The training room had very dim lighting. The candles placed around the edges of the room were designed, evidently, to form an eerie atmosphere. In the center of the room, Memoir sat cross-legged, her black robes settling on the ground beside her. Her eyes were closed, though no one could have noticed the difference given the ghastly silver-grey mask she had on. The mask's features suggested a grin, though Memoir knew much better than that... As she waited, Memoir's mind entered a recount of her past. During her 30 years of life, she had become very good at controlling and sharpening her senses, in particular, her mind. Her memories were vivid, life-like almost, and she had learnt to store information in her mind in a way so that it was always accessible.

It was ironic. No matter how much she hated her past, her abilities made it so that they were always a part of her. A constant reminder. There was a reminder from her past now as she sat waiting for the Neophyte assigned to her. Memoir had hated training Padawans when she was a Jedi, but now it was different. As much as she enjoys learning, she finds teaching to be quite a unique experience in itself. However, when she had to take a Padawan with her, it was different. Training a Padawan was not purely teaching a student, it was much more involved and complex. Memoir preferred a simpler and more direct teacher-student relationship, with no further obligations.

While her body was resting, her mind was more active then ever. Eventually, her mind settled on a distant recollection. Her first day of training under a Jedi...

Soul was in his dark room, with a water bottle filled with water he took his mask off as the room was in a pitch black state, none we capable of seeing him as he begun to drink some water, he closed the cap and placed his master on, it really was capable of merging with his face he placed the bottle in his back, and walked out his dark room, closing the door, today he was finally going to begin his training, although he’d prefer Arcane’s wonderful garden, but if it was other then so be it. He was capable of reading thoughts at a basic level, sensing, telepathy, forming a wall around his mind so others were not capable of reading his thoughts although advance people were, it was very rare for him to be able to do this reading thoughts but with proper training he can be amazed, he walked into a door opened it and came inside, it was dark with candle lights around, he looked at his master before shutting the door and speaking to the Master. Of course in telepathy.

Master I see you are going be training me, In the arts of the Wizard, but may I ask what will I be learning so I be knowing and looking foreword to for the heads up, It is rare for me asking random questions but of that I do so still. Master?

At the end of the Message when he had said master? He wanted her name but one does not give a name before giving his or her’s first, but of course she or him knew his, due to him being on the roster, Soul, but it was also highly unlikely seeing as there were many people with Codenames.

I am Soul, Master?

He questioned yet again, in a telepathic message.

Memoir had opened her eyes from her meditative state before Soul had reached the door. She had sensed him coming, and now slowly stood up, her back still facing the Neophyte. She chuckled silently to herself. Here was an eager one... Memoir laughed to herself. Eagerness was good. Eagerness meant a willing and hungry student. Memoir would prefer an eager student to a student with perfect manners any time of the day. She turned around now, her silvery-grey mask becoming visible in the dim candle-lights. With the appearance of a haunting grin, Memoir fully faced her charge.

My name is Memoir. She replied telepathically, her tone rather more cheerful than usual. Greetings... Soul.

Memoir stepped forward, examining the Neophyte more closely now. What you will be learning depends on your capabilities. It also obviously depends on what you wish to learn. Knowledge thrust on one is no way to teach, it is a two-way road after all. She paused for a moment, then continued. Before I am certain of what to teach you, tell me, what are you capable of, and what do you believe to be your strengths and weaknesses?

He ran his mind into her mind, and only gasped some words she took, damn his limited mind net working capabilities he needed to improve more. As she spoke in telepathy he reconciled the voice as a she and his mask formed a smile not some originally smile but his mask form a type of small, like if there was lips there and smiled at her gently before they reformed back to a black mask. It was indeed a bit creepy but he has never meant a female of such detention yet alone a Sister among the brothers. He made a rustically bow out of randomness before he entered her mind and spoke, still having his wall up to protect his mind if she tried or had the ability to read minds.

