Maria is very loyal to those who can get close to her. Although she often blocks people out once one befriends her she is completely loyal. She is also very attached to family. She hates not knowing where her brother is while he’s out “trading”. Her parents died after severe plague and she was left to care for her brother increasing their ties to each other.
HISTORY:
Maria was born on Mindor, a small grassy farm world where few ever visited. Maria was not an only child, she had one brother named Max and would have had yet another sibling if her mother had not died before giving birth. She was twelve when her mother died and her aging father cared for her and her brother. After one year of a happy childhood living with just her father and brother her father died leaving her to take care of her now 5 year old brother.
Maria raised her brother like a mother and began to practicing exercise and focus on her physical body. When her brother turned twelve he ran away leaving a note telling that he loved his sister, but she shouldn’t have to take care of him and that he was getting off this rock by accepting an apprenticeship to a “pirate extraordinaire.” Maria was heartbroken and began to train even harder honing her body into a weapon.
One day when she was in town buying groceries and cursing her low wage as a farmer’s help she was approached by a man claiming to be a Jedi. The man said he sensed the Force in her and began to train her in the philosophy of the Force and sword combat. He learned much of her life but she never learned his name much past “master”. He allowed Maria to develop her own theories about the Force and allowed her to continue her training that she had set for herself. He said this could help hone her instincts and power in the Force. After five years of training she was as powerful as a Jedi Knight and was promoted to knight by her master. Moments after granting her this title he became one with the Force and vanished. Now Maria is seeking admitance to the BHG and wishes to hunt for the good of the Republic.
