Planet - Jehda
Time - Mid Day
Location - Outsidethe East Gate of the City

Ferrus breathed the damp air of this planet deeply. He had only been on the planet for a few hours but the crowds became to much for him. He rolled various joints in order to loosen them, he listened as his cybernetics whirred and hissed as he stretched, I got to recalibrate the sensors if im going to be on this planet. There's a slight delay in the reponse time, He thought to himself. He turned around to head back into the city, hoping he could avoid the larger crowds as he made his way to the temple.

Calei Rein, aggravated by the heat, was walking alone. Her thin robes covered her face for the time being. She didn't feel like combing her hair that day so it was a large, fluffy mess. Her eyes darted around the path, not quite feeling up to par with go through crowds. Her training as an Initiate has gone fine, and this day was a simple break from it all. Her golden eyes scanned the landscape for anything, anyone, of a familiar appearance. She saw Ferrus up ahead, coming down the path. His Force signature said Jedi and that was enough to be deemed familiar.

She raised her robed hand and waved, calling out: "Hey, you!"

Ferrus' head shot up when he heard some one call out. He quickly saw the young, hooded initiate and returned the gesture. Odd to see a young one of the order so far from the temple, He thought to himself as he closed the distance between them, he kept his warhammer slung low across his back in order to conceal it under his robes as he walked. "Greetings, young one." He tried to sound welcomingin the dreadful humidity.

Calei wrinkled her nose in being called "young one". She didn't like epithets for herself very much. She knew it was in good terms, however. "Greetings," she kept her voice soft and in a soprano pitch, as she usually did when she first met someone. "How are you today? I haven't seen you around the Order, yet." She wasn't known for making friends around the Order, Calei kept to herself mostly. She was usually studying various subjects of the galaxy on her own terms. The Initiate couldn't help but stare at the other Jedi's cybernetics. @210yeti

"I'm fine. Id be better if it wasn't for this heat." Ferrus tired to respond in kind but being absent for so long took its toll on his social skill. He wiped the sweat from his brow accidently exposing his cybernetic jaw. Quickly fixing his cowl, Ferrus looked around to make sure no one saw other than the initiate in front of him. "I've been on Ilum meditating and suppressing my rage in the frozen tundra. This is my first outing as a knight."

Calei wrinkled her nose yet again at the thought of being in the frozen tundra. Wrinkling her nose was almost instinctual by now. "Why in Ilum, though?" She nodded in respect to the Jedi Knight, at the fact it was his first outing. "And congratulations. As you can see, I'm a mere Initiate," Calei still had a problem with not looking at the cybernetics. She felt quite rude. "I'm sorry, if I'm offending you..."

(Ooc - its all good im trying to lengthen mine out since im on mobile.)

"No offense taken. Ilum is where i found peace since i have a background in forging. I figured my rage was that of fire needing to be extinguished," Ferrus noticed the Initiate eye his cybernetics. He adjusted his robes to hide most of it, "An accident in my youth led to my disfigurement and i try to keep them hidden as to not disturb those around me. My name is Ferrus Omegon and you are?" Ferrus spoke as he looked around eyeing a large group of people headed their way and searched for a route an order to avoid being consumed by the hoard.

"That's very respectful of you," Calei said this very slowly, searching for words. Ferrus's response to her question sparked curiosity in her brain, but she let it go, for now. She'd ask later. Calei felt a wave of shame as she didn't even introduce herself first when she greeted the Jedi. "I doubt you're disturbing many people, it's not really disturbing, it just kinda sparks an interest, that's all," The Initiate mentally grimaced at her awkwardness, but she continued. "Nice to meet you, Ferrus, or Master Omegon...?" Rein tried to feel out how she should address him, speaking slowly to watch his reactions. "My name is Calei Rein, apprentice to the Grand Master."

As more people began to circulate their way, she watched for a way out. She saw Ferrus do the same. Heading back to the Temple didn't seem like such a bad idea. Foot traffic was going to increase anyways. Calei nodded her head back to the path where she had came, notifying Ferrus.

Ferrus nodded and stated to follow the initiate. "Its nice to meet you, Calei and please call me, Ferrus. I dont like having a title." He thought for a moment on the subject of her being the apprentice to the Grand Master. It mist be a great honor to be taught by him. "Tell me, who is it being trained by him? Ive only seen him in passing and he seems admirable but ive never spoken to anyone other than my own master about him." He watched as the initiate formulated her answer.

