The Zabrak seemed surprised that this teenage girl managed to block his attack, he was almost certain he would have had her dead to rights. Thankfully, for both Kai and Isabella, he seriously underestimated the young girl. The Zabrak attempted to pushed down on both blades while Isabella gathered up the Force and shoved him back in an impressive display of strength through the Force. Grunting as he stumbled back, bringing up his guard again, the Zabrak gave Isabella a toothy grin as he stared at her, almost as though he were peering into her soul to read everything about her. It was in no way a comforting stare.

"I see you have some talent," he almost hissed out as he brought his lightsaber into both of his hands, drawing on the dark side of the Force. "That is unexpected, but not necessarily, unwelcome. Why don't you join with me and learn true power?!" He asked, clearly being overly dramatic as he stepped in again, swinging twice at Isabella's head, more attempting to quickly batter down her defenses and weaken her so she could easily be killed or captured. And it needed to happen before Kai recovered. Even now, the dark-haired Jedi master was blinking the stars out of his eyes as he struggled to get to his feet. Seeing this, the Zabrak new that he needed to act quickly, otherwise he'd be in a fight against two Jedi instead of one, and he didn't like those odds. "Join me, strike down your master, Padawan, and become more powerful than you can possibly imagine!"

Isabella saw his surprise as she kept her guard up seemingly realizing that it had worked before so she would continue to defend her and her master no matter what. Honestly this sith had something nuts in his head because he was quite an oddball.. but a very powerful one. One that Isabella clearly disliked. She noticed him grinning thinking he needed to brush his teeth as they were black. She then let out a glare as she felt him in her head. "Get out of my head!" She demanded fearlessly and strongly.

She scoffed at his dramatic remark and question as she stood in a more ready position before responding. "I'll never join you. Power means nothing. Power is useless and childish. The light side is where I shall stay." She said her eyes narrowing again. There was no way she would ever betray the Jedi. His next move, she ducked under one swing and blocked his next pushing his saber back and then sending back her own strike. "I'll never betray my master. I'd rather be captured than gaining power and joining you." She said firmly. She wasn't budging. She then spun taking another chance to strike at his torso and head at the same time.

"Why?" He questioned her demand, "Afraid I'll find something you don't like? Something you want to keep hidden?" His eyes narrowed as his grin widened. "Perhaps something you don't want your precious master finding out about?!" The Zabrak didn't know if that was true, but he was certainly hoping to have struck a nerve with Isabella. The forceful remark she had made to him almost begged him to push her, to see what he could get her to do, to see if he could get her to use her anger. "I'm sure your master would be interested to know the sort of things bouncing around in that young head of yours!"

Frowning a little as Isabella refused to join him, the Zabrak shrugged, "You are young an naive child. How can you possibly know the true strength of the Force when you haven't been alive long enough to kiss a boy or feel the pain of love and loss! Power is everything, and the true road to power is through the dark side of the Force!" As he attacked he studied the girl's defense as she replied that she would never betray her master, and would rather be captured than to turn. By now Kai was recovered enough to hear what Isabella was saying, and that caused him to smile. Dodging back out of range from the Padawan's twin strikes, the Zabrak picked up the piece of metal that had slammed into Kai and threw it at Isabella's back whilst he swung his lightsaber at her, attempting to split her from groin to neck.

"I've already told him everything about me. There is nothing about me he doesn't know." She said only telling truth. Isabella knew he was trying to push her to his side, she wouldn't budge. She kept her cool as she noticed the sith was being a complete maniac looking the way he was. He was sure intimidating, but she never backed down from what she was doing.

She scoffed when he said she didn't know what loss was. She responded firmly still keeping calm. "You obviously don't know me, because if you truly went through my head, you'd know that my parents were taken by sith like you before I could walk or talk. They were murdered for being Jedi, even though they had left the war." She fired back at him narrowing her eyes more. "Plus I have known the love of a boy and he betrayed me. I have moved on and I will never go back to who I was. I am a Jedi as my parents were before me and I will train in the ways of the lightside."

