Vinculis sat cross legged in his training room at the Korriban academy. He breathed slowly, enjoying the amount of darkness he could sense on the planet. It had been a long time since he had been on the world, and he had never realized how much he loved it. After a few moments, he opened his eyes and began laughing. He could sense the boy landing on the planet. He had survived, perhaps the force was actually going to help Vinculis for once.

With a snap of his fingers, a trooper appeared at Vinculis' side.

" Go fetch the boy. "

" Very well sir. "

The trooper ran off to find the boy, when Vinculis realized something else. He had never built his own saber, and his soon to be apprentice had. The only lightsaber he owned was the one of his recent lover that he had killed. He would need to rectify that situation soon, but not now. He had bigger plans for the boy.

"Come with me, pup," the trooper said curtly to me. I glared at him and snapped my finger as the trooper doubled over in immense pain. He groaned and moaned and complained, until I finally snapped my fingers again. He put his hands on his knees for a second, but then stood back up.

"I'll do worse if you speak to me as a rebellious idiot again," I said. The soldier nodded nervously and led me to Vincullis, who was sitting cross-legged in the middle of a training chamber. I didn't have time to admire the beauty of the building, but assumed I would get time as training passed.

"I made it, master," I said. I wasn't aiming to disappoint, but I wasn't aiming to be a suck up bitch either. My goal was still the same; knowledge and power. With both, I knew I could be a force to be reckoned with.

" Come sit. You drink coffee? "

Vinculis had poured two mugs of coffee, which were slightly levitating over the ground. He was currently pouring cream and sugar into his as he spoke to Caedra. After blowing on his coffee and swallowing a large amount of it, he placed the cup down.

" So tell me, how much about the force do you already know? "

For once, I would get to show someone how wise I really was. I was often mistaken as the headstrong youth with an attitude problem. I was already starting to like this place. "The force is an omnipresent energy that flows through everything, giving it life and power over that life. Emotions fuel this power. The Jedi believe in the weaker aspects of it, such as allowing those who don't deserve life to keep it. I believe in something else. The force is something which can be used to rid the galaxy of the weak and preserve the strong. Those who prey on the weak are weak themselves, and therefore don't deserve the power they have and should be killed. The way of the dark Jedi, as I see it, are a way to achieve power and greatness in order to destroy the weakness in this galaxy..." I explained as I sipped on my coffee.

"If you don't mind my asking, master, what are your beliefs? An open mind is key to achieving foremost power," I said. I was willing to listen and keep an open mind, for ones personal belief can always be proven false.

Vinculis snorted and laughed at the question. He then grew very serious.

" My beliefs are mine alone, but do know eventually all will know of them. But that is a ways down the road, so let us focus on the present. "

Vinculis stood and walked back a few feet. He snapped his fingers, and two all black figures appeared in front of Caedra.

" Alright, show me what you can do then. I want to see the full extent of your force powers. "

I had no intention of disappointing on this day. The first black figure began to circle me slowly, making sure he kept his disance. I quickly used a force push on him a sent him flying a few feet, then threw my lightsaber at him. It impaled him and came right back to my hand once I called for it.

Then next one did the same thing. Impulsively, I reached out and pulled him towards me with the force, held him in the air with a force choke, and then sliced the ****er in half. After it was all said and done, I withdrew my saber and clipped it on my best. I turned and faced my master.

"There is one power I wish to learn first if I may," I asked. "The power of force lightning."

Vinculis watched with hungry eyes as the boy showed what he was already capable of. He had a good understanding of the basic force powers, and what may have been a slight control over force choke. It was impressive, Vinculis always loathed the acolytes who dared to show up for training with the sith without any knowledge of the force what so ever. Hie eyebrows arched slightly at the request.

" Lightning, ey? "

Vinculis stroked his chin a few times, and looked the boy up and down. He then snapped his fingers in front of his own face, causing a spark to leap out of them.

" Alright, if you want. "

Vinculis cleared his throat, ready to start his rant.

" Alright mate, lightning is a real bitch. You have to be careful with it. If you put to much emotion and passion into it, you will either burn yourself out, or do a lot more damage then you meant to. But, then again, if you put too little into it, you won't manage to do shit. To form it, you simply have to focus your force energy and the anger inside of you into one element. Run that energy through yourself, and to your hand. Then release it. It should release from your fingers as lighting, but I have seen some odd things come from people before. "

Desmond took a deep breath, and raised his arm, hand spread. He opened his eyes, and a beam of lightning shot out of it, blasting a training target on the wall into pieces.

"Utilizing anger, ey? Alright, I'll give it a try," I said. I turned, closing my eyes, though of the thing that made me the angriest. Immediately the thought of when the crew I ran with abandoned me popped in my mind. The memories od when the locked me out of their hideout with all of the heat on me, it filled my heart with an uncontrolable rage. I opened my eyes and outstretched my hand towards and unbroken target, just as Vinculis did, and focused and trained the force through my body.

It finally reached my hand and several bolts of lightning that gave off a red light escaped my fingertips, directing its path directly at the target. The target shattered into small pieces. I knew then I was capable of massive ****ing storms of lightning, I just needed to learn control. I snickered. "You're right. It is a bit of a bitch," I said, "but it's ****ing powerful. Who knew rage and hatred commanded such an amazing power... I must ask, with a power such as this, is it possible to create a storm and control it just through lightning?" I asked.

