An empty room. It was all she needed today - and it was indeed all she had. Likely because the class was not scheduled to start for another half hour, but it was what it was. She was pacing nervously back and forth as she awaited those who had signed up for it, though she didn't even know who that was. This would be the very first class she taught, which was the reason for her apparent nerves. She hadn't even taught a Padawan before, but she knew the Order needed more teachers. So she would try her hand at this and see if she was any good or not. If not, it was no bother - she could easily step aside and let someone else teach. But if she was somehow actually decent at teaching, perhaps she could finally start helping the Order.

Most of her training had thus far been on her own or with Fang; she wasn't sure if it would lend itself to teaching others or not. She had focused entirely on mastering the style for her whole life, however, so she knew that it was something she should be able to teach. As with every other form though, it would look at least slightly different for each person who learned it. Most would seek to pair it with another style to take out the inherent weaknesses in the style, but perhaps that was made her a good person to teach it, as she had thus far kept herself to mastering Makashi alone. She might one day branch out, but for now she was strangely suited to teaching a non-influential style of the basics, which others could then build into their own unique style.

For now she paced and waited for others to begin arriving.

Jorda arrived for the class early as usual, this was the form he had always wanted to learn there was just never a better opportunity to learn it than right now. He had just come from the mess now that he had arrived he thought to himself maybe it would of been better to not eat right before doing this class.

He could feel the nerves on the teacher before he even saw her pacing back and forth, now wonder though Jorda could never imagine himself taking a class well not yet anyway. Entering in he bowed to the jedi before him " Jorda Ellan here for the Makashi Training class " he stated " This is the right classroom I hope? " he quickly asked at the end.

(Why am I always in classes with both of my character's padawans?)

Selieria Deloi was not entirely sure as to why she was attending a class on the basics of Makashi. Her father had taught her the style a long time ago, and she had mastered it since. In fact, she was the only Jedi in the galaxy that currently knew her Father's sub style of Makashi, Water Blade style. Deloi really just wanted to attend because of the sentimental value of Makashi teachings as opposed to the practical ones. The tall, blond, and blue eyed Selieria kept that in mind as she entered the classroom. In the room she found another student, who happened to be her Padawan, and the teacher of the actual lesson, Arisa Ikeli. Arisa Ikeli was about three inches shorter than Deloi and twice her age. However, they both possessed blue eyes, despite Deloi's being closer to silver in color, and Arisa had beautiful silver hair as opposed to Deloi's blond. Looking down at Ikeli's belt, Deloi noticed the curved lightsaber that she was using. The appearance of the curved lightsaber made her remember the times she had shared with her father, who carried a similar lightsaber. Selieria's lightsaber, a standard one, was crafted more for Ataru and her father's sub style of Makashi as opposed to the base line.

"Hello, Ikeli, and hello to you too, Jorda," announced Deloi as she walked in the room, "It is good to see both of you. I was hoping to attend this class today."

Cotan Sar'andor smiled, walking into the classroom. It was on Makashi, the Padawan's favoured form, and though it was just the basics - stuff he'd mastered long before - it never hurt to undergo a refresher course, essentially. Up in front was Arisa, the Knight running the class, though a couple others had already walked in. He smiled and nodded at them, before walking up to introduce himself to the teacher; and who knew - perhaps if Arisa liked him, he might be able to ask her to teach him about some of the more in-depth, complicated parts of the style, what he really needed to learn.

"Knight Arisa," he said in greeting, bowing down. "Padawan Cotan Sar'andor, here to learn, and hopefully keep his limbs."

The young Jedi Knight walked through the corridors of the Star Destroyed towards the classroom at a slow, calm pace. On the way, he noticed a few Younglings and Padawans staring at him, but as soon as he looked upon them, they looked away. " Is my scarred face that distracting ? ", he thought to himself as he walked on. The Jedi Knight teaching in the classroom he`s walking to will teach the Makashi form. " Aaah, the Makashi form, reserved for lightsaber on lightsaber combat ", he thinks to himself, " ... if only I was trained in it sooner, before ... " He stops as he arrives near the entrance to the classroom.

Taking a deep breath, he steps into the classroom, overhearing the Padawan mentioning something about " hopefully keeping his limbs " . The sentence makes him smirk as he scratches his arm, right above the black gauntlet. Taking a few steps forward, he bows down towards Arisa, saying : " Greetings, Knight Arisa. I am Knight Xan-Dar Sulati, here to learn from you. "

Since Cross was arrived at Anoth and found his fellow Jedi, he was searching for someone that could teach him more about Makashi and then finally the Knight Arisa kindly offered this class, so with great joy he was walking to meet with her as his classmates.

After arriving he smiled to everyone and looked to Arisa and curved in a respectful way and said:

“Knight Arisa, I’m Cross and it’s an honor to learn more about Makashi under your lead”.

