Me story begins on shippu. Me born on shippu. Shippu big. Family live on shippu. Clan Baws be me family. We be scavengahs. We fly thru space eatin’ and sexin’. It good times. Not much to say. Me strong warrior; big hearted. Me has no luck with ladies. Pirates ah be shootsin’ us a lot. Hard times, yo. I be smartest Neepo. Me clan kinda stoopid. Me thinks that why ladies no like me. They scared o’ me mad skills. Strange things be makin’ way to shippu. Strange moving pictures with tall folk. Most tall folk me see be hairless and pink. They ugly. Neepo ladies be best. One movin' picture has big baddaboom named 'Mack.' He a real baddass. He good wit dah ladies, too. Me youngin' when me see it. When me pa ask me what me name be, me say 'Mack.' Because me is badass. One time, me met tall person. Me never see one befo’. Me rush it and jump on it. It no like that. Especially no like when me puts it in mouth. It no taste very good. Me remembahs spittin’ it out. Me got punched for me curiosity. They say Neepo stoopid. Me say yes. But, not me. Me smart. Big. Strong. Sexeh. Me have big horns and teeth. Neepo ladies ‘posed to find that hawt. Why no ladies want me? Me sad now. Why you make me sad? You mean, mean person. Oh, what that? Look shiny! Can me taste it? Nah? But, it look tasty! C’mon! Just a lil’ taste! Ungh. Fine. You mean. Me lost now. The tasties too distractin’. Oh. Ya. Me big damn hero. Every Neepo say so. One time me save Clan from tall pirates. They be shootsin’ shippu. Shippu shootsin’ back, but it hurt. It no move. Pirates appear through booms and smoke! Neepos scaredy. Me see chance to impress. Be hero. Me grabs me trusty spear an’ rush ‘em. They scaredy of me might. One so scared it laugh at me. More Baws see me bravery. They join me. Try tah steal mah glory. Me faster, tho’. Me stabby one in that no-no place. Tall person no like stabbed there. Me remembah its eyes big and teary. Me mighty warrior. Me roar in face o’ death. Me pull spear free. Me be slicin’ and dicin’ like crazy man. Pirates start tryin’ tah shoots me. Me too quick. Me float like butterfly and sting like sandworm. You know sandworms? They scary. Pirate cap’n kick me in face. It hurt. Next thing me know world go black. When I awake everything quiet. Other Neepos big damn hero. Everyone forget me. Pirates dead. We take pirate shippu. Aftahwads we hear othah Neepo going tah Quak. Me remember Quak. Good times. Lots o’ tasties. Me clan go to where Quak is. Me hope tah find lady. No luck. Ladies intimidated by awesomeness. Me clan leave Quak inspired by legends. We make plans tah go home. Me long tah see Neepopolis. |

Appearance Mack is slightly taller than most Neepo. He is nowhere close to being considered a Mok Mok, thankfully. They scare him. They’re always so big and mean to the other Neepos of his tribe. They also always get all the ladies. Mack, however, doesn’t contradict what is common for Neepo. He is short and stout. His frame is compact, yet muscular. And he is deceptively lighter than he appears. The most common traits the little guy possess is the fact that his head is slightly larger than most Neepo. His expression is generally perpetually blank except for when something interests him. Then it lights up in a flurry of personality, although that mostly leads others to believe he has a form of down syndrome. Like all Neepo, his rough, leathery skin is yellow. Although, curiously enough his complexion is a duller and darker shade. Perhaps, he is the first Neepo ever to achieve a tan? Likewise, what furthers to set him apart are his massive set of horns which he prides himself over. They tend to curve backwards to appear more akin to a ram's. His bottom canines are also larger and longer, jutting further up when his maw is closed. Mack is very fond of abjectly placing something in his mouth. Be it a finger or some random item, there is almost always hanging from his maw. Unlike most Neepo, Mack has an insatiable curiosity for other species culture and technology. This often lends itself to him dressing apart from those of his tribe. From the few beings he’s run into that weren’t Neepo he has adopted their style of dress. Which, unfortunately is never consistent, nor do the colors ever match. He was inspired early on by a holovid he saw of an action hero named Mack McCoy who was equal parts dashing spy and swashbuckling rogue. When out of contact with other cultures, Mack often slips back into emulating his hero’s style of dress. |
Distinguishing Characteristics The most distinguishable thing about Mack is that by most people’s standards he is a moron. Conversely when compared to most Neepo’s he’s wickedly smart. Its quite strange. When he is not consumed by every new thing surrounding him and his need to either touch or taste it, he lapses into an almost lethargic state where he appears blank. When this happens, it is not uncommon to see him sporting something hanging from his mouth. That something really doesn’t matter. It can be an appendage or some article of clothing or some inanimate item. Something is just almost always hanging from his maw. His curiosity also extends past the norm of Neepo. He still holds an insatiable need to taste everything, but afterwards he is driven to take it apart and examine it. He needs to discover how it works. Often times, his means of disassembling something involves just smashing it to bits. He is also obsessed with being an ‘action hero’ despite not really understanding what that means. |
Personality Mack can best be described as the lovable foil. He is genuinely kindhearted and considerate of others. He’s quick to form bonds with others whether they are Neepo or not. This is in part due to his innate and powerful curiosity. He is quite literally driven to learn and taste new things. There are also two things Mack loves most in this life: eating and being awesome. And while the latter is rather vague, to Mack it is encapsulated in the video that starred the inspiration for his name. The title of that movie was The Death of Mack McCoy and it flopped in the box offices during its day. Moviegoers cited how trite and cliche the hero was and how brittle and boring the overarching plot was. Yet, despite these facts, Mack McCoy summarized everything that the young Neepo ever wanted to be. He is the literal inspiration for every action Mack Baws does when not driven by his instinctual needs. The movie has, in a sense, taken on religious connotations for the little guy. As it serves as his guiding post, it also serves to override his common sense and self-preservation instincts. Because, often in situations where the rational Neepo would flee, Mack will defiantly and dogmatically hold his ground. His mantra has become ‘What would Mack McCoy do?’ In a fight, Mack tries to emulate the suave, confident and generally badass fighting style of his idol. He fights with abandon and flair and often takes unnecessary risks to achieve victory. However, in no way does Mack fight fair. After all, his idol did not. Outside of a good fight, Mack is consumed by his curiosity. And often becomes easily bored if there isn’t something new and interesting to peak his interests. This leads to the blank expression and the primal need to sate his oral fixation. This further leads to the general opinion that he is a moron. However, for a Neepo he is relatively intelligent. Although, you’d never know it by conversing with him. His mind is driven by a need to discover whilst simultaneously ‘looking cool.’ Ironically and sadly, Mack considers himself to be quite the ladies man even though he is entirely inept at engaging members of the opposite sex. Often times, when he hilariously fails, he attributes it to a fault or shortcoming of the opposite gender and not his own. He is, however, driven by a need to find his soulmate, which furthers to fuel his reckless need to look cool at all times. To be boring is a state worse than death for Mack. |
Philosphy The little guy’s philosophy is a simple one. Does it look cool? Will he look cool doing it? Will the ladies think he’s awesome? And, ooh, what’s that? That’s shiny. Is it tasty? I bet its tasty. Can I put it in my mouth? It doesn’t taste very good. How does it work? Let’s find out! Oh, hey, there’s a bad guy. He looks pretty tough. I bet I can take him. It’ll look pretty badass, too. Hey, you, bozo! Lets fight! And lastly, there is his mantra: What would Mack McCoy do? |
