Thrown into turmoil, the galaxy seemed to be a rather chaotic place for the moment. A few years ago, Vardon Galland would never have expected to be conducting an operation on Alderaan, a world in the middle of Imperial Republica space. Regardless, they were there now, with a number of landed civilian shuttles in the distance. The jedi padawan, his Nautolan ally and a few other rebels were on their way to a Sith stronghold. There was no reason to expect more resistance than those stubborn enough to remain on the world even after the withdrawal of their Empire. Still, Sith had a certain tendency to be stubborn and they had mustered the courage to kidnap members of house Organa.

Their path had lead them through a forested area with relatively thin trees and plenty of rocks of various sizes littering the ground, far removed from any roads where they would be much easier to spot. It wouldn't take long until they reached a low stone wall, surrounding a central building with the main road leading in from the opposite side of where the rebels were coming from.

Remaining crouched down, the padawan looked over the much more open area inside the wall. A few guards could be seen on top of the building within, seemingly having some friendly banter, looking more at each other than out over the horizon. The grounds had a few rusty speeders laying about, judging by their looks it seemed unlikely that they were still functioning. A couple of hover trucks stood parked at the front which meant that it was probably the kidnappers main way of travelling. While the medium sized building was more impressive than a cottage, it still had a rather humble look to it, excellent for keeping a low profile. Confident that the Organas were inside, all they had to do now was to get in and rescue them.

Well, the imperial remnants were a stubborn bunch, weren't they? This was the second time Zex took part of a mission to stop them, when would they understand that the galaxy wanted nothing to do with them? It was pathetic, really, but the Nautolan couldn't refuse taking any chances to screw over the people that screwed him over in the past so many times. He was now fighting alongside another jedi, like usual, and was ready to dance. Those guys had taken hostages, but they didn't seem to be very vigilant, the two GA members would strike fast and hard, hopefully leaving them no chance to fight back.

With his suit and weapons at ready, the Nautolan was crouching besides Vardon before taking the initiative and starting to move forwards, Zex knew how to be sneaky and managed to get a bit nearer the one story building, standing behind one of the hover trucks as cover and wondering about how either he was sneakier than he gave himself credit, or if the guards really sucked that much at doing their job, but then again, these were imperial troops, the worse of the worse in every single aspect.

A mere moment after the Nautolan had advanced forth, an Imperial helmet could be seen peering out from the roof of the one-story building. Vardon kept still as moving at the moment seemed a bit risky. Meanwhile, the band of rebels slowly spread out across the low wall with a couple taking their chance to advance, covering behind crates and rusty old speeders. Once the apparently oblivious guard had moved on, the Jedi took his chance and hopped over the low wall to hide behind a speeder which was between the wall and the house. The Imperial guard certainly seemed to be on the inattentive side of things which pointed at one of two things. Incompetence or a trap.

Unsheathing his lightsaber without igniting it, the padawan advanced on the door. After having peered through a window on his way there and determined that the back entrance wasn't watched, he put his free hand on the door handle. Holding it tight, Vardon slowly started to open the door, careful not to make a sound. The room they were in was filled with crates and light materials such as hard plastic ceiling panels stacked in heaps. The mid-sized storage room seemed to lack inhabitants other than the intruder and the company he brought. Casual conversation could be heard from other parts of the building. Electing to minimise the risk of being spotted, the Jedi remained in a crouched position, ensuring that he wouldn't be spotted from the other side of the crates he was hiding behind.

After getting to a suitable hiding spot, Zex would take a look around the place one again, looking for the guards, making sure not a single one of them had seen him, after that, he looked at his jedi partner as he approached the door and carefully moved towards him, staying behind as he opened the door.

Blaster in hand, the Nautolan quickly but silently moved towards the other end of the room, looking through the keyhole, behind the other side of the door was a small hallway that would lead them to the main room, where the hostages were located, if his hearing was right, seeing how a couple voices were taunting someone else. The Nautolan would step away from the door and wait for his jedi companion to signal their advance.

The operation was proceeding smoothly with several rebels advancing into the room whilst others stayed outside to keep watch. The defences their remnant foes had in place seemed rather inadequate to say the least. The idea of the crew having gone out to get pizza crossed the Jedi's mind as he watched his ally peer through the keyhole. Judging by the looks of it, the coast was clear.

