The creator of this thread is busy, so I've taken it upon myself to make this thread.

It's been decided that the RP takes place five years after the First Contact War, so humans are just beginning to take steps into galactic civilization.

Please post your character sheets below.

Once enough have signed up, I'll make an IC thread or two to get us into motion.

Zina'Valen nas Nira

SPECIES: Quarian

GENDER: Female

AGE: 24

HEIGHT: 5'7

WEIGHT: 130 Pounds

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: A standard looking Quarian in terms of size and body shape. Her suit, however, is made to look more unique to others of her species, despite looking like a generic Quarian suit to other species. Her suit consists of gray, white, and blue patterns that adorn over her figure. Her suit also has cloth hanging down from her back to around halfway down her upper legs, like a kilt that only covers her back.

[BEEBOX=90%]
HISTORY
[/BEEBOX]
Zina was born on the Migrant Fleet, aboard the flagship Nira. Her mother had been wearing a faulty suit, due to an unsecured hose that allowed for bacteria and other unwanted pathogens in. Her mother, when the suit had become faulty, had been working on an Element Zero engine, which dust particles of had seeped into her suit.

Zina's mother died in childbirth, however, due to exposure of Element Zero during her pregnancy, Zina was suspected of being Biotic by Quarian doctors aboard the Nira flagship. As she grew older, further testings proved that the young girl did indeed have a level of proficiency in Biotic usage. Not wanting to waste this gift that had cost the ship a life, she was raised to control and use her powers to her advantage. Many of her implants and cybernetic augmentations were solely to help her control her helpful powers.

As she grew older, and her time for pilgrimage grew closer, Zina began training with several weapons, to see which ones she would be proficient in. After some testing, it was shown that the two weapons that she was most capable with was the Heavy Pistol, and the Assault Rifle. She was given standard issued sets of the two weapons, before given standard training in them for many years, alongside her biotic training.

Then she started her Pilgrimage at the age of twenty. She left the flagship Nira, using a rickety old shuttle in hopes of finding something that she could bring back to the Migrant Fleet to honor her family as well as her ship. Her first destination was the Citadel, where she landed her ship, only to find that it absolutely refused to start once more. After paying most of her credits in trying to get it fixed, it was found that the damages inside of it were nigh unfixable, as it would be cheaper to simply buy a newer model.

Not having the credits to pay for a new ship, she simply stayed at the Citadel, working at whatever jobs she could. A lot of nights she would sleep in the homeless shelters with Turians, eating nutrient paste specially designed for Turians and Quarians. However, she's kept her guns with her, and she's been able to defend herself ever since she's arrived.

[BEEBOX=90%]
PERSONALITY
[/BEEBOX]

Zina is a proud Quarian, not willing to admit defeat nor back down from a challenge. Despite her lack of extensive training in technology like other Quarians, she is quick to hop into positions where such knowledge is needing. Even though this has only backfired one or twice due to pure luck, she has not considered dropping out of such situations, as that one mean admitting that she was not proficient in such a simple topic.

Zina is also a bit of a hoarder. She keeps most of the things she gathers, either keeping them on her or stored away in some hidey hole that she's established somewhere on the Citadel. She believes that most things have some value that she can milk out of it, even if it is a difficult task. Due to this, on one occasion, C-Sec once found a hidey hole locker she had hidden away in the air-shafts, opening it to find several editions of Fornax fall to the floor.

She is quite proud of her powers, and is more than willing to show off the things she can do, things that most thought Quarians were incapable of.

Her headstrong personality often gets her into trouble with C-Sec, however, as she's quick to get angry at accusations of thievery, all of which were false. She has gotten into plenty of fights, and has a small record with C-Sec due to her actions.

I'll get to writing up a character over the weekend and will hopefully post it next week...

Are we free to use any/all races that are seen within the ME Universe ?
And any/all classes ?

I don't see why not-within reason of course.

Meaning I don't believe using a Yahg would be a very believable choice, considering they're currently restricted to their home planet, or using a Vorcha that's very smart.

General description: A large, burly Krogan usually clad in a red suit of scraped and worn Blood Pack berserker armor. It has been adorned with the Blood Pack logo on both of his shoulders.

History: Gurak was born on the Krogan home world of Tuchanka and was raised in clan Wyrloc to be a warrior. His early life was spent maintaining weapons used by his elders and learning to channel his raw strength. When Gurak became of age he passed the Krogan writ of passage and became a full fledged member of clan Wyrloc.

Gurak joined the Blood Pack, a band of Krogan and Vorcha mercenaries, and left Tuchanka when he was 28, he spent the next 7 years working as a mercenary before leaving after a violent confrontation with his leader.

Gurak's rage has more or less mellowed as he matured and spent time away from the Blood Pack and his warmongering clan and he now works as a hired thug on the Citadel in order to feed himself, he still keeps and wears his Blood Pack armor.

