Loved playing this, or perhaps Oregon Trail 3, on the good old Windows 95 PC.

This was probably the closest thing to my first shooter game.

Besides the glaring error in the first link (which they addressed, corrected and apologized for in the second) I like what they wrote.

Anyway, Oregon Trail. I remember struggling between buying oxen and horses to pull my cart and then having someone drown the very first time we tried to cross a river after it had rained.

I LOVED Oregon Trail! I was bad at it, though...

I think I made it to CA once...I played a doctor to help keep everyone from dying of...everything.

Usually my wagon train decided they didn't like me a mutinied. -_-

I think I also liked the Amazon River one.....I thought the time travel stuff was cool. I never completely finished the game though. ;-;
