News operative.

How plausible would it be to create a news reporter character that reported from battles? My person could play a neutral role within battles that we have on the site, and could report what was happening to holonet news. I wouldn't really serve any purpose in the threads other than being comic-relief or mood dramatization. I think it would be rather fun. Does anybody have thoughts on this? Anybody want to chime in?

It's an interesting idea in theory, but I'm not sure how it would work in practice. Most battles are, IC, generally surprise attacks. The character would have to be like actual war corespondents and be embedded with a military unit at all times.

That's still not a bad idea, tho'. Most likely, that would mean the character would be affiliated with the Imperium, I think. Could be a nice propaganda spin for the war effort.

I was thinking that my person could, yeah, be a sort of media trooper.
I was originally hoping for an unbiased character that could sort of have connections to upcoming battles and etc. They could then just sort of drop in. lol, with the thread creater's permission of course. I don't know, I'll figure something out. haha

UPDATE:

I could be a part of an unbiased news network program from out of the Daedalus. That could add an extra level of depth for trying to find ties and connections so that I could be there when the battles start to happen. I really like this character idea.

I'd suggest covering the makurian or tatoonian uprisings, so that way itd be easier to cover. Most battles on this site arent consistently on one planet sp itd be really hard tp cover.

Not sure if covering Makuran Rising would work well, since the true rebellion takes place in Kushari Space, whose location is hidden.