Isabella saw as he dodged her attack and sensed death nearby, but had a plan to avoid it. She felt and heard the metal fragment and lightsaber coming towards her and she made the only move she could. Isabella jumped into the air doing a backflip, but little did she know she was a little off and the metal and lightsaber came in contact with her skin, the metal scraping her left arm up and the saber leaving a long scratch from her knee to her ankle "Gah!!!" She landed on the ground perfectly but fell backwards as she mainly landed on the scratched leg. Isabella wouldn't give up though. She stood up getting into a ready position again with a very firm glare going from her eyes to his showing no fear. At this point, she had already dared him to capture her.. what would be his move?

"Too young to know, darling Jedi! If they were stolen from you before you could walk or talk, how can you remember them? Why would you care? How would you know what it felt like?" The Zabrak's voice was smooth even as he fought her, not breaking or wavering or showing any sign of strain. "You're just a little girl, what you call love is a cute thing, as fleeting and as beautiful as the petals of an autumn flower. Wait until you become a woman, then you will learn the true pain of love!" He cackled at this, ignoring her remark about being a Jedi like her parents. He was just trying to provoke her, to get her to act out in anger so that he could show her what her anger could do.

Seeing that his attack had worked somewhat, the Zabrak grinned when he heard Isabella gasp. He followed up his attack with three more attacks, never giving Isabella a chance to catch her breath. It would be a slash for her head, then for her scraped left arm, then her wounded leg. Each attack would be fast and vicious as though he were bullying the young Jedi Padawan. Gathering up the Force, the Zabrak launched another attack at her midsection, following this up with a powerful Push with the Force hoping to pin Isabella to the wall where he would slowly start strangling the life out of her.

By now, Kai was recovered enough from the blow to his head. Naturally, there was a painful throbbing still, and he wanted nothing more than to take a moment and rub his temples and to catch his breath, but he knew he could have none of that here at the moment. Instead, his eyes saw the Zabrak barreling into his apprentice, trying to beat her down into submission, and he knew he had to act. Drawing his blade again, Kai lept into battle.

Isabella was panting at this point and she had enough of this sith. He had beat her to a pulp and she had enough. She stared at him keeping the same firm glance and responded. "I only now about them because an old family member told me. Plus its none of a sith's business. I would have known what it felt like because I had nobody for 13 years until my master came around. I'm not only a little girl. I've been through more than you know and I'm not afraid of you as I have dealt with many like you." She snapped back at him. "I will never know love because it is my choice. The only love I'll feel is the one I have chosen to have in my life." She said staying calm.

Seeing his grin Isabella knew he was about to do something crazy and let the light build within her once more as she closed her eyes, the force guided her sabers blocking all three of his attacks, only one of them nicking her injured arm which made her open her eyes but she let out no grunt. He then force pushed her backwards into a concrete wall which her head was forced to be slammed up against causing her to knock out. The only thing she saw, was her master racing up to the sith to engage into the battle.

Hearing Isabella's words caused something to spark inside of Kai. An affection for his Padawan that grew much brighter and warmer. It felt like a realization, that he meant that much to her was both comforting, reassuring, and empowering. Letting Isabella's declaration ring through his mind, Kai gathered up the lightside of the Force to attack their aggressor. Calmly, Kai reached out, gripping the Zabrak with the Force, and ripping him away from where Isabella had been pinned up against the wall. The Zabrak slammed with great momentum into the wall down at the far end of the corridor. It wouldn't be enough to kill the alien, but it would be enough to stun him for a few seconds. Long enough for Kai to check on his injured Padawan. Rushing up to her, Kai knelt to where she had slumped down off the wall. "Isabella, Isabella, it's me, it's Kai, are you okay?" He asked bringing a hand up to her face to feel her presence through the Force. She was still alive, thank goodness. He hadn't been out for that long.

Inhaling, Kai stood up and faced the Zabrak. "You attacked my apprentice," he said calmly. His voice was almost too calm, scary calm, the kind of calm which belied the raging storm that gathered beneath it. "You injured her," Kai said, his voice straining, but not breaking to reveal how he really felt, which was to string this Zabrak up and make an example out of him. Exhaling slowly, Kai focused himself and let go of his emotions. Stepping forward with his blade up, Kai waited for the Zabrak to stand so they could engage him. The Jedi master wanted to buy Isabella time, just in case didn't go too well for him, he wanted to give her a chance to recover, and that was exactly what he was going to do. "You and me, Zabrak."