That class was really important to Cross and he was hoping that maybe he could build a friendship with Arisa and learn more another day. Perhaps she could teach Makashi Advanced Class.

Good morning knight Arisa, hello everyone I'm Mar'cin and I'm sorry for being late. Mar'cin said as he hurried into the class.
He did not like to be late, but lately he had a lot of responsibilities.
He always wanted to learn Makashi, as it was the mos elegant style of all. And it suited his weapon best.
It is an honor to learn from you this beautifil style. he said taking place in the classroom. He hoped that this delay will not be badly received by the teacher and other students.

Arisa stopped her pacing once everyone started to arrive, coming to a stop and waiting patiently in the Center of the classroom. As each new person came in and offered their name, she would give each a nod and a welcoming word. Once the first five had gathered she would clear her throat and begin to speak. "Hello everyone, and welcome to this class on -" She was interrupted by a latecomer bursting into the classroom and calling out towards her as he did. A smirk stole over her lips as he apologized for being late and then threw in a bit of flattery. She let out a chuckle because she couldn't help herself and nodded towards him.

"Well, if that is now everyone" - She paused to give Mar'Cin a teasing wink - "that is to be coming today, we can begin. This is too be a class on the basics of Makashi, both in form and footwork. There will not be much contact, so unless you were planning on cutting your own limbs off, I believe you will be safe Padawan Sar'andor. If that still sounds too dangerous, I can arrange for a practice saber for you?" A hint of that same smirk played at her lips as she looked at the mentioned Padawan, though it seemed to be a serious offer. "Now, before we begin, could you all please remove your footwear. And are there any questions?" Even as she listened for questions, she would be removing her own boots and using the Force to float them over to rest next to the door nearly.

Jorda had given a quick smile to his Master as she had entered but had no time to sit around and talk, taking off his boots when asked he came back and took his seat at the back of the class waiting for everyone else to get any questions they may have out of the road. He was quite looking forward to this Jorda had never really wanted to be the best fighter in the order he was one of those jedi that would rather use the force than a lightsaber.

Selieria Deloi understood the concept of removing her shoes before practicing Makashi as there was a lot of footwork practice that could be done without them. The young woman began steadily removing her black boots as to continue on their lesson. As she was taking them off, she could not help but hope that she would not find the class to basic for her. Training with her father was always so intense and typically wore her out, especially before she had actually fully learned. With both shoes off, Deloi proceeded to stand up and remove her lightsaber from her belt. Her lightsaber was an interestingly crafted brass, chrome, and black hilt in a standard grip as opposed to traditional Makashi curved. The blade itself emitted green, a color associated with her chosen path as Jedi Consular.

I wonder what she will first teach, pondered Selieria, Stance, most likely.

"Sadly, a practice saber is all I have," Cotan said, shrugging and smiling at Arisa. "Besides, I hear that robotic limbs are all the rage now." Smiling again, Cotan withdrew somewhat, kicking off the shoes that he wore and tossing them by the door, not quite so neatly as had the others before him.

The young Knight walks over near the entrance where he takes off his cloak and begins unstrapping his combat boots as he speaks : " Don`t worry, Padawan Sar`andor . Those of us that do own proper lightsabers will dial down the power intensity so the lightsaber effectively becomes just like a practice saber . " He chuckles before he glances at Arisa, saying : " ... unless I`m mistaken. " . As he is finished unstrapping his combat boots, he takes them off and sets them near the others` boots before he walks back to the group, saying : " As for that rumour you`ve heard about robotic limbs, you are right. " He then smirks as he goes on : " The downside is that if you have a prosthetic limb, you might get an awful itch and go berserk as you scratch the chasis of the prosthesis like a mad Rancor . "

He then cracks his neck, saying : " Ready to begin. "

While they were talking Cross took of his boots and ignited his lightsaber reducing its power to training level and said looking to everyone:

“So let me reduce it, I don’t want that anyone get mad like a Rancor with his new limbs! Hahaha” he laughed.

He was comfortable with that class. The people seemed to be very happy and peaceful.
Surely moments like that were necessary in those dark days, where the Jedi were been hunted.
Indeed they should smile and try to grow in their unity as Jedi, because only on that way they could rise again.

“So when we begin?” he asked with a smile.

Mar'cin also hurriedly took off his shoes and placed them next to the other. He took of his lightfoil from his belt and changed its power setting to minimum.

"I hope it will not get a lot of bruises after this" he said with a smile.

Mar'cin stood next to others and prepared for further instructions from the master

Arisa simply nodded towards Xan; turning down sabers to practice levels was something they could do if needed. She didn't say anything about it though; anyone who had more than a training saber was wise enough to decide on their own if they needed to reduce its power or not. She knew some of those present were Knights, whom she would give the benefit of the doubt to. If they thought they could handle their saber at full power and not cut off someone's limb, she wasn't here to say differently. A few jokes were let out that she smiled to, but soon enough everyone had their shoes off - and there wasn't a question asked of her.

