Now that war has officially broke out between the Eurasian Alliance and the Commonwealth of Free States, Italy and her government have seen it a necessity to deploy their forces throughout the nation and the surrounding area. For now, Italy shall maintain a strict defensive policy, preparing for an offensive from the east. This is a purely subjective policy and is open to change should the need arise.

President Lombardi has appointed Francisco Barone as his new Minister of Defence.

Italian Army:
- Italian officers returned to Italy from around the globe.
- Active and Reservist forces are preparing for combat; about 70,500 troops are ready for immediate combat.
- Weapon manufacturing and AFV production increased.

Italian Navy:
- Italian naval forces deployed in the Adriatic and Mediterranean.
- Aircraft carrier Persano launched from Sicily with a small defensive fleet.
- The deployment of submersibles is being considered.
- Naval production increased.

Italian Air Force:
- Italian aircraft are patrolling Sardinia, Sicily, and Italian airspace.
- Aerial combat vehicle production increased.
