to either split up and die, or stay together and die. Either way Tyrn wan't letting Reron out of his sight - the Padawan's powers were too valuable, more valuable than the tomb itself, even.

"Tyrn, I am getting older now, but could you or your Padawan feel that draft from the left fork in the road, or was that me?"

*Kyle was having a hard time discerning how he could use the Force at this given time. This tomb was quite deadly, and it seemed that only certain beings could walk down these tunnels of despair. All Kyle could do was rely on his instincts, and experience in these sorts of situations. The best way to figure out a path was to rely on the air flow of things. Air meant a hole in the wall, and a hole in a wall meant escape, but they weren't looking for that. They were looking for something different, and Kyle could sense that. But just exactly were Tyrn and his Padawan looking for?*

ooc: haven't been on in a while. sorry for the obviously late post.