Upon entering the short corridor, three doors could be seen. The one to the left lead to the main hall and front entrance which seemed all empty when watching through the keyhole. The one on the opposite site lead to a smaller dining area but that room also appeared to be empty when searched by one of the rebel troopers. Finally, there was the last door straight across the short corridor leading into the room where the hostage had toe be kept.

While many more could be found inside the room than anywhere else in the building, there still weren't all too many foes, it seemed. Thinking that it might be better for his allies with ranged weapons to deal with the captors initially, Vardon stood by the door, ready to push it open and rush in, defecting bolts or preventing hostages from being executed through the force. But this stage belonged to his allies and with that, he stood by the door, waiting for Zex to signal him to commence the attack.

Zex followed Vardon around carefully, looking through the keyhole of the doors that were around just like Vardon, making very sure that no one was really on those rooms, one could never be too sure. However, after realizing that the hostages were so close, he ordered the rebels to go outside and prepare to shoot at the guards that were there, after all, the moment they had the hostages and dealt with the people inside the room, the guards outside would notice, and would need to be taken care of fast.

So, Zex was ready, once Vardon opened the door and rushed in, the Nautolan would follow closely behind, using the jedi as a shield with his lightsaber, while the Nautolan was the sword that dealt with the kidnappers, who weren't many inside the room, they didn't have the chance to do anything to the hostages as the blaster bolts hit them. In an instant, the room was cleared, the jedi, the rebel, the hostages, some heavily injured kidnappers and some corpses, some blaster bolts could be heard outside shortly after that, the rebels outside doing their part of the job "You will be all right, let us get you out, okay?" The Nautolan said with a smile on his face as he reassured the hostages, releasing them, now they just had to get them out of there.

With a violent hum, Vardon's lightsaber ignited, sharing it's blue character with the surrounding environment. It turned out to be quite unnecessary as Zex took care of them quickly, barely giving them a chance to react to the intruders. The padawan threw a concerned eye to the hostages - it took no genius to recognise that they needed to be removed from the site and taken back to their homes where warm beds, family and perhaps most importantly; medical attention, awaited. While the Neutolan was quick to take care of them and ensure that they'd come along, the Jedi had speedy look around the room. While it had a multitude of crates stacked against the walls and a few chairs and a table located centrally, it was unremarkable overall.

Seeing as they were done in the house and the guards present were taken out, Vardon thought that it might be best to leave lest they wanted to risk being caught by the pizza delivery crew, or whatever errand they were running. Soon, he started channeling the former captives out the same way as they came in. Exiting the building at the end of the group, Vardon made eye contact with a couple of the rebels who were watching outside. It seemed like they thought that the coast was clear at least. Still, they were not in safety yet. With that in mind, Vardon kept his lightsaber at hand and on the lookout for new enemies as he walked around one of the rusty speeders.

What was this?

The Rebels had thought they had won themselves the day? By rescuing the pitiful Organa royalty?

No, House Antilles would not stand for it. And neither, would he.

Roman had taken personal interest in this mission, after all, it was his house that had been disgraced in Alderaan and he sought to exert vengeance on those that had wronged his ancestors. House Organa was the beginning, for the others would follow suit closely behind. It was no surprise that rebels had arrived at the base to free the hostages. Resistance had been futile as the Jedi and Rebellion managed to infiltrate and gather the prisoners for a rescue. If only, life were that simple...

He chuckled underneath the visage of the durasteel helm, his armored form becoming visible as it turned a corner around the Hover truck. The Sith was standing approximately 20 meters in front of the Jedi, crimson lightsaber already ignited in his right grip as a pair of crimson orbs glanced upon the light sider. It was almost as if Vardon represented a beacon, a beacon of good and truth in a sea of eternal darkness. Head tilted into an arrogant angle as he chuckled towards the male.

"I sincerely hope you didn't expect this to be so easy..." Roman said, a malicious grin coming to his face while the force displaced and wrapped around him. It was as if it behaved like a serpent, ready to lash out when commanded. The armored form began to advance towards the Jedi.

Kynigos had taken an interest to deal with affairs across multiple former Sith controlled planets. He had heard of the Jedi attempting to put Alderaan under their influence, which angered the Acolyte. Desiring to enter action, he would quickly arrive at Alderaan to protect the hostages. The Acolyte would quickly arrive at the scene, clad in his black battle armor, the force saturating around him. Soon enough, he stood about 15 meters from his comrade Roman as he ignited his saber in his left hand, a crimson glow of hatred exerting.