Isabella had been knocked out cold when her head hit the wall. She was definite that she would have scrapes that left scars on her back. Next thing she knew, Kai had come to help her as she suddenly dropped to the floor, landing on her knees and quickly to her side and she looked as if she were in a sleeping position. She had woken up enough to open her eyes when her master came to her side. She felt his hand on her face and she moved her own to put her hand on his as he asked if she was ok. "Master, I-I'm ok.." She whispered still a little weak.

Her hand then moved back to her side as he got up to face the sith. She heard every word he said and it made her more confident than she was before. She pushed herself up onto her elbows and looked back to see that Kai was between her and the sith. She noticed as the sith got up, igniting his lightsaber to come at Kai.

At this point, Isabella had been trying her best to just get up, but kept falling. Her head throbbed as she finally was able to get off the ground and she was close enough to the wall to use it as support. The Zabrak had charged at Kai and took his first swing to his head. Isabella looked down to see her two sabers on the ground and she bent down slowly to pick them up being careful to not fall over again. She used the force to help her stay standing as that was the entire reason she was standing was due to the force helping her and encouraging her somehow to get up. Having enough force within her, she ignited her lightabers and would help Kai take down this monster, Master and Apprentice.

It was good to hear Isabella's voice, Kai was almost worried that he lost her to the Zabrak dark sider. Only for a moment of course before he realized she was still alived as those big bright blue eyes opened and stared up at him. The touch was reassuring, having her hand against him told him she wasn't any immediate danger anymore. Exhaling slowly, Kai felt so much better knowing that Isabella was alright. He wasn't sure if she was good enough to fight, but he'd let her make that choice herself. Nodding at her, he gave her a smile, "Good. Get on your feet Isabella, my dear, we have a job to do."

As the Zabrak charged at Kai, the Jedi master readied himself, his body relaxed as his muscles waited to tense at the last moment. Behind him, he could sense his Padawan standing and drawing on the Force. In truth she probably should have taken another moment or two to recover more, but he could feel the drive inside her, the need to come to his side and fight by him. It filled him up with confidence and a small amount of pride.

Just as the Zabrak attacked his head, Kai sprung into motion and jumped off to the side dodging the attack, and bringing his blade up for any follow up attacks that the Zabrak might attempt. As the Zabrak moved on by, Kai would wait for the perfect opening in his defenses before unleashing a barrage of strikes at his back. Kai waited, beheld the moment, then quickly moved through a series of rapidly excited, and well-timed strikes forcing the Zabrak to turn to defend himself or otherwise be impaled. On the side Kai could see Isabella stand up and ignite her lightsabers, rushing in to attack. Now the Zabrak would be fighting on both sides.

Isabella ran forward taking her one lightsaber to plunge into the Zabrak's heart. Her attack was blocked but she had a counter attack as she spun, slicing his leg open and cutting his hand off. The sith had deserved it after what he did to both of the Jedi. The force generated a new strength in her that helped her be quicker and more harsh than before.

She watched as the Zabrak screamed in pain to losing his hand and she sensed his guard was down and she took another strike at him, before she knew that she was force pushed backwards from him as her sabers were two inches away from slicing his head off. She landed a few feet away, the scrapes on her back buring from sliding on the ground. She clenched her jaw as she took no time in getting up and started running back at the sith with another strike to his head. Instead he ducked as he threw a strike at the Jedis' feet and Isabella luckily jumped over it trying to sever his other arm off, but was blocked again. She continued pulling strikes on him with Kai hoping to defeat the fool right on the spot.

Isabella's counter attack worked perfectly in sync with Kai's own attacks. Together they double teamed the Zabrak, catching him off guard, and Isabella, whether it was through sheer luck or skill (perhaps both) managed go cut off his hand. Surprisingly, the Zabrak managed to gather up enough rage and hate that he threw Isabella back. Her attacks distracted him so much that he completely missed Kai's follow up attacks as he ran his lightsaber through the shoulder of his still good sword arm. If he tried to fight beyond that, Kai would have no choice but to cut him in half at the waist and let him die of shock.

