Greetings!
So I am rather new to this and it may be a while before I actually start making my profile, mainly because I need to know all the rules and whatnot first. Speaking of which, please do not hesitate to tell me if you believe something I'm doing is wrong, thanks. Because I have a surprisingly bad memory and don't want to screw things up.
I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing so, bear with me?
I'm new to roleplaying and also this era of star wars, though certainly not the original star wars trilogy or the prequals. I'm going to do my best to go down on power levels than I otherwise would have, I've had other star wars characters and they are generally rather strong in the force because they feel it and control it more. So instead of lightsabre fighting they might just crush the opponents lightsabre hilt, I won't be doing that obviously but please make sure I don't do something similar.
I am not that good with people, so I'll try to do my best, but again, bear with me.

And...um...can anyone tell me how to contact the staff? I have some questions and I don't know what I'm doing. I know about 65% of what I'm doing.

@Padmé is our local New Members' Administrator, however, both @Prudence and myself are also staff members always here to lend you a hand.

Anyway: before you start jumping into a thread, a character must first be made (you can only make three characters max). You can post a character here using this template beforehand. Also, there are three main factions you can pick from: the Jedi Order, the Sith Brotherhood, or the Republic. Keep in mind, you can only pick one. However, you are more than welcome to make an independent character (smuggler, bounty hunter, pirate, etc.) before diving into one of the main factions. If you do choose to join one of the three factions, you can sign up your character (after creating them) at either one of their Sign-Up pages here: Jedi, Sith, Republic. After all that, you can find some people to thread either here, or you can literally ask anyone around.

Also, I will personally recommend that force-based characters tend to be quite limited in legitimate PVP environments, as the force is far more taxing than what you might see in other movies or shows. However, that shouldn't stop you from creating a force-based character of your own, as there are still loads of opportunities for you to take from there!

Additionally we have a pretty creative community of members, so if you're ever looking for any tech, planets, or species to choose from, considering using some user created content that is specially tailored to our Timeline.

Our Timeline, by the way, is set roughly 1,000 years before The Phantom Menace, and roughly 100 years after a great Sith War. The Sith are kinda a resurgent threat right now, and the Republic that you can play here is not the Republic of the prequels.

This has a lot of the material that will help you with the general questions on certain types of characters. You can also post threads on this board about particular questions that you may have. This is a very active site and community. The stories are amazing and the site has some really great writers. But, we can't flourish with out new members and ideas so we try to help you guys get into the fold as quick as possible!

Take your time, and most importantly find a pace that works for you! There are people that are rapid firing when it comes to rping and thenn there are others that move at a slower pace, such as myself. You'll do great!
