I am still here and I talked about this thread with Matt....I have been waiting for him to make a decision on this thread for quit a few days now.

On a side note I will edit my post and try to make it clearer for everyone. Also, I won't be that active in the coming few days, but I should be able to post in this thread every two days or something.

Edit: Done, if you have anymore issue with my post then wait for Matt.

English isn't his first language, so cut him some slack on the translation thing.

Either way, I'm pretty sure he mentioned something about internet trouble. If he doesn't come back in a couple days then I'll put someone else on it.

I wasn't trying to be mean. I was just saying I didn't know what was going on, and maybe someone could tell me. I'll check his new post though.

ALSO, Ru is the one who is doing the fighting. My ships are there to defend transports...

Sweet, I should probably have a post up by tomorrow...on a side note Ru I believe that your shields are taking damage from my fire right? I am asking cause you did not mention the damage in your post.

We ca assume that both sides have taken damage, but your fighters having attacked my ships are taking the most damage due to being within range of my point defense systems and support vessels. Don't forget my fighters.

Okay, fair enough just keep in mind that they are not keeping a specific formation so there would be some inaccurate fire from your fighters that would have a chance of hitting your ships since I made it clear that my fighters are surrounding your capital ships.

It's dogfighting now, ships vs ship and weapons designed to kill small ships, damage to my own vessels will be minimal. Mostly your fighters are going to get chewed up by my defenses and fighters. Damage will be greater to you.

Gladly, Marcus's plan went well as the enemy's ships focused mainly on the fighters and completely ignored the corvettes, and armored shuttles that were firing at them completely.

That's actually untrue. My larger ships are firing upon large ships, only point defense weapons are focusing on your fighters.

Of course while this was happening the fighters retreated back to the fleet. Of course some damage were unavoidable

You just called a route, routing in combat will salvage your ships, but always there are heavy losses from a route due to ships trying to ge away rather than fight. If they had not been engaged it would have been easy, but your ships were engaged heavily with mine. You might want to edit accordingly.

It seemed that things were going according to how Marcus wanted them so far. He had sixteen ships on the enemy's right flank, sixteen on the front, and finally a good amount of corvettes and shuttles surrounding the enemy's left flank.

This is also inaccurate. I had my ships take a left, so actually you have a number of small ships to my front, a number to my right and a bit out of range, and a number far far out of range to my right.

To give a simple image we have:

-----------------------
-------------0
-----0--------------- 0
------x

-----------------

My ships would have been forced to firing on your small corvettes and shuttles- although hard to hit we would see an incredible advantage to me in present combat.

It was not stated in your posts that you were firing at the corvettes and shuttles or not that is why I assumed that your capital ships were concentrating their fire on my capital ships. Also my corvettes and shuttles are relatively small so hitting them with your cannons would be pretty much hard especially since they are moving. On a side note if you are firing at the corvettes and shuttles then that means the attacks on my capitals ships are less.

About the fighter well they did take some damage but I thought I made it clear that my corvettes and shuttles were covering the retreat of my fighters...So any one of your fighters that stayed on the tail of my fighters after they exited your fleet formation would be forced to retreat or risk getting hit by the shuttles and corvettes.

Last but not least I clearly don't get where your capital ships are moving? If they are moving to the left then probably there would be a small amount of ships to your front but you did not mention anything about moving to the left, and also if I am not mistaken your ships are heavy and slow so they would be moving slowly.

Oh, and before I forget I fired drive mass cannons (which are able to bypass the energy shields and damage the ships) at your flagship...you totally forgot to rp receiving damage from this one....

I mentioned moving to the left, port. The same could be said of your own ships, but the transverse velocity of my ships moving left and your right makes it so we quickly create a gap.(which reminded em that my little x and 0 pic didn't show p right. I edited it.)

Your small ships, wile moving fast, remained in range and moving in a similar direction at a similar speed, a lower transversal velocity making their effective speed to my ships quite low.

From that I can gather that fire to and from your your mass driver ships would be too inaccurate to factor in. The battle effectively became my battle cruisers against your smaller ships. This gives me an advantage, and now your small ships are under overwhelming fire as your fighters retreat, their "cover" is hardly effective as a route effectively ends in huge losses, a hit to soldier morale. The upside is you salvage the remaining fighters and bombers which might be able to regroup and defend your own ships from my fighters.

Still hitting my corvettes and shuttles would be hard since they retreated back first, and then expanded their formation to the left(I did mention that they were keeping the same distance as the rest of my fleet which is quite big). Also, my fighters are quite huge in number if your fighters number is proportional to your ships then my fighters would not take that much damage since not all my fighters would have one of yours on its tail.

In attacking my ships with your fighters you sent them to a situation to their disadvantage. If they had advantage of numbers then you might have salvaged more ships. Your losses are still substantial.

I know I took damage and I made that clear in my post, but since I had the advantage of numbers I would have definitely saved more ships and probably the damge to your fighters would not be pretty minimal.

I added you...also currently my character and Ru's character are negotiating to end this battle. It would be great if the negotiations went well since this thread has gotten pretty much complicated.

The thing that I currently do not clearly understand is how far did Ru's ships move away from the planet since they have been moving toward the left side for quit awhile now, and what are they rotating around.
