Into the Ring
</div>

Lysander found himself on Aaris III, investigating a bounty posted by an unknown party in a cantina on Atzerri. He was confused by the frightened methods of the populace and the heavy military presence. He saw that the capital city was more like a military bunker than a hub of civilization. He tried to find suitable repair parts for the shocker function connected to his grappler cords, and was turned down by an estranged shopkeeper. He further was greeted by a little girl, only for her mother to demand her presence in the house since most of the city was apparently afraid of him.

Lysander had no idea he would soon be drawn into a struggle on the planet caused by a fool advisor to the governor's power plays. He at first stalked a Jedi who was being held hostage by the military, setting him free with the intent of gaining information. Instead, he gained a military assault as the Jedi and he were forced through the city's abandoned subway tunnels. As he and the Jedi fled, they were hounded by a legion of bloodthirsty, ravaged, genocidal citizens who ripped each-other apart as much as they wished for the death of these intruders. He learned soon that the city had turned into a bloodbath during their absence into the tunnels, the citizens going crazy because of the effects of an artifact the governor's office had discovered in the jungle. He, the Jedi, and a skittish soldier by the name of Oila put aside their differences to work together, and decided that the only course of action was to find the artifact and silence its effects on the populace.

Lysander, the Jedi, and Oila thus sneaked throughout the city as night fell to find the research facility where the artifact, and probably a legion of its victims, could be found. Lysander decided that he would sneak in through the second floor roof, while the Jedi and Oila would take the front entrance. It would be the best way since they would cover more ground quicker, and thus find the object quick enough to stop its effects from reaching beyond the city and into the desert where a refugee camp had been set up by the military . . .

After the events on Aaris, Lysander would travel to Taris. He ventured to the lower city, where he owed Garduga the Hutt a sum of money. Lysander intended to acquire information on a high-paying bounty contract so that he could pay off the Hutt with the money, but Garduga would have none of it - the Hutt instead forced Lysander into the dueling ring to face-off against a Mandalorian who had dominated it for several years. Lysander had no choice but to agree, and found himself facing a teenager who echoed the old man Lysander had faced in the bloodsport years before. The boy, 'Jugulus', was the crowd favorite, but Lysander was more experienced, more powerful, and simply the better killer. The Mandalorian was granted a warrior's death, and Lysander's beautiful performance in the match attracted the attention of a pair of spectators - the Mandalorian Corporal, Markus Dagger, and the Jedi Padawan called Jace Kyjar, the same Jedi Lysander found himself fighting alongside during the Aaris Incident.

Jace kept his distance, observing Markus and Lysander. When Lysander brought Dagger to the residential apartments on the other side of the lower city for the Mandalorian to discuss what he'd come to, Jace cut their meeting short rather quickly. Then, Jace was interrupted by a Sith Knight, and that Sith was, in turn, interrupted by another Jedi Padawan. For a while, the trinity of Force adepts just stood there with their lightsaber hilts toward each-other's heads, but eventually the Sith knocked the Padawan behind him out of the way with a brutal kick, and he and Jace did battle. Jace concentrated on his defense, but he was not prepared for the Knight's unorthodox fighting tactics. Eventually, a fatal mistake was made on the Sith's part - he unleashed a torrent of lightning that was intended for Jace, but Jace dodged and the lightning connected instead with Lysander. Lysander's systems absorbed the negative energy, and all systems were in 'Overdrive' status. Lysander converged upon the Sith, using tactics his father had both taught him and employed against the dark wanderer, and the Sith Knight retreated.

Lysander was there, now with only Dagger and two Jedi. Dagger and Jace spoke briefly about Lysander, before the cyber himself spoke up. Jace reasoned with Lysander, and explained that he knew about Lysander's past - and he knew that no Jedi killed Lysander's father. It was here that the illusion of betrayal and corruption would at last fall apart. Lysander was confused as Jace explained that Jedi did not have red-bladed lightsabers, for reasons Lysander had already discovered, but the other Padawan, who was now on the ground coughing up blood from his bleeding organs, suddenly spoke up and said that the Jedi or the Sith could have crimson-bladed lightsabers. This enraged Lysander, who immediately accused Jace of lying to him, and trying to cover up the Jedi's wrongdoings. Jace, however, further argued that the reports from the locals said that the dark wanderer had also employed a dark manifestation of Force Lightning upon Lysander's father, and no Jedi had that power (at least, in the way it had been employed by both the wanderer and the Sith Knight they had just faced).

The evidence was all present and irrefutable, and Lysander's opinion of the Jedi was ultimately reversed when he saw the selfless act of Jace healing his fallen friend, almost at the expense of his own life. Lysander, the darkside fighting a losing battle within him to maintain control, decided to help the Jedi. He decided in that moment that, though it may have been impossible, he would try to redeem himself. He decided that he was a fool for throwing away his beliefs so easily in the past, and he was ashamed that for so long he had forgotten the teachings of his father and accused him for being a fool in life. Lysander remembered what he had been taught, and realized what his father had taught him so long ago - Lysander's father had tried to teach him to be a true Jedi Knight, to be unrestrained by the Order's demand for no compassion when compassion was truly necessary. Lysander realized that the will of his father was for him to do good, and renounce evil and combat it wherever it was.

His father had been strong in life, and Lysander wanted him to be stronger still in death - he would embody the principles of his father. He decided that the tools he had been given - as dark in nature as they were - could still be tools of good, tools to serve justice. He claimed that he would redeem himself - and make his father proud. In that moment, the Darkside's iron grip upon him was shattered... ...and Lysander Mirala truly returned to the galaxy.

Note: Though an old character, his entire history has been revised. His appearance has newly been changed on the site I usually write on, and so it shall be reflected here as well. The choice of new appearance also allowed me to flesh out the backstory the way I did. Comments would be highly appreciated, thank you.

But yeah, still good!

I immediately suggest creating a SWF account, posting this there and nominating it for a GA.

Do it!

Unless the history is complete, it shouldn't be nominated for anything.

I haven't read the history yet, but at first glance I do have to ask this - since Grievous and Vader were cutting edge stuff, I would assume that this person is a prototype and that there would be many bugs and kinks to work out during the course of the RP, no?

Indeed, Mr. "personally I believe there should be an ending to his story".

Yes, there could be some bugs and such-as. Really the procedure was never completely finished, as he killed the 'butchers' and broke out before final testing. The injections into his body that allow regeneration can also cause hallucinations or temporary insanity. The latcher cords on each arm can also suck a lot of power from his internal systems for their 'shocking' mechanism - for instance, if he had to use all four at once to try to bring someone, or something down? He could lose a lot of his mechanically-enhanced attributes and abilities, his actions could become sluggish, and he would not be able to connect with computers or networks as fluidly. Also, his heart is half-prosthetic, which can lead to difficulties with blood-flow (thus regeneration), and can cause rushes of pain in situations of high stress or prolonged strenuous activity (He isn't going to last more than an hour unless he stops to rest).

And for now I have no interest in adapting it to SWFanon, but I may in the future. If I put anything up there, it is probably first going to be the profile for Isaac Leonhart (Lord Lion).

If this isn't one of the best profiles I've seen yet, I'm not sure what is.

Awesome profile ^-^ I really would put him on SWF sometime. Even if he's not done, you can still say he's being edited and stuff. But anyway, I think it could become a featured article there some day.

One thing up there does'nt make any sense. The guy has high fortitude and respirtory problems. Anyone with respirtory problems and its a main weakness not somethin thats minor. They would'nt be able to breathe and they'd be anaerobic. so they would'nt be taking hitsnor would they be throwing them. I'm not trin to be an asshole. I'm just sayin.