Master, It is a pleasure to meet a Sister of this Order, As for what I am capable of doing, few to limited options, Lightsaber combat sucks which I wish to improve later, Telepathy, force Sense, and a nerfy power that All of us have, well not you but what I mean all of us, never mind. None the less, I also wish to improve mind reading I heard your thoughts, and you seemed I was eager indeed I am in some sort of sense, but I am a capable student.I wish to be Highly adapt in the arts of the Wizard, and have at least some knowledge of combat, other then that, I wish to focus, wizard training, I am already a Highly skilled free runner.I apologize for opening up so much towards you.

He said telepathic.

A wise choice perhaps, the path of a Wizard. Memoir said, not amused or displeased that the Neophyte had attempted to enter her mind. She saw the mind of a living being as dangerous ground, no matter who they were. Her gifts were more suited to other... activities. First of all, I will introduce you to defensive force powers. Memoir said, her eyes focusing intently on the Neophyte before her. I will teach you how to utilise and conjure such shields, then, you will need to apply them in practical situations.

Memoir stepped backwards, and raised her left hand. Focus on the force within and moving around you, hold onto it, then move it to the surfaces of your skin. Hold it there, and focus onto it intensely. Your concentration must stay vigilent, a failure at this stage would undoubtedly lead to serious harm.

Once she was sure that Soul understood her fully, Memoir would then begin the stage of practical training. She would hurl force pulses of initially weak prowess, and they would gradually increase in potency until the final pulse. If unguarded, the final force pulse would likely smash into Soul with strength that would be able to knock him unconcscious.

He looked at her and smiled yet the impulse came at quick motion. He opened his hand and did as he was told connection on the force he manged absorb the attacks some of it and store it for power, he had to keep using abosrb at the time to see if there was stopping power between the pulse before he took out his other hand and quickly begun to genetic a insane chaotic black hand, he was using the stored power to use an attack called Force Defend.

It was basically the same thing as Absorb, he reduce the damaged and used his other hand to absorb the stored energy, this was making him drain and gain energy back. After doing this he would simply hold both his hands out forming and block, before letting out a barrier shaped thing around himself, and enraging his arms out to send the impulse back at her, with a stronger force once all this techniques he had done were finished, he dropped to one knee and spoke telepathy.

This is well suited, so this are basic Shield techniques are there advance ones? And will we learn supplement and Offside to? You are a good teacher but if those were stronger I would not be standing I would be knocked out.

He said Telepathically.

Memoir raised her hand slowly, and the reflected force pulse crumbled against her own force shield. She smiled, she expected just as much. Hardly displeased, she was glad that Soul was taking the initiative to learn further other than simply following her instructions. Smirking she walked forward and helped the Neophyte to his feet. A good teacher knows how to push their students to their best capabilities. Picture this, I taught you this skill using the most minute of force pulses. What will happen when you utilise this skill in a practical situation for the first time? I am no cruel Bogan, but I do expect my students to step up to the challenge. Memoir said. You did well Soul, I'm impressed.

She thought about whether to instruct Soul in more advanced Tutaminis right now or to leave it to later. Memoir decided that it would be better to save it for later, as other important facets of the force were still required to be taught. There is, but I will instruct you in the skill after we move through the other abilities. Your progression will depend on your own proficiency and capabilities as a student. Memoir said firmly. Now, the force powers that I had taught you previously were not aligned to any particular side of the force. What I am going to instruct you in now is what the Jedi like to call 'The Dark Side'. I personally do not believe this to be the truth, given that it is dependent on the force-sensitives themselves to act accordingly. We here at the Order generally hold no such... restrictions.

Memoir paused for effect, and continued. I will first teach you force lightning as it is a particularly potent power. I hold a special... affection for this ability. It is extremly versatile, and when used in conjunction with other powers in particular situations, the capabilities of it are quite spectacular. Do you wish to learn this ability?

He listened carefully and nodded his head, in a motion to saying yes, hopefully she understood it was well he was going to be the first to know such things and maybe more later on and pass them the knowledge to his students, he smiled and spoke in telepathy but backing up.

Thank you master for helping me up, and yes, I do wish to learn this.

He said in telepathy slowly.

