Manufacturer: Kelvarik Consolidated Arms
Production Line: Wrist Rocket Launcher
Model: Manticora Rocket System
Technical Weapon Designation: Manticora-4
Affiliation: Mercenaries, bounty hunters
Availability: Mass-Produced
Modularity: Slight; by default it is capable of interfacing with most HUDs on the market. Most of its customizability lay in integrating it with an armor system or in integrating it with another forearm-mounted 'wrist' weapon.
Composition: Duraplast casing
Ownership: Dred Jotano
Description: A versatile rocket launcher, this system can deliver a variety of payloads according to the needs and pocketbook of the user. Extremely popular with bounty hunters - and equally unpopular with more legitimate law enforcement - this miniature rocket launcher attaches to the arm just behind the wrist and overhangs the back of the hand, alleviating the user's worry about accidentally shooting his hand off. The rockets fire with a built in electrically-detonated charge located to the rear of the casing; the rocket engine itself doesn't ignite until about 3-5 meters away from the weapon. This system fires 20mm homing rockets, guided into place via a coaxial targeting laser. The wearer is thus able to adjust his aim point on the fly, tracking a moving target in ways unguided munitions can't. This is not a magic tracking system; targets can often evade by breaking line of sight or outmaneuvering the rocket.
The rocket has an internal payload of six rockets, all mounted on a rotating drum around the wearer's forearm. The wearer can select a particular rocket using a control panel on the back of the launcher, the same control panel used to fire the rocket. The Manticora-4, unlike the Manticora-3 and previous models, has the ability to interface directly with most suit HUDs for both munitions selection and aimpoint adjustment. For safety's sake, it cannot fire unless manually triggered. There is also a secondary trigger that the wearer can place in the palm of the firing hand.
Rockets available on the market include the following: high-explosive incendiary/armor-piercing (HEIAP) rockets useful against both armored vehicles and armored personnel alike (kill radius 5m, wound radius 25m), anti-personnel HE rockets (kill radius 5m, wound radius 25m), concussive stun rockets (effective radius 13m), and DEMP ion blast rockets (catastrophic kill radius 5m, mobility kill radius 30m).
The HEIAP rockets are shaped charges coupled with incendiaries that deliver a high-velocity explosive penetrator into the target. The incendiaries ignite with temperatures hot enough to boil steel, the shaped charge blasts a path for the penetrator, and the penetrator itself is an armor-piercing round with an explosive core that detonates inside the target itself. They are actually less effective against soft targets; armored targets trigger the explosives and incendiaries, while they simply fragment inside organic targets much like very large frangible bullets.
The anti-personnel rockets function mostly through shrapnel and a blast, as high-explosive fragmentary weapons have for ages. Though they lack much in penetration power, they're cheaper and much more useful against soft targets.
The stun and DEMP rockets are both recoverable and reusable, needing only a fresh charge. The explosive rockets are, quite naturally, not.
The rockets are not dangerous or explosive until they are armed, which requires them to actually launch and clear more than fifteen meters. Within that range, they're simply 20mm bullets. The rockets can be set for proximity (typically used for the HE, stun, and ion rockets), impact (most useful for armor-piercing rockets), proximity delay (for detonating after penetration) or for timed delay detonation (typically used for airbursts of the HE, stun, and ion rockets).

Classification: 20mm Rocket Launcher
Size: Small
Length: .45 meters/ 18 inches
Weight: 2.5 kg (not including rockets, which typically weigh .5 kg apiece)
Ammunition Capacity: Six rockets
Range: Point: 300m, Area: 700m, Maximum: 2200m. Within the minimum range of 15m the rockets are not armed.

I haven't finished the character this is for yet, but figured it couldn't hurt to vet it.