Personality: In the past Gurak was a battle hardened, blood thirsty warrior who was always looking for a fight and never backed down from a challenge. Years of experience in the Blood Pack and as a freelance mercenary has tempered his rage. He is now more or less calm in his day to day life and tends to be a little standoffish to strangers. commando_by_luckyfk_d6dh1op.jpg

History:

Maka was born on the planet Trategos, an icy world of harsh winters and freezing summers that made many of the inhabitants hardy and self-reliant. Maka spent most of her life on the planet, growing found of the cold as she worked to become part of the planets defense force, no dreams or aspirations of travel. When she was 129 years old, Maka was forced to leave her homeworld after the death of her mother, unable to face the loss or bear to carry on her work on her chilly world, and took to traveling the galaxy as she worked to find some use for her commando skills. During her travels, she meet many other asari, but found it difficult to relate to them, unused to so many unfamiliar faces over the close community of Trategos, nor their openness or social graces. She eventually came to serve alongside an asari justicar named Yodinya, who had sworn an oath of subsumation to the aging asari progressive Matriarch Beenzia. Her cold exterior made Maka felt more comfortable around her, not needing to socialize beyond the necessities, and the two quickly became good combat partners. When benezia chose to try and guide saren, Maka initially refused, but was convinced by Justicar Yodinya to accompany them.

When Benezia came forward with her plan to increase asari dominance by working with Saren, Maka and a few of the other guards objected, and Justicar Yodinya was ordered to dispatch them. The Justicar oath she swore compelled her to obey, and Yodinya slaughtered many of the guards, receiving multiple fatal wounds. The killing blow came from Maka, who froze her friend before shattering her to pieces, receiving serious injuries in the process. She only survived, because Benezia used the opportunity to leave with those asari still loyal to her cause, and when news reached the asari republics that a justicar had been killed, a bounty was placed upon Maka's head. Maka has been forced to be on the run ever since, bitter and broken and forced into a life of having to kill to survive. Maka has developed a nickname of The Cold Wind of Trategos, and serves whomever she thinks is worth her time, never satisfied for long and never feeling like she belongs anywhere.

Personality: Maka is a distant individual who doesn't like to open up to others readily and has a difficult time trusting others. Her poor health makes her mindful of her diet, and she can be a bit overbearing in others as well, a bit of a mother hen. Maka is embarrassed by her lack of strong biotics, and her reliance on tech to compensate, having a mild case of biotic envy. She enjoys the cold, and the sound of rushing wind, as well as the outdoors and open wilderness. Maka has no love for humans, just as she has no love for the asari, and is looking for a path to restore her lost honor, more to herself then anything for her people. Maka is often homesick, and can be found sometimes staring down at her omnitool at photos of home.

You can certainly try, but I'd just recommend using one character for now, until we get things into an order where more than one character could be used.

First Aid- 4/10
Electronics – 6/10
Assault Training – 7/10
Assault Rifles – 6/10
Sniper Rifles – 7/10
Hand Cannons – 5/10

Personality:
Optus can appear to be stone faced and stern but underneath the cold exterior he has a heart of gold. He is intelligent, professional and hard-working He’s a man of action, and he likes getting results through decisive moves. He is very open minded when it comes to race and or religion, he is respectful of all.

Background:
Optus was born and raised on Palaven and like all other Turians began to serve the state from the age of 15. He trained to be a soldier from 15 and by the age of 20 he was put into the ranks of the army as an officer. His skills with a long ranged weapons and tactical espionage were far superior than most at his age, even for a Turian. Optus lead a team for a few years mainly keeping the peace and a few odd missions from time to time dealing with merc groups troubling the borders of council space. His real test came with the Relay 314 incident.

Optus was deployed in ground combat against the humans, his skills and tactics won him the 2 battles he fought in although not as easily as he first thought. Optus was never one to underestimate and enemy, especially one they knew nothing about at the time but he must admit he did not expect such a small and fragile race to fight with such ferocity and aggression. He organised his party well spread evenly across the battlefield with a frontal attack and scouts to counter the flank, but the humans knew battle tactics too and rushed them. Optus was surprised by the attack which caused his side casualties and for a moment caught them off guard. It was Optus who rallied the group taking out most of the human’s first assault with his sniper and spotting the humans second wave trying to flank around the group. Now it was the Turians turn to rush the humans and they did so aggressively. Optus came face to face with a human for the first time on this deployment, he had no time to quickly switch weapons from his sniper to a more suitable close range weapon so he dive on the human in order to disable him from firing. Optus and the enemy struggled for a while rolling into the dusty surface throwing punches when they could, in the end Optus gained the upper hand and strangled the human until it stopped struggling and lay still. Optus would reflect on that moment for the rest of his life. He had gained a great respect for the humans in his two deployments, he had witnessed the bravery and aggression of their adversary and he had watched as they formed a battle plan, they had a great understanding of tactics which Optus could only admire. Yet he lay there on that day with a fallen warrior of a race he did not know and he had ended its life, what they must think of us, Optus thought.