Very well... Memoir thought, stepping backwards and closing her eyes. She could sense every minute detail in the room, the force currents weaving through the two force-sensitives. Picture yourself in a barren plain, not a single living thing in sight. The trees are dead, the long and unruly grass is yellow. You don't give a single damn. A storm is brewing, and excitment rushes up beneath you. The first of the lightning bolts strikes the ground in synchronisation with the roar o0f the thunder. Perhaps you are tentative, but that is fine. As each lightning bolt strikes the ground, more power swells within you. Eventually, you cannot hold the force in any longer. As though as if they read your mind, the remaining lightning bolts descend from the sky, shooting towards you from all angles. They strike you at the same time, and finally you have the power! She said, animatedly.

Memoirs' eyes opened suddenly, the dark orbs coming into activity as though as if surrounded by eldritch lightning. Raising both her hands, webs of lightning gather around her fingers, seeming uncontrollable but still kept in check. Finally, after gathering it for as long as she could, Memoir flung the web and chains of lightning against a statue embedded in the wall. Grinning viciously, Memoir turned towards Soul, sparks of lightning still visible on her hands.

Try it, and taste the sweet embrace of power! She seemingly roared in her mind, unnaturally out of tune with her normally calmer self.

Soul listened and spoke. in a telepathic message.

Very well watch me shine.

He said in a telepathic message.

As he listened he took one hand beaning to connection on the force, the finger tips of his right hand turned green, as for his other hand turned dark green, he was not aware of what he was doing with his left seeing as he was focused with his right, he sent the lightning at the wall, the Lightning was of a rare color, not white or blue, but green it hit the wall and he released it, as for his other hand he motioned it and moved it up, suddenly the ground below them jerked a bit as wind begun to picked up, a small explosion shock wave happened around them, as Soul had created a small version of Force Storm, and a weaker one at that, not only did the lightning explode near her hopefully she manged to block the attack or absorb at this, not only did this cause him to drop to one knee to the drain, but also sent back flying at the wall due to the after wind of the effect. his black gloved hand blacken as he spoke in telepathy.

What did I just do, aside from force lightning, and I see I would need to get a glove now, a new one at that if I must not be correct.

He said slowly and suddenly as he would then, stand up weakling trying regain his heath, this was radical cool what he did yet he had no idea what he had down.

Once again, Memoir raised her hand, and the miniature lightning storm conjured by Soul was absorbed. Watching Soul get flung backwards by the uncontrolled storm, Memoir frowned. Well done Neophyte, but might I recommend displaying extreme caution when utilising any facet of Force Lightning? As beautiful as it is, you must always remember that it is a killer, ever potent. She walked forward, looking at the recovering Neophyte.

Experimenting is important, but don't ever be reckless. Jumping out ahead in learning can often lead to weaker base knowledge. The fundamentals are the most important, the advanced will follow given that you have learnt the basics correctly. Do you understand?

Soul looked and sighed before nodding in understanding. And getting up learning on the wall his breaths were not heard, mostly because he made himself have no mouth at the current time, but he was radically tried that wouldn't stop him, they had a a whole day ahead, he spoke in telepathy.

Master, I understand, what will we be learning next.

He asked slowly.

Memoir thought about this. Now that Soul had learned aspects of both offensive and defensive force abilities, it was time for him to learn to use a lightsaber adequately. She knew that he intended to follow the path of a Sorcerer like herself, but it was still important to be competent enough to defend yourself against another saber user. If you could not survive the first onslaught of lightsaber strikes against you, you would not be able to unleash your own onslaught through the force.

Tell me Soul. Do you have any knowledge of the Lightsaber forms? If you do, is there a particular form that you wish to endeavour in? If not, I will choose one that I deem most sensible for you. Memoir said cooly, one hand held up in thought.

He looked at her and nodded before speaking in telepathy.

Master I do, Shi-Chi, form one. If this is at best, I assume you will be teaching me how to use the form and then at the end, we spar, and go more on Force Related.

He asked slowly in telepathy.