She waited until the six of them were ready before speaking again. "Very well, we will begin. Makashi, as most of you likely know, is what most would co sider the truest dueling form. It was designed with lightsaber to lightsaber combat in mind, and while it is one of the best forms for this style of combat when you have mastered it, it also has its failings. Any other form of combat, it will be weak to unless paired with another style. For this reason, it also tends to be the style that is most often combined with, or at least influenced by another form. Most of the other six forms work well with it, but I have found that which style is chosen depends on the person choosing. Because of this, I will only be teaching on Makashi in its most basic form; without influence from any other forms." She paused in her speaking and brought her lightsaber up off her belt, igniting it and holding it before her face in the classic dueling position. "It is a style that focuses on precision, efficiency and footwork. It is elegant when perfected; yet clumsy when used by those wont properly trained."

She swished her saber to form an X cut in front of her before bringing her saber to the side in a low guard. "It is also, in my opinion, a style reserved for the more respectable combatant. It does not rely on strength, but timing and accuracy. To this end, most use only a single lightsaber. This will allow you to move easier. You may find that you enjoy a curved lightsaber as well, but that is a bit more advanced than I had planned to be today." She shifted her stance, her right foot dropping back six inches. "Now, we will begin with footwork, as I believe it is an often overlooked, yet essential part of mastery for Makashi. If you perfect your footwork, the rest of the Form will fall in to place. The important thing to remember is that every single motion you make counts. Not just how far forward, but what angle you place your foot down; the amount of weight you put on it, the speed it moves at - everything should be smooth and fluid, yet always planned ahead for your next few steps at least." She paused in her speaking to start stepping forward; two quick steps forward before she turned slightly left and circled an imaginary opponent, lightsaber thrusting and held in a low guard, then deactivating her lightsaber and turning to face them again. "Well, the basics of learning footwork are fairly straight forward. Each of you pick a spot on the floor not hear yourselves, then count the number of footsteps to get there in your head. Once you have your number, walk there and see if you were correct. Once you have your stride perfected, pick a number different than what it should be and take that amount of steps to reach the spot instead." She took a step backwards. "Any questions?" She would also motion that they could try it out now, if they so wished.

Jorda had sat quietly listening to the Teacher, standing up he picked his spot and started practising his steps towards it. After getting a hang of his steps he stared increasing and decreasing the number it took him to get there also being quick sometimes and also a lot slower sometime. Making sure he was getting a good feel of his footwork.

Cotan barely resisted the urge to groan. These were the basics, alright - he'd first gone through this exercise when he'd first started learning the Form. And, as that session and numerous ones after had proven to Cotan, the exercise would quickly get tedious. Still, he had signed up for the class himself, so he had to go through with it.

Without making it seem like he wanted to get moving on to something more (which was certainly hard for him), Cotan started going through the exercises, though doing more than just altering the speed and number of steps of he took, but also changing and breaking up the rhythm of his stride, as well. Hopefully he didn't look like he was showing off.

Xan listened with attention to Arisa`s lesson as she explained the basics of the Makashi form while simultaneously demonstrating the footwork and fitting lightsaber strikes. This lightsaber form could prove very useful to Xan in the future and thus he decided to listen and absorb as much knowledge as possible.

As she was finished, Xan reached behind his dark robes and took out his well-concealed lightsaber. He then stepped onto the training mat and ignited his lightsaber as the blade extended from the hilt, shining a blue hue and produced it`s characteristic hum. He then dialed down the power intensity of his lightsaber, reducing it to the level of a common training lightsaber. Safety comes first and he does not wish to be responsible for the loss of another`s limb, he of all people should know the experience of losing one.

Taking a deep breath and cracking his neck, Xan began to mimic Arisa`s footwork and lightsaber swing patterns, now and then alternating in speed, precision and intensity.

Cross was very used with the basics of the Makashi and the footwork, so doing the initial stage proposed by Arisa was easy to him, but he would not wanted to show his knowledge, so he only did what Arisa asked.

For him, that was a really opportune chance for practice and consolidation of what he already knew, and he was hoping to have some advanced tips in the end of the training or maybe doing an one-to-one duel with Arisa, for the improvement of his dueling practice.

In the meantime, he was just following the steps that were ordered, calmly awaiting the right time to make his in depth questions.

Due to his military and martial arts training the idea of foot work was easy for Mar'cin. He quickly got the hang of it.
Despite the fact that they were only the basics Mar'cin tried to give his best, because he knew that the basics are always the most important. Unfortunately, many people forget about it and try to learn advanced techniques as soon as possible.
However, he did not have anything beside the time, so he decided to focus on the task before him.
