APPEARANCE
[beebox3=500px]
Standing at an impressive six-foot-eight-inches, Ocha is a prime specimen of a young adult Sathari. Her posture is straight and confident, shoulders back, chin level, fists often clenched at her side as if prepared for anything. Though her race is known for being light of foot and dexterous, with thin bones made to accommodate such, she seems a bit heftier than your average Sathari, a bit more muscled, a bit more like she drank her milk as a chick.

Her body is covered in a thick fluff of dark blue-green plumage, much of it accented in a greyish red, and primary feathers striped with off-white. Her facial feathers are white, and extend into tufts off of her chin, gradually fading into the purplish red above her beat and fluffed up over her forehead. Her head feathers are slicked backwards into a gradual swoop, usually pristine and kept down with some sort of gel to keep them from fluffing up and getting in her way. Her hands and feet and lightly feathered and covered in blue-black skin, ended with sharp, black talons. She as four, small red eyes, two vertically on each side of her head.

She is usually adorned in.. classical sort of trappings, such as a metal breastplate and pauldrons adorned with fur. She wears a long brown cloak and belt sash, ragged from the wear and tear of battle and age. Under this is a pale greenish sort of jumpsuit, that tucks into metal-plated knee-guards. When not decked out in her battle regalia, she is usually in a simple shirt+sleeveless jacket combo, scarf, and loose-fitting pants.

TRAITS
[beebox3=500px]
For Sathari, to leaving their home-world or even just their hometown is considered abandoning family. Good thing she doesn't care much for them. They disappointed her long before she left. The most efficient way to put them out of mind was to put them out of sight, hence why she left. In a word, that's what she is: efficient. Despite her very un-Sathari-like escape from her familial ties, she is efficient and thoughtful like most of her kind. Her decisions, her tactics, her lifestyle are all swift and exact. She watches, studies, thinks, and then leaps into action - knowing full well to have more than a couple of back-up plans tucked away in her feathers in case she's forced to 'improvise'.
[/beebox3]
[beebox3=500px]
That, of course, gives her a disadvantage when it comes to the unpredictable nature of people. Animals she can handle, people not so much. Just like observing any prey, she tends to silently watch instead of actively interact - because usually trying to interact means you'll scare them off. Better to sit back and look.. but with people, it usually makes her seem aloof or even a little creepy. Even as she integrates with the wild new societies she's escaped to, she can still behave like the recluse the rest of her race seems to aspire to be, keeping themselves away from the galactic society at large. If you can get her chatting, though, she tends to ramble, often dropping in and out of her native Arbori in a series of words and tweets and caws. If you insult her, she'll remember it - Sathari grudges are not to be trifled with.

She exists in an area that is.. positive, but morally grey. As a hunter and trapper, she does things that some would consider.. less than ethical. Removing animals from their habitats and selling them is not often the most glorious profession.. but she still holds herself up to a standard. She doesn't abuse the animals, though often their conditions aren't luxurious, and she even has a trusty hunting 'dog' in the form of a specialty-bred miniature Tarvix - a race typically used as a mount, now used to flush out prey. She babies him a little. But only a little. She is opposed to basic sort of moral "faux-pas", such as slavery and the like, but she will hardly judge people for being greedy, or for other small sort of "moral trip-ups."

BACKSTORY
[beebox3=500px]
The Sathari are stupid.
[/beebox3]
[beebox3=500px]
That's the first thing you should know. Or, well, the most relevant first thing to her. It's the lesson she learns that changes the shape of her life. It's what takes her out of the Outer Rim and forces her to join the other races of this galaxy. Well, that, and cold hard credits. Before all that, though, there was an egg. A small, off-white thing laid in a clutch of 3 to the patriarch and matriarch of the Quyalis family. A traditionalist family, they had other clutches, and the family was large but tight-knit, and resisted in a treetop plot consisting of multiple, specialized buildings for living, training, dining, etc. Like a military base, but more to keep an organized family than to train warriors.