Rein chuckled softly. "It's not that different than most, I presume." Her eyes clouded ever so slightly as she zoned out and thought more about the topic at hand. "He's busy, obviously, so it's sometimes hard. There's a lot that I do on my own, but I don't mind," she smiled, watching their surroundings. "I came to the Jedi Order later than most, so I guess they had to see that I wasn't going to be a problem," Calei spoke to the other Jedi in a soft voice, it's pitch going back to normal, she continued, "How about you? Who was your Master?"

Ferrus searched his mind for a name but oddly he couldn't name him. "I, for some reason, cant remember but he helped me with my anger by allowing me access to forge when i first joined." Troubled by his lapse in memory, Ferrus stopped but only for a moment quickly regaining his pace. "Don't let it trouble you, Calei. I'll remember his name in time."

"O-oh, it's fine," Calei didn't quite seem so troubled by the fact of the memory lapses, just more or less concerned for Ferrus. As they kept walking, she huffed. What exactly was there to do? "Do you have a favorite part of the city yet?" Calei asked promptly, trying to think of conversation starters. She hadn't sparred with her saber in quite sometime, she thought of maybe asking, but she was unsure.

"Oh," Calei replied plainly. "And, I honestly don't know. Do you have any ideas?" The Initiate still felt too shy to try and spar with another Jedi that she didn't quite know. She tried to keep her social anxiety to a minimum, trying to hide it on her face.

"Are you afraid of something, Calei? I have seen that look before. The people of my home town on Bastion had that same visage when i first leaft them." Ferrus knew he was prodding but he persisted. "If you are not comfortable with sharing, i understand completely." He had stopped in a small clearing that was surrounded by buildings with only two small alleyways to serve as entrances and exits.

Calei shook her head modestly, shyly, her large eyes focusing on what's ahead. "I'm just awkward, that's all. Bastion, where's that in the Galaxy?" Rein asked, trying to keep her wits about her and focusing on conversation. She's been jumpy lately, ever since a specific meeting, but she tried to keep it concealed. It wasn't a huge concern, it's just how she processed things. "Do you know what your people were thinking when you left?" The Initiate was a little surprised that there was another Jedi had joined the Order later in life like she had. She didn't know all of the details, but she was hoping it was similar to her situation. It gave her something to sympathize with and talk about, and maybe confess her doubts since the other Jedi was almost twice her age.

Thinking about her previous home to the Jedi Order, Cathar, it brought a pang of homesickness into Calei's heart. It didn't last long, but it still swung like a pendulum in her thoracic cavity. She chewed on her lip as she waited for Ferrus to reply.

"It was a look of shock and horror. I had just crippled my Father's arms in the defense of my mother." Ferrus paused remembering the day ansd the rage he felt. The way it was burned into his memories but he quickly suppressed those thoughts. "Bastion is near Mygeeto, just above Bescane. I worked with my Father at his forge there."

Re-mentioning his father brought back the memories before the accident that started him on this path. He flexed his cybernetic hand in order to center himself in the present. "If i may ask Calei, what was Cathar like? If the memory of home doesnt suit you, you do not have to answer." Ferrus attempted to speak calmly seeing the initiate bite her lip as he spoke.

Calei's horror shown clearly on her face, it moved from horror to concern, as she thought more of what Ferrus had told her. She wanted to ask further, but she didn't want to push him. She looked to him, frowning. "I'm sorry, Ferrus." Rein was apologizing for the fact it had happened. Trials partaking with parents should never occur to someone.

"Cathar was Cathar. I had a good childhood, and I was raised by my surrogate mother well. It did, however, bring some of the Galaxy to light. There was a horrific slave market on Cathar," Calei shuddered and subconsciously ran her fingers down the scar along her collarbone. She thought about Cathar with a ache in her heart, especially thinking about Plumar. @210yeti

Ferrus shook his head at the mention of slavery. "You do not need to concern yourself with me Calei. I made peace with it a long time ago." He spoke reassuring words to Calei while the memories of him returning home after completing his trials to find family and his father's forge in ruins haunted his mind. He could still feel the heat from the fire as he stared off into the sky.

Ferrus choked down the emotions along with the memories and refocused on the present. Searching for a diversion, he asked, "
who is your blade work, Calei?" Ferrus was never good at transitions but this would have to do.

"I naturally concern myself with everything, all the time, at the same time. But we can leave it be," Calei admitted her overthinking shamelessly, she has never been able escape from her mind. She watched Ferrus with wide eyes, the gold reflecting her sympathy. "I know you're much older than me, but if you ever need to talk, I'm here."

"It's not too bad, considering,"
Calei tried to be humble. Her saber was holstered on her left hip. She lightly ran her fingers along it, finding comfort. Rein wanted to train with it, become more adept with the yellowish-bronze saber, but she found more solace in educating herself in other disciplines first.
