OOC Thread - Sith Mission: Rule of the Strong

So a OOC thread for the Sith Mission found right... chea.

Current participants are three Jedi v. two Sith and SBZ member.

General thread purpose: the Sith are defeat of the Mustafari Warlord to attain their warriors and ultimately control of the planet's resources.

Yeah, essentially we finish this round of posting we did, then the new post order will start. I think all we're waiting on is the last Jedi to post rn.

Sith first, then the Jedi second.

Since there is now multiple Jedi involved and (I suspect) PvP is about to take place, I'd like to add a quick, friendly note.

I am not a FL or an AFL for the Sith Brotherhood, but I am the one who drew up the mission pack this thread is part of. In light of the recent increase in OOC drama regarding PvP, I would like to take this moment to remind all involved in this thread to have fun and tell a good story. Yes, this square would advance Sith interest in the Mustafar system. Yes, strategically, that would be great for the Faction. And yes, I want my guys to pull out of this thing with a win so that the Faction can (eventually) claim the square.

That said, don't lose sight of what's important. Don't let this thread devolve into anger or hyper-competitiveness to the point where it is no longer fun. Work together. Have fun; a little competition is fine, because it is fun. Communicate. Tell a great tale. To me—and I realize this might sound sacrilegious for such a devoted Sith player—that is far more important than any faction victory or red square on the map.

That's all I wanted to say. Cheers folks and have a blast.

I think everyone's honest goal is to have a drama free PVP. The PMs have echoed that sentiment and we are on the right track.

@Valen Pelora @TheBeta how do you guys feel about skipping his post and starting the next round so we can get started? I'm a little anxious to write as this is the only thread I'm currently in so excuse the rush. Plus it's been a few days since he's been on the site idk how often he's on but it's a cause for concern. Of course we can wait a day or two more to see if he posts but I don't wanna wait a whole week to respond again that's how threads did.

We can give him another chance to respond once it's his turn again in the next round of posting since we're barely establishing the fights starting this round. We should get started quickly so we can start getting stuff out the way.

Though I should mention if he can't post by the next round IDK what we should do - you guys can find another writer to help you out or we can simply write his role out as an NPC/non death, or get another role player to write in though at this late in the thread it honestly wouldn't make too much sense in all honesty. It's up to the jedi though since he's on y'all side.

I don't mind skipping him, I don't have anyone outside contact. I think before we resort to using an NPC (just so the sides are even) we should try and find another live role player.

I agree you should be given the chance to replace him before we start fighting. See if either of you can find someone to post in his place.

I'm sure you are already aware, but NPC in PvP isn't allowed. For story progress though, one cna be used so long as it isn't involved in the PvP.

Insoulent was saying one of you could npc Arranev leaving the battle without being injured/ captured etc. So if he does come back, he still has his character. However, I think he was the one that posted being aboard yalls ship, so...

I'm thinking y'all could just find someone to replace him in the tread and he's okay either way.

You can use NPCs in PvP combat. They just aren't the equivalents to PCs.

Okay guys and gals, BossMan here.

Imma be the replacement for @Arranev and join the thread. I will have a post up sometime today if that is okay and it doesn't break your turn order. First though I have a few questions regarding Character placement just so we are clear and I don't use my first post and jumble up everyone's placement.

I've read the thread all the way but here are my questions.

1. Right now all the Sith Characters are on the Landing pad correct?
2. All the Jedi are down in the tunnels with the warlord whom they are trying to protect?
3. I was thinking I'd start my character off in another landing pad, opposite the one that the Sith are on. Is that okay?

Also for side notes my character is Calvin Eltros, he is in my sig if you'd like to see him.

1&2 are correct in my understanding.
As far as #3 goes, I'm torn cause half of me is like who cares and the other half of me feels like I should care. So I guess I'm just gonna go with I'm cool with however you wanna start as long as we have a fair chance to notice and react to your approaching us. Also as long as @Insoulent and @Versok are okay with it.
