This seems like a fun one. Do we want to establish any rules beyond standard manaan? Also, any idea on timeline compared to other events for this one, Sith who started it?
Alright, I've posted and closed the thread to any other newcomers.
@Bauren, as for any special rules, I don't know about anyone else here, but with this being my character's first thread I'd prefer he didn't die. Injury however I'm more open to.
So if you all like it, have this be a no death, but injury allowed fight.
I know that's technically a but it seems a bit impractical to have this many people in a thread and then only give it two weeks. It opens the possibility to have a bunch of people from the opposite faction jump into a thread, post slow, and then prevent any missions from the opposite faction from ever completing missions (not saying that's what the intention here was, but it does set a really bad precedent). I mean, in duels with only 2 people, they have two weeks and usually don't finish. For 7 people? Yeah never gonna finish. Food for thought.
I get that but we weren't the ones posting slow we've all been waiting on Sith to post for days and want to move on. That argument might be valid if it was happening but the Sith side takes a week to post per round I don't want to be locked into that.
I'm not saying that's what's happening here, i'm just saying it's something for you guys to think about in the future. I get that you don't want to be locked into that but that doesn't change the fact that it's an impractical time for a thread of this size again, even if it's just for future reference it's something that the FLs for both factions might want to look at. Plus, I don't even know what will happen to the thread now. Seems a bit silly that it's an auto-loss for the Sith as there's nothing that's been done to prevent them completing their mission, but since the thread's barely even underway, there's no evidence of completion of mission either.
*shrug* seems like a rule that might need to be looked at. That might all be beyond this thread though, idk what everyone wants to do with this
I get it. Yeah. I guess my point is that the thread moved slowly because we had a lot of people and some of them would take 2 days to post. Which quickly ate the whole time limit. I'm cool extending it or handwaiving the result with a few final posts. I just don't want us to drag on for weeks and be locked in per agreed upon faction conflict mission rules.
I'm fine with continuing this or just ending it. Doesn't seem like the Sith really want to fight, doesn't seem like some of the Jedi really want to fight.
This really seems to have gone nowhere. I am happy to put together a closing post for the Jedi side and let y'all close it on your end. I'll get something up tonight if all goes well.
