Hey, i'm wondering if anyone knows of any specific jedi who used orange bladed lightsabers and if it signifies anything and if so, what? I know that at the start of the jedi order they ignited sabers in every known hue. Does anyone know?

I don't think that's true, lightsabers weren't invented for a good ten thousand years after the Jedi Order first formed.

And as for blade colour, that's totally a Jedi's perogative. It signifies nothing.

Kyle Katarn used an Orange Lightsaber, about the only one who did that is memorable I do believe.

Oh yeah. You're right. I remember now. I guess what i meant was when lightsabers were first used there were many different colors.

Seccond, in "Knights of the old Republic" the jedi's saber color did signify something but then again that's a video game and, from my experience, most "Star Wars" video games dont have much relyable info.

Thanks

Blue meant a jedi Guardian, yellow was for a Setinal, and green was for a consular. I believe even in the game it was stated that all the other colors were simply whatever the Jedi wanted. And I though Kyle Katarn's lightsaber was blue. I know Plo Koon uses a yellow lightsaber.

Colors for Guardians, Consulars and Sentinels was something for the pre-KOTOR era and the post-KOTOR era. By the time of the six movies, it was simply personal preference. For the purposes of this RP, it's also your personal preference.

I prefer Yellow myself.

He used a green saber in Jedi Knight, then a blue in Jedi Outcast and Accademy. When did he ever use an Orange?

I like blue.
Blue lightsabers are overused, alot.

Kyle's saber in Mysteries of the Sith is orange I do believe. It could be considered yellow, though I'm pretty sure it's orange.

It wasn't a strictly enforced thing, however. A Jedi's first saber was usually that of their profession, however beyond this a Jedi was free to change their saber colour to something more preferential to them.

After the events of Ruusan, however, higher quality crystals became much less abundant to the Jedi, and the majority of Jedi used Adegan crystals from Ilum, which were almost always of a blue or green colour. There are a few exceptions to this rule, obviously, but for the most part the Jedi after Ruusan used only blue or green blades.

KOTOR i understand, but i'm pretty sure a lot of starwars games do have quite reliable info. Such as Force Unleashed :CHappy:

Personal preference and whatever you can find, so yeah I don't need to add to this I guess.

I'm pretty sure orange is often referred to as a golden blade, by the way. Goldens and darksabers mix well.

Katarn has had like eleven lightsabers. His third was yellow, but some artists gave it an Orange hue, that's all. I think his last one was blue again, I'm not sure.

Wookiepedia?

Yeah, up until Ruusan, as Boli said, there are lightsabers of all colours. And once synthetic crystals were in major use in the NJO era and after that there were so many colours once more.

As for the Kotor thing, to be honest that's not a major part of canon, it was mainly to make an easy way of you selecting your class so they could assign you the correct stats. Lightsaber colour is a Jedi's preference in any era.