With the Zabrak defeated, Kai summoned his lightsaber to his hand so he would not be able to use it in some last ditch attempt to strike them down. Walking up to Isabella, he put a hand on her slender but muscular shoulder and smiled at her. "You did well," he said before wrapping her in a tight hug, almost like he never wanted to let her go. "I'm glad."

Isabella blocked one last attack from him as his lightsaber suddenly fell to the ground along with half of his shoulder. She backed up to avoid the falling saber, as she could have been nicked by it. Finally, the sith was defenseless and was struck down by her master. Once that happened, she deactivated her sabers, putting them back on her belt as she then felt the pain registering again in her small and skinny but tall frame.

Isabella's back was straight and she was staring down to where the sith had fallen. She was happy the Zabrak was finally dead. She then looked up as Kai came over putting his hand on her shoulder complimenting on how well she fought. "Thank you. I was mainly defending you. There was no way I could have let him kill you." She obviously had gotten the same thought as him as they hugged each other tightly. She buried her face into his shoulder clearly not letting go. She felt comfortable where she was and didn't budge. She heard him say that he was glad and she gave a slight nod before replying in a muffled response due to her face being in his shoulder. "Me too."

"You did a good job of it... I wouldn't have let him kill you either. You mean too much to me," he whispered back into her ear with a smile as he continued to hold her close. Kai wasn't sure how long they stood there embracing each other before they separated. He left his apprentice with a fatherly peck on the cheek and another tossle of her brown hair to show her his gratitude and affection for his young friend. Whatever Kai and Isabella were or became, he knew they'd always be friends. With another cheerful smile, Kai motioned for Isabella to follow him. Handing her the Zabrak's lightsaber he remarked, "Here, a momento of our first fight against a dark sider together. Now, let's see what else this place has to offer, yes?"

Walking deeper into the facility, Kai made their way to what he guessed was a sort of control area. He wondered if this was the place that Isabella had mentioned earlier. The place where she felt she was being pulled by the Force. "There might be some more information around here, my dear, we should look to see if we can find something."

Isabella smiled hearing him say that. She felt that they had become very close quite quickly and she thought of him to be a father to her. Once he let her go, she felt his small kiss on her cheek which caused her to smile as she looked at him when he pulled away. When he motioned for her to follow, she was immediately at his side, walking with him. As he handed the Zabrak's lightsaber to her, her eyes widened with awe in seeing a saber and holding one from a different side of the force. The hilt of the saber was curved and that made her curious. "Wow. Thank you Mas- I mean Kai." She giggled when she corrected herself. "And yes, I think it would be a good idea to continue on. Let's just hope there are no more sith. And also hope that the feeling of the Darkside is just the guy we killed and not something else..." She said another shiver going through her spine as she then hooked the Sith's saber on her left side of the belt.

When they emerged into what looked like a control area, Isabella nodded when she felt the force the strongest here. Just what was trying to get her attention? "Yeah, there might be something useful if the force is truly leading us in the right direction. I sense something is here, this is definitely what I was being drawn to.. but I dont know what to..." She replied to his comment as she ran her fingers over a dusty counter like control panel.

Isabella's smile was like pure gold, laughter captured in a moment, if he were ten years younger his heart would have fluttered, assuming he was still aware of girls at that age (he wasn't). For now, though, Kai would be happy just to marvel at the smile of the young girl and the power it seemed to have. After a few seconds of rather unabashed staring, he blinked, grinning as he chuckled, and patted her head again. Placing his lightsaber on his waist, Kai was more than overjoyed to see Isabella's reaction when he offered her the lightsaber they had taken. Truth be told, Kai was a little worried about her reaction, he was worried she wouldn't want to take the item of a dark sider. But in his mind, it was her trophy, a momento to remind her of what they did there today. With some cleansing meditation, she could remove any taint from the lightsaber and use it in the future. He would need to remember to tell her about that once they finished here. "I'm glad you like it... and don't dwell on your anxieties, Isabella. Keep your focus here and now. If there is another trap you don't want your mind distracted when it's sprung. I need you in the moment with me right now."

As they emerged into the control room the master looked around for a moment as Isabella took a step further inside. "Don't doubt yourself, my dear friend, if the Force is where you feel it's leading us, then this is where it's leading us. You're young but exceptionally strong in the Force and talented with it. I trust your judgment, you just need to as well," he added with a wink. Looking through some of the things left out, Kai found a datapad which was unsecured. Reading through it, Kai realized that it was orders. Humming to himself he started scanning the computers to see what the last things that had been done on them were. "You find anything, Izzy, dear?"

