Some training in field medicine prior to identification of agent's disposition toward verbal engagement with hostile parties. Field team leader incapacitated during mission requiring Agent Dryden to take the fore; both the lead and himself were extracted out of harms way. Further development of verbal skill set assigned.
With commissioning of Mirage Class armor, Michael Dryden requested the lighter field armor to better blend in with more urban assignments. After consideration the request was granted to facilitate communications. Missions involving high ranking and high profile sentients will also benefit from the improved aesthetics. Additional training will commence to ensure the field agent is able to handle himself in dangerous situations to compensate for lack of heavy armor.
APPEARANCE
Short, straight black hair usually close to the sides of the head, and a little longer on top. Michael's eyebrows are thin, and gently draw upward away from his nose casting shadows over his steel blue eyes in certain lighting. Below his straight nose is a thin, short goatee that sweeps down over his upper lip, and reconnects along his chin; the rest of his face is clean-shaven whenever circumstances permit.
A regular training regimen keeps Michael's body in fit condition. He has never failed a physical fitness test, and avoids binge eating or drinking -- unless he's in need of carbs to make up for exertion. Given the tendency and need to wear armor, Michael's skin is fairly pale, but there remains some cream coloration from strolls out in marketplaces or parks as time permits.
Given the choice, Dryden prefers more business-like attire than street clothes. The body suit worn under his armor is often worn under other outfits as well to reduce time suiting up. It also affords a small measure of environmental protection (dirt, grime, strange fluids) should something come up off-duty. Meanwhile, for assignments the Mirage Class armor can often be hidden in plain sight due to its subtler nature (compared to heavier Special Operations armor). Not every situation allows wearing the armor as it is far from skin-tight, however.
PERSONALITY
On the clock or not, Dryden is a placid sort with a wry wit. Always mindful of the seriousness of a situation, he doesn't let it deter him from accomplishing the mission objectives. Sometimes it's also necessary to remind people not to get too cocky too.
Ultimately it is people that matter most to Dryden. Not blasters, lightsabers, and ships. Clandestine operations help ensure the stability and continuation of a free, healthy, and happy people -- ideally. But that's not always enough. Clandestine operations didn't feed the hungry, or provide shelter to the destitute. Between assignments Michael often spends his time looking to help whatever community he's in in some fashion. Sometimes that's just a donation to a local charity, or treating some minor injuries. Maybe he can't fix the galaxy, but he could contribute toward the effort.
Socially, Michael enjoys hanging out with other members of the Forces, local enforcement, and pretty much anyone willing to talk. You never know what interesting rumors or intel you'll pick up along the way.
SKILLS
Above basic education, Michael was instructed in field medicine to support the members of his team behind enemy lines. Later his assignment was altered, however, to favor diplomacy, espionage, and infiltration. He still finds opportunities even in his personal life to retain his skill in patching injuries.
When it comes to talking his way out of or into a situation, a dry humor and a knowledge of economics and mechanics often helps disarm tensions. Find something the other party wants and you can usually negotiate a way everyone comes out ahead.
As an operative, Michael has received extensive instruction in various forms of combat including close quarters, melee, pistols, and rifles. Some training in demolitions sufficient to breach and destroy enemy strongholds was also included, but not a primary focus.
The ability to understand Droid or Binary has now and then proven useful as they are often overlooked by mission targets. Likewise, Michael has some skill with slicing to access secure information; though he still benefits from pre-compiled equipment to facilitate extraction in highly secured networks.
ANALYSIS
Dryden's occupation with protecting civilians and team members alike is commendable, but could be used against him in a hostage situation. And while his loyalty and commitment to completing assignments is not in question, his focus is not always on the big picture. While his training has encouraged questioning the motives and means of the Republic's enemies, there have been times his attention turned to his standing orders. So long as the operative continues to function efficiently this may serve to keep Dryden from being used by domestic enemies; no corrective action recommended at this time.