Vinculis smiled as the young boy let out a few sparks of various power. Sure it wasn't much, but it was a good start. His smile got even wider at the question the boy asked.

" To create an entire storm would take a shit load of power. I'm not even capable of that, and I bet you only one or two of the sith lords are able to. The emperor and empress can, I've even seen them do it before. But, it can be a long term goal for you. Which leads me to my next question. What type of specialization are you going for? Force, Blade, or a little bit in both? "

I couldn't deny that I had to sit there and think for a moment. In all actuality, I wanted to focus on strengthening both, and producing an equal balance so that when I didn't have my saber, I could still **** shit up. "I prefer to work on master both blade and force powers," I said.

" Ah, your still wishy washy and filled with dreams. Don't worry, you do not have to decide now...but eventually you will. "

Desmond threw his katana onto the wall opposite of him, as well as his chains and scythes. He then pulled his lightsaber from his belt, igniting the crimson red blade. He spun it time a few times, getting a feel for the blade.

" Alright then, come at me! "

Desmond stepped into the juyo stance, ready to engage the acolyte in a saber sparring match.

Watching as he pulled out his lightsaber, I pulled my own out, igniting the black blade. I spun it, getting it prepared for the fight it was about to endure as I finally rested it in the reverse grip position in a Juyo stance. Everything I had studied before was about to have to come into play with this battle.

"HAA!!" I yelled, dashing forward using the force to increase my speed. I slashed downward at his right shoulder, putting all of my brute force and strength into the blow lke I would do with each strike I made.

Vinculis snickered, the boy was brave...but foolish. As he rushed forwards and swung his blade down, it met no resistance. Instead it flew straight through the illusion that Vinculis had put up seconds before. It wavered and then slowly disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

As it did so, the real Vinculis dropped from a support beam above, slamming his lightsaber down towards Caedra's head as he did so.

" Sneak Attack! "

He yelled as he brought the blade down.

Even though it was little time to react, my mind seemed to slow down time for me to think with a clear head. I ducked and sidestepped out of the way of the falling blade, then rolled forward to make sure no other slices that were made would hit me. I realized then it was time to change up my strategy and think outside of the box with the limited range of weak powers that I had. This would be an interesting battle for me, and I tried my damndest to win.

I spun and sent five bolts of lightning in all of the possible movements Vinculis would have gone. However, I knew that he was fast, so I wasn't expecting a direct hit; just a distraction. I then focused my energy in the force, swelling up a big blast that would incapacitate anything not prepared in its path. Once that passed, I would dash forward and strike in three places with my saber, engaging in a saber duel.

The boy began spinning, sending five bolts of lightning towards Vinculis. He laughed and held up his unused hand, drawing in the lightning and converting it into a force shield as the large bolt came towards him. The bolt was strong enough to shatter the shield, causing Vinculis to be distracted for a moment as he rushed him with his saber attacks.

Vinculis barley managed to deflect the three attacks, and the counter attack he threw horizontally at Caedra's chest was sloppy at best. His free hand had been building up energy for either a quick defense, or an attack to finish the duel.

Seeing the strike to my chest would've made any other alcolyte overconfident, and would've ultimately been their downfall. I wouldn't let myself think that way. I knew Vinculis was planning another attack, or he wouldn't have been so ****ing careless.

As I blocked the attack, I sent out a small force blast in every direction from my body, like a bubble shield. It wasn't strong at all, but it would be enough to serve as a distraction as I built up enough force for a second one, one that was strong enough to knock a person off their feet if they weren't paying attention.

If it did as I had hoped, I would use the force to pull Vinculis' lightsaber from his grip and pull it to my own hand, use another blast to knock him back a bit, and then I would jump so that my legs were on his arms and he couldn't move. I would hold the two sabers at his neck, and call a "yield", ending the battle. This was, however, only if everything went according to plan.

Vinculis did not even flinch as the small wave of force was sent out. He opened his palm, releasing a stream of lighting onto Caedra. The small amount of lightning would be powerful enough to bring Caedra down to his knees.

Once he fell on his knees, Vinculis raised his blade. He could easily decapitate the boy now, but what would be the point of that? It was only training after all. So, instead Vinculis deactivated the blade, and clipped it to his belt.

" Alright boy, you have the rough basics that any acolyte needs to survive in the world. I want you to go out, gain more control over your lightning, and do some missions for the sith. Do not feel tied down to me. Obtain as much notice and respect as you can, it will make it easier to get you promoted down the road. I'll call you in for help on a mission, but feel free to do as you wish until then. If I feel the sudden urge to teach more, I'll be sure to let you know. "

With that, Vinculis vanished in a puff of smoke. This time though, he left behind a small gift. Facial piercings, and a piercing gun.

I smiled as Vinculis vanished. The small ift he left there for me, I assumed, was to tell me that he knew my taste in styles and they were his as well. I grabbed the piercings, two lip piercings, and eyebrow piercing, and three earrings, and stuffed them in my pocket. The lightning jolted me a bit, but it was enough to know I was on the right track to train and grow stronger.

I walked out of the training room, thinking of where else I could go and what sort of missions I could take part in. I decided to invest in a ship for myself, have the night off to get laid or something, and then get my first mission in the morning...