Optus would later retire from the military ranks, he had heard of the Turians defeat at Shanxi later that month and found himself relieved, not angry, not upset… relieved. The months that followed saw the Humans accepted into the ranks of the galactic council and they began their slow integration. He could not say what had happened to him on the battlefield on that day. He just knew his life as a soldier would now be over. Optus retired a distinguished officer and could not stand the idea of a boring desk job. He tried his hand at mercenary work once on Omega of all places, but alas that life was not best suited to him either. In fact, he may have killed a few blue suns after refusing to beat senseless a poor merchant who could not pay a debt he owed. Instead of following orders he killed his “fellow” blue suns and helped the merchant escape Omega. That may have put him on the hit list of the Blue Suns but that did not scare Optus.

Optus now works the wards on the Citadel as a C-Sec officer. He likes the practical side of things, not so much the paper-work. There was enough corruption and gangs on the Citadel to keep Optus busy, and knowing that he would be protecting the good people who lived as residents was a good enough reason for him being here. Working on the Citadel also allowed him to meet the Humans and get to understand them. Even now five years later the tension is still high between the Turians and the Humans. Optus had already uncovered attempts on human lives and Turian lives in racial attacks on the Citadel. Somehow helping to keep the peace on the Citadel between inter-racial communities helped clean his own conscience.

Personality:

Dylan has major trust issues with Turians and only minor trust issues with other aliens, seeing that it is partly their fault for what happened. An though he doesn't think that humans should take over the galaxy he feels that they shouldn't put to much stock in the council. He does think some aliens are hot/cute, you can guess which one. Yet doesn't me he will just hock up with them just for the looks. Though he also has a hard time with fellow humans because of the PTSD he has from the battle of Shanix. It might be manageable but it does take its toll on him, making him more prone to violence and depression at times. He also has problems sleeping but it doesn't affect him as much as he has medication for it.

This has led him to be reliant on drugs to keep him going, though its mostly just the sleeping pills but without them he could go to a full meltdown. No one would be sure how long it could last, but if those that he has learned to trust and car for are with him than most likely he could pull though. But without anyone it would take much longer for him to get out of the depression train. Though if he can prepare for something, than Dylan could last in a fight without falling apart.

Though Dylan is still very much a soldier and feels its his duty to help any humans or innocent people, though sometimes he will need just a slight push to help aliens. But he will eventually do it when given the slight push, he will still save those that need it. But of course when it comes to Turians he will be very resistant on, as having lost friends and lots of people by the war. Dylan also is alright with killing people, aliens or humans, if he feels it is necessary. To him death

Biography:

Born on one of the many colonies, the man was born with little and worked very hard on the small colony, helping around where he could. Being a mostly agricultural colony the young man wished to adventure an exploration and when time came that he could head off to become a alliance soldier he did. He became a grunt and sadly his first battle was during the first contact war, on Shanix the first defeat for humanity against another species. Many of his friends were blow out of the sky because of the turians, but thankfully before he and the rest of the army were overrun the general surrendered. Something that Dylan feels guilty over, though later he was released, an when everything was done he was still working for the alliance.

Though it soon became clear he was having problems in doing his duty, after a few missions and eventually a soldier telling command. Dylan was asked to speak with a psychologist, and was shown to have PTSD. Which of course got him to be forced to speak to the military psychologist to help him deal with the issue. But he was also transferred to the citadel where he was on guard on the human embassy. Even with his distrust of aliens, he was a soldier and took the assignment, once on the citadel he got a place to live. An was told to speak with the military counselor there, which did help him manage his PTSD but it never fully was dealt with.

Now he just guards the embassy, and explore the citadel though the amount of aliens do creep him out from time to time, he has learn to hide it. Not that he looks down on them, just simply doesn't like how the C.E.S is made up of mostly turians. But because of his position he has to deal with them from time to time.

Equipment:

Alliance standard armor, assault rifle, pistol, omni tool.

Skills:

As a soldier he has implants that help him focus during combat and to increase his physical abilities, though he was primary trained to be a marksman. In close courters combat he does better than the average soldier but isn't anywhere near the top of the top. He isn't the greatest when working with explosives but he does know when you throw a grenade it generally kills people. Though changing out his ammo type is a very useful trick and Dylan uses it quiet often in battle. Dylan is unable to really pilot by himself, though he does have basic training on how to handle most standard vehicles. Just rather let someone else handle it if possible. He is also very good at first aid, since during his time in Shanxi they needed all the help they can get and Dylan volunteered to help when possible. Being physically in shape for a human, Dylan was very healthy and able to take a beating but, because of the PTSD it might cause him to break down.

I'd say at least 25. Though, around ten of them are stationed at the entrance.
