Multiple questions.

I've been on an rp site before, and I know some of the stuff about no godmoding, cheesing, or dominating a rp.

I have a few questions though, If you would be so kind as to answer them.

1) Can you play multiple characters in an rp?

2) Can you please explain the credits system?

3)In creating an Indepedent faction, are there any prequisites that have to be met, minimum number of people, that sort of thing?

4) Can I put characters in different factions, or do they have to all go into the same one?

5) Can I HAVE multiple characters?

6) In joining a faction, what do I do?

7) Can you tell me anything else unique to this site I ought to know?

1) Yes you can, but not in the same thread
2) At the moment it does nothing, but there will be a shop...eventually
3) You need you and two other members. You need to PM your faction drafts to Boli(Gr1m) and he'll tell you when it's okay to post.
4) Each character is individual.
5) Yes you can...I have nine lol
6) Post in the relevant signup thread with the prerequisites specified in the first post by the faction leader
7) It's freeform and very active compared to many Star Wars RPs. But I don't think there is anything wholly unique, except for the New Timeline, which is set in 13,000BBY and has the Alsakan faction, created by the "Think Tank" (the most senior RPers here).

I asked someone that once and they told me that it was fine...although I prefer to avoid it if possible. I'll edit my above statement.

1) Can you play multiple characters in an rp? Yes, you can. However, it tends to be avoided, as it's fairly complicated. I would suggest keeping most interaction between your own characters short - for example, having two characters band together to hunt someone down is a fairly cheap exploit of the freeform rules.

2) Can you please explain the credits system? Don't bother with this atm, it's sort of a half-developed system. In the future, credits will be used to purchase items from a staff-run shop - or, to make it sound shinier, a galactic marketplace.

Basically before hte timeskip you could post anything really, as long as it was feasibly funded. Now, we're a little more strict, simply because we don't want the boards swamped with a number of independants that are exactly the same as each other. I'll refer you here to have a look at the new guideliens for idnependant factions. If you have any further questions on independants, feel free to PM me.

4) Can I put characters in different factions, or do they have to all go into the same one? We actually prefer it if all of your characters are in different factions. It makes the RP way more interesting for you if you have a number of roles to choose from to RP with at any given time. Besides, having fifteen bounty hunters would be...incredibly boring.

5) Can I HAVE multiple characters? Yep. Almost everyone on the sight has at least three. Keep in mind, however, that there is a maximum of three or four Force Sensitive characters (can't remember, go with four for now), and there's a lot of force sensitive factions comparatively at the moment, so take care in where you place them.

6) In joining a faction, what do I do? Usually the faction members have a good idea on what needs to be done. If you're interested in joining a faction, PM one of the members if you have any questions, and place your character's name and link to profile in the relevant sign up thread. From then on in, you usually get a fair amount of guidance.

7) Can you tell me anything else unique to this site I ought to know? Unique? Hmm...fun fact, we're a SWRP that's lasted three years. I can't think of any other SWRP site that can claim that. Also unique is our timeline - most go for clone wars, Old Republic or New Republic eras. We, however, are, as previously stated, currently in the year 13,000BBY. A lot of technology doesn't exist at this point and (for now) there isn't even a Dark Side faction. Don't worry, though...that will change in due time. *cough*hurryuptraitorkthnx*cough*

8) How do you guys post such huge signature pics? the limit on mine says 500X100, so almost nothing fits.

9) Is it possible to get exceptions to rules if I can come up with justification that is valid? Or are they laid in stone. This is important for character creation, because some of my ideas don't slide into specific molds very well.:(

8. There's a limit, but it could be overridden by placing a link to your signature in question on the Signature Change Thread, on the technical requests category. Our technician is not on often at all, which can be frustrating at times, so we are dealing with that problem with request threads because admins can bypass them.

9. I would prefer that you stick to the rules, as I personally believe that letting one person slide makes a domino effect of demands to ignore certain frustrating rules.

ok, can you clarify something then? For making a character who is force sensitive and has had weapons training, but is not a jedi. ( has spent time around them) could he wield a light saber or would that be bad?

He can have a lightsaber, but he can't be a master of any form unless he was trained by someone on this site. The only exception to this is if you are joining the Jedi faction and the Grandmaster specifically allows you to be an exception.

this is the truest of all truths despite only being here a short while I am a founding staff member of a legend of zelda site (don't ask best freinds site) anyway we let one person slide and had the great banning wars so don't let people slide