That's not to say any of them did not train as such. Certainly most of them practiced less violent skills, such as farming, craftsmanship, and speech.. some of the siblings wanted to tussle. Even as a hatchling, Ocha would join in with her larger siblings whenever they play-fought, or went on play-adventures into the jungles, wielding sticks and rocks as they fought off the rustles in the grass. As she aged, she traded in her sticks and rocks for a sword and rifle, practicing with them in traditional Sathari martial fashion - long distance first, then close in and strike. It was when she began to learn to really fight that word of the war reached her. The Sathari are very isolated, and, typically, kept off of the political stage. Even as the Sith marched across the Outer Rim, Arboonie was mostly spared. Still, it reached them, if only through the news, no matter how hard the elders tried to ignore it.

Her siblings were more curious about it than she was, at first - especially those training to become diplomats even though traditionalist ways told them they should never even leave the planet. They saw it as a chance to really interact with the other races they'd only heard rumors of. One of her siblings came to Ocha while she was finishing a hunt, cleaning her blade of the gore of a bearsloth that had killed two hatchlings in a nearby village. They told her about the Sith, about how they were terrorizing innocents, causing bloody war to erupt as they trampled all in their path. The Empire. Ocha's trusty Tarvix slobbered on her sibling's hand as they tried to pet them, a mix of saliva and bearsloth blood. "And what are the Elders going to do about it?," she'd asked. "Nothing, of course," they'd replied.

And it just didn't seem right, did it? It wasn't that she had a particular interest in saving the galaxy or in justice but.. it definitely didn't seem right to just allow it. To not band up with.. whatever group was surely trying to stop it and.. do that. So she went and asked. And she got the same answer she always did, that the Sathari didn't want to entangle themselves in politics. Then she asked what that meant for her siblings that wanted to be politicians. They'd chuckled about the dreams of children.

She left the next morning, with a new lease on life. A new clarity. if they kept isolating themselves, the Sathari would be like this - stagnant, jaded, unlearning, unwilling to face the fact that they were putting themselves in danger for the sake of isolationism and tradition. They wouldn't learn. She wasn't like them. She liked learning. She'd always liked learning. Her younger siblings liked learning to. So she left. She'd take what she already knew - hunting - and use it to join in with the wider galactic society. She'd find her fortune, find her place. She'd help her sibligns go where they want, off-world or not. One sibling caught her as she left, preparing to travel to Zeilo, where the only spaceport was located. They didn't try to stop her, just hugged her, and told her to message them about what she learned. Maybe she'd learn more about the Sith. Maybe she'd learn other things she didn't even think to try and learn. Wouldn't that be a feat for a Sathari.

Now I want to fight a bearsloth.

The race reminds me of the Shryke in The Edge Cronicles. Now those were some good books.

Everything is looking pretty great on the major sections of the profile from what I can see.
You'll just need to do a few things as far as the gear and the ship goes.

Reinforced Diiro
Do a tech write up for this. Especially what kind of poisons (bearsloth or otherwise) it uses and their effects on the body.

Longsword
Specify if it is lightsaber resistant. (Made of cortosis, a vibroblade, or Force Forged.) As well as the length.

Sathari Hunting Rifle
This may fall under Generic Tech if it is a type of blaster rifle, though you will probably still need to do a short write up on it in Player Workshops.

Net Gun
I have seen some new weapons in the tech but I can't seem to locate them at the moment.

The sites stance on slugthrowers makes them rather weak. You can talk to Clayton or Elijah Brockway about more tech questions though.

I believe you can still have the ship but state that it has the same stats as a comparable ship in the tech board.

Since the Tarvix is a Legends species you will need to do a do a synopsis of the animal. Like the one I did for my character's pet margay.

Zenya might ask you to add something else but that's about all that I see.

Maybe I can lure Ocha into a thread with bird seed some time. ;)