Memoir nodded. Perhaps the most simple of forms would be the most suitable for him, given Soul's evident main interest in force applications ratehr than Lightsaber usage. She smiled, the mention of Form I brought memories rushing back. Shii-Cho, the form every Jedi or in her case, ex-Jedi would know. Being in a room full of other younglings, eagerly waving their training sabers about. Memoir snorted, though she couldn't deny that those memories were rather fond ones. Raising her right hand, one of her two shoto hilts appeared in her palm. Igniting it, the silver beam emerged, illuminating more of her body. Memoir had no training emote available, but Soul was evidently no youngling. She would teach Shii-Cho as a legitimate saber form, not simply for use as a training course.

Memoir waited for Soul to activate his own lightsaber. Only then would she begin.

Soul looked at her and tried to enter her mind by surprise, if not seen he would read a few memories he can gasp, and then get away, seeing as she never closed her mind he looked at her and waved his robe taking his hilt, and pressing the button allowing the sliver light to emerge. As that was done he would then slowly.Get in a Shi-Cho I basic form Stance and begin to speak. In telepathy

Shall we begin, or shall you you explain the methods Although I won’t really care, although it might save my life, in a couple thousands of years, in combat, But I enjoy the Wizard magic, it’s the most strongest weapon in the world, the Force and Magic, but let’s resume this also, keep your mind closed at this time, I may use this to my adaptive, while we spar, although me telling you this, will most likely won’t happen seeing as you will close your mind so you won’t be predicable.

Memoir raised her eyebrow and laughed telepathically. Reading my mind is one thing, being able to counter my attacks in time before I strike is another. Being able to read one's mind is nearly inconsequential if the lightsaber skill between the combatants are too different. Seeing where I will attack is inconsequential if you cannot react in time to avoid it. Take lightsaber combat seriously Neophyte, it's your shield, the force is your weapon.

Holding out her lightsaber, Memoir looked at her hilt as though as if considering it. Entering a series of slashes and sweeps, she spoke as she went through the motions. Shii-Cho, simple but powerful. Understanding the contact zones and being able to take advantage of striking and parrying angles is crucial. It is named the Determination form for a reason. Through persistence, you will defeat your enemies.

After she had drilled Soul through the techniques and applications of Shii-Cho, Memoir closed her mind off from Soul completely as a test. Now come at me, and don't try to use force techniques onto me at the moment. She said. Stepping backwards into the dark, only the silver lightsaber visible.

Going over the drills were boring. The force was not as she got into the dark corner, he looked at her, he focused on her, mind and entered it, upon doing so he found nothing, she had blocked her mind so he would not be able to get in, dammit, now he was hopeless, having his wall up still from the beginning, he got in a Shi-Chi I form stance, and charged at her, upon coming at her, he hoped to make his movement quicker but was incapable of doing it at the current time, so in doing so he slashed veritably, at her upper right corner, towards the collarbone, chest down to slice her in open, hoping it would work, which won't he knew that much, if she blocked his lightsaber light he would quickly deactivate his lightsaber, and active at the immediate motive after she blocked it if she choose to, and let it out, to try and slash her stomach, this was a surprise attack, if tried to attack him, he would try at the best of his abidingly to block her strikes.

Memoir held a single shoto in her right hand, her left hand was empty for now, as she was drilling Soul in Shii-Cho. Watching Soul charge up towards her, Memoir quickly moved her left foot in alignment with her right foot so that she was now standing side on to Soul. Having side-stepped the direct slash, Memoir held up her shoto defensively. After all, she was not aiming to kill or defeat her Neophyte, she was guiding him. Forcibly defeating him swiftly would hardly be teaching. A shoto's strength is it's easily manoeuvrable length of the blade, and sweeping it upwards vertically, Memoir blocked the second slash aimed towards her stomach.

She knew that she needed to drill Soul's defense too. Memoir drove her right foot forward, slashing horizontally across where Soul's midsection should be. Memoir had adjusted her lightsaber to it's lowest power-setting, so in the case of actual contact, the lightsaber was not a threat. It was only a probing strike, so Memoir immediately returned to her original stance, her eyes focusing on Souls' movements.

He looked at her and spoke in his mind Damn! He moved backwards, and moved back to block the strike before carefully jumping back for distance she was smart and he was not aware. He waited patiently.