The stare between them seemed to stay there for a few minutes before Kai broke the silence and patted her on the head again. She loved it when he smiled. When he had handed her the lightsaber, seeing how interested she was to have i, she sensed his little bit of worry and gave him a small reassuring smile. She looked at him listening to what he was saying and nodded. "I understand." She said simply. Isabella understood why he was telling her that, as for one, it was a master's job to make sure their apprentices were never hurt, but also to make sure they were focused on what was happening and she can admit that she wasn't exactly on page with the last fight.

Isabella smiled again after he finished saying that she'd have to trust where the force was leading them. "If you trust me, then I trust me." She aid winking back to him. She then turned around and started going towards where the force was leading her. As she got closer and closer to the source, she realized that it was a large stand-up lockbox. She dusted off the door to find the keypad so she could open it. She finally found it and then used the force to figure out what the number code was to open it up. She soon got it and she heard the lock pop open and she smiled as she opened the door. Inside, there was a droid which Isabella reached for her saber if it did anything. Keeping her hands on her sabers, she quickly took one off to find her flashlight to look inside. Yep, there was definitely a droid but there was something else.. and it was wooden and glowing at it's seams. She picked the box up and opened it. Inside it held three lightsabers and multiple Kaiburr Crystals. "Actually, I did find something..." She said taking the box over to Kai. She sensed movement behind her, realizing it was the droid not realizing it had a blaster, she turned around very quickly drawing her one pistol and shot it straight in the chest, deactivating it. She then holstered the pistol and walked the rest of the way over to Kai and showed the box to him.

There seemed to be something between Isabella and Kai, something special, not that Kai minded; he just felt there was something different about Isabella than normal, though he couldn't quite put his finger in it. Nodding back to her when she told him she understood, he let out a little breath, feeling a bit better about the whole situation. The master felt he could trust his young student to do this one thing for him. He knew that she wouldn't disappoint him; she seemed so eager to please, so eager to make sure he was proud of her. It made him smile a little more when she told him that she would trust herself if he did and gave him a wink. "Welp, I'm glad to hear that. It's good to know one person takes my opinion seriously," Kai chuckled as he teased the girl.

In the command center, Kai turned about suddenly hearing blaster fire to see Isabella holding a box having just fired her sidearm. Frowning, he gave Isabella a look, not a disapproving one, but one that told her to be more careful. Peaking inside, the young dark-haired man would see the lightsabers and the kaiburr crystals. Frowning, he took one put and examined. Kai wasn't a geologist or a jeweler, so he could not be able to see if it was real or not, but his instincts told him they were. "What do you think?" Kai asked, "Better yet, what does the Force tell you, young one? What do you think these are for?" Picking up one of the data pads he started to flip through it to see if there was a hint in there.

Isabella knew there was something they had and she guessed this is what the master/apprentice bond was. She would never let him down and she had a great respect for him, even when he got a little bit upset with her. It was honestly natural and she knew that. If she ever had the two choices of betraying her master or dying to protect him, she would have chosen to die for him instead. That's just who she was. "I'd always take your opinions seriously. Opinions are n important part of life. If we never had opinions we would be pointless. Literally." She said shrugging her shoulders slightly.

Isabella saw his look, one she recognized the most as she was a reckless student at points, but it seemed to be in her blood. She returned a look back that said sorry. When Isabella looked back to the box, she ran her hand over the smooth sanded and stained wood that had intricate designs carved into it. She saw as Kai looked into the box, pulling one of the crystals out to look at it. Isabella thought about his question before closing her eyes asking the force to tell her what these Kaiburr crystals were for and why they were calling out to her. There was a small breeze by her left ear which felt comforting but it made her jump not exactly expecting to feel or hear what she heard. She didn't even realize when she went into a brief vision.

