In the deep jungles of Yavin IV, there was a large empty clearing of brown dirt, a fitting place just for this area. There was a large rock in the middle and several tree's in the area, but nothing much. Markus was there, leaning against one of the tree's with his Rifle out as it rested in his hands, waiting seemingly. His Dagger and his Blade were both left behind, as per the rules of this engagement, but he prefered to use his rifles over melee weapons. He checked his rifle again, making sure it was charged up, as was his pistol. THe only thing to do now was wait for his opponent, Feris Kai, to appear for battle.

Feris Kai emerged from behind a bunch of trees near an old Massassi Temple that appeared overgrown and corroded dure to many many years of disuse. He maneuvered to the clearing where his opponent stood, awaiting his arrival. Feris was more than happy to have made him...

His opponent stood about six feet tall and was obviously a Mandolorian. Feris had never encountered a Mando in all his travels, but he would learn of their triats today against this stout killer. Feris would have to rely heavily on his knowledge and strong connection of the Force.

Feris stands before Marcus with seemingly usual Sith Knight robes, made of dark materials. His robes, however, were not usual and recently recieved an upgraded underlay to help absorb some of the energy from Marcus' modified blasters.

A stiff wind blew between the trees and greeted Feris' face, pushing his hood back behind his head, revealing the pale, stoic expression upon his prothetic face. He unfastened his cloak and it dropped to the ground behind him. Then the clothes slid many feet behind him as he pushed them out of the arena.

He put his hand upon his blaster pistol and said:

Let's get this over with, Mandolorian.

"Hmph."

Markus gruffed, not one to back down from that. He leaned off the tree and faced Feris fully as he aimed his rifle at him, and there was a small delay. And then, the sounds of the rifle's trigger being pulled was heard and a small stream of red energy bolts shot out of the rifle and headed straight for Feris. As he fired, Dagger ran towards another tree to take cover, not letting Feris out of his sight.

Feris never drew his blaster, instead he force jumped out of the way. He heard the electrical whizz as the bolt traveled just past him. He finally drew his blaster and fired a few shots in Dagger's general direction until he could position himself behind a tree as well.

This Mandolorian is a peerless shot...

He thought as he felt out with the force and picked up on Marcus. Both were well hidden behind tree trunks, but Feris knew exactly where he was, so he blasted off twenty or so shots at the tree Marcus was behind. He fired shot after shot, each blasting away a little bit of the tree as it hit. He knew Marcus would have to move or fire back, so Feris moved back with most of his body behind the tree and only his arm, blaster, and a sliver of his face peeked around it.

He continued to fire at the tree awaiting a bolt to travel thru the tree or for Marcus to come from behind the tree, in which case he would blast away at him....

Markus felt the vibrations of the tree he was leaning against, knowing he would have to move soon. He yanked his pistol from his waist, and took a quick peak around the corner, seeing Feris shooting at the tree trunk, but saw where he was. He aimed his pistol at the direction he was at and blind fired his pistol several times, seconds before he made a dash for another tree, continuing to fire at him or his location as he rolled towards the other tree on his side of the ring.

"Damnit. For a Force Weilder, he's a good shot..."

He said, holstering his pistol as he pulled his rifle out again, charging it up for a power blast as he peaked up and fired it at the tree once more, scorching some of it as bark and wood was sent flying.

Feris ducked as some of the force from the charged attack blasted thru the tree trunk, exiting just above his head.

Why did it have to be blasters...

He thought as he repositioned after Marcus' attack. He used the force one more to sense Dagger's location. Then he stealthily Force Jumped high into a tree and aimed downward at Marcus and began firing once again.

Feris was not the best shot, but he fired off so many shot's that he almost made up for it. The bolts blasted all around Marcus from above as Feris was perched in a high branch.

"God Damn Force Weilder..."

He grumbled, one of the bolts skitching his shoulder armor as he aimed up and fired a stream of bolts all around where the blaster bolts were coming from as he rolled away, another shot hitting him in the heavy armored spots. Pure luck was on his side apparently. He turned his head around as he ran for the center boulder, managing to aim his rifle with one hand as he let off another stream of bolts at Feris, who he now saw.