She saw a woman who she thought she knew and recognized but couldn't find the name. But she felt.. related in a way. Like she had known this person all along. The woman was in her traditional Jedi robes and she was partly translucent with a warm glow around her. Who was she?? She felt... almost motherly to the young Padawan. "They call out to you for a reason my dear child. Yes, these crystals are truly real. They are the crystals stolen from lightsabers of the people who came to investigate and disappeared. Many of which by a sith." The woman said with an echoing voice. Isabella looked around panicked to not see Kai, but an old classic Jedi Temple that had two ramps going around the sides of where there was a floating spherical object. "My dear, there is no reason to be afraid. Your master is fine. You are fine." The woman said. Isabella looked at her confused.
View attachment 2371
"Who are you? I feel I know you but this doesn't make any sense. I mean I believe what you say, but I thought this temple was demolished." She replied to the translucent lady standing now next to her and Isabella flinched slightly not knowing what to think of her. "Yes the Temple was demolished, my child. This is not but a vision. You may have never known me, but I will always be with you. May the force be with you always, Isabella dear..." She then disappeared along with everything else and the dim-lighted command room appeared again and Isabella saw her master almost relieved. "I saw it all.. the crystals are real. They truly are. They were taken from people who came here and they were stored here kept hidden from the Jedi." Isabella said somewhat in a whisper, but loud enough for Kai to hear. "I-I had my first vision.." She said.

Laughing, Kai shook his head, placing a hand on her shoulder and giving it a gentle squeeze like he was known to do. "Isabella, you're quite smart for your age, ya know that? I'm glad you see it that way, though, it makes it a little better for me to know you have an open mind." He gave her a smirk as he removed his hand before they moved on.

When Isabella returned from her first vision, Kai was almost ecstatic, he was worried as he had no idea what was really going on with her. When she told him that the crystals were real and that they were taken from people and hidden from the Jedi, the master frowned. "Huh, I see. You know from whom they were taken or why?" His voice trailed off when she said she had her first vision. "Isabella, that's a very serious milestone. We should talk about it..." Looking at her wounds he frowned even more. "We need to get those wounds looked at, I'm surprised you're still walking right now, dear. I think we have enough information for now. Let's go back to the ship so I can patch you up. On our way there you can tell me about this vision you had?" Kai took the datapad and downloaded any data off the control computers that he could before turning to Isabella and signaling for her to follow him. "Alright, I'm guessing you know those things you said from your vision? What did you see exactly?"

"I've been told before. Imperials always thought I was too smart for them, which everytime they caught me, they'd get so frustrated they let me go." She said giggling. Isabella smiled at him when she saw his smirk.

When she awoke from the vision and looked at him, she saw the look on his face, shed had a confused wide-eyed on her own face. She then shook her head at his question. "Yes and no. She only knew that the crystals were stolen from the order by sith. That's the only light we have on that issue." She said frowning a little. The image of the woman still remained in her head and she still wondered who it was.. She swallowed when he mentioned that visions were a very serious milestone. She then followed his glance to her wounds and covered her left shoulder with her hand where there was a cross scratched into her arm due to the sith throwing metal at her arm and then cutting at the shoulder leaving a mark that looked like a cross. "They don't hurt that bad." She said as she looked down to her swollen leg suddenly her remark being shown as stubbornness. She sighed giving a small smirk giving up for once. "I just hope it's not broken. I wouldn't be surprised though. I've had a broken leg without help to fix it, but I hope it didn't stick out any further. And I think talking about the vision could possibly help." She said as she started to follow him to the ship.

"I remember everything from it. It first started when I felt a breeze on my ear and then woke up in a completely different place where I saw someone. I think I know her, I feel something familiar with her but I have no idea who she was. Anyway, she told me that the crystals had called out to me for a reason and that the crystals are real and that they were taken by individuals who were sent to investigate and later disappeared. Mostly by sith people. She then saw as I was looking around in fear when I didn't see you and she told me that I was fine and that you were fine. As I looked around, I found that I was in the Grand Jedi Temple. One of which I had heard been demolished. When I said that, she confirmed that I was correct to remember that it was. I remember her voice echoed off the walls. She was like a memory or a ghost. She had then said that it was nothing but a vision and that I may not remember her or ever know her, but that she'd be with me forever. After that, the Temple and the lady disappeared along with the vision back to here. I can't say how releaved I was to see you again. I didn't understand who the lady was at all." She explained almost reliving the vision as she spoke.