The silent rage of The Shadow was palpable as he waited patiently for the battle to begin. He began to move towards the Jedi with Roman, keeping about 4 meters behind him. The dark side enveloped him as he was ready to lash it on the foolish Jedi.

Well, what looked like the hardest part of the mission was done, but Zex knew from experience that things could suddenly have a turn for the worst, such would the case be right now, as Zex followed Vardon out of the building, switching weapons and holding his blaster rifle instead of the pistol. His eyes would widen in surprise as he saw not one, but two sith "Shit..." He simply muttered, it was the first time he had ever encountered sith, well, sith that he actually planned on fighting, at least.

The first thing he did after saying that was using his jump boots to get himself on top of the one story building, crouching behind its parapet and using it as cover as he aimed towards the closest sith and simply shot at him four times with his blaster rifle, aiming at his center of mass and pulling the trigger as fast as his hands could without losing enough accuracy to not hit. The Nautolan was, of course, being wary of the other sith as well, but since he was just behind the other he could see him just fine and would be able to react properly if either of them attacked back

Something felt off. As he walked, the padawan wondered what it could be, his mind constantly racing to the same conclusion: A dark presence. Even though he might've been somewhat prepared to encounter Sith it was undeniable that he was surprised to see two of them. Observing them for a few short moments, he spoke "The light will see us through" His voice was bright, loud enough for his ally to hear clearly.

Taking a few steps back along the short side of the five seated truck, Vardon turned to make his way along the long side of the vehicle to the opposite end of it. Naturally, this was done while maintaining a watchful eye on the two Sith by peering above the roof of the truck, always prepared to react to their actions. Another truck was parked behind the one he initially stood by, leaving a one meter gap between them. Deciding that it was a good spot, Vardon stayed by the gap and watched his opponents on the other side.

Embracing the force as it enveloped and coursed through him, the padawan stood ready, remaining light on his feet with the saber held in his right hand. The taller Sith's taunt would not receive any real verbal counter - Vardon had in fact expected opposition, but not of this calibre. Instead, the blue lightsaber was once again ignited, shortly followed by a loud voice "Surrender!"

Roman tilted his head into a wayward angle, appearing almost as if he was caught in a side thought while in reality, his eyes simply scanned and measured all new stimuli that occurred. So as the Jedi's ally made his entrance outside, he too was easily spotted by the powerful acolyte. Left handed fingers twitched and suddenly jerked back towards his own torso in the form of a fist, knuckles smacking against the breastplate of his armor as if he was pounding his own chest in a taunt.

In actuality, the gesture reflected into a simple and effective force attack upon the second Rebel @Versok . A column of force swept forwards and shoved the man's legs out under him as he utilized the power of his jump boots to leap upwards. Considering the Rebel was without a jetpack, the attack would place him at mercy of mere aerodynamics, causing him to suddenly yank backwards.
Roman was hopeful that this in accordance with Kynigos' attack would shove the man against the wall he was trying to jump over and possibly even tumble back onto the ground in an unwelcoming crash landing. In either case, it served to interrupt the Rebel's plan to fire upon him. The four bolts never came. However, Roman's lightsaber readied regardless, into a defensive position capable of blocking if somehow the rebel was able to re-affirm his shots.

Roman tracked Vardon's movements around the truck, and he simply mirrored them, circling counter clockwise in order to move closer into melee range. The crimson glow of the lightsaber still cast its shadow over the Sith's armored torso, ready to engage or defend if necessary. The force pooled across his body, gathering into a locus on the palm of his left hand as if it drained the life from Alderaan, plunging the land around them into an unnatural cold. The force did not unleash however, but remained ready in the form of a shimmering red glow across the Sith's hand.

The battle between the Sith and Jedi began quite quickly, however with the Jedi and his rebel scum as cowards. As he saw Zex attempt at fleeing and obtaining cover. With a mood of distaste towards the rebels desire to not fight him on the ground, he would concentrate the force into pushing him at the torso, the intention being to interrupt his jump and force him into the wall below the roof. While he did this, Kynigos would keep his lightsaber in a defensive position and his senses active for any attacks from either the Jedi or the possibility of Zex firing.

Whenever he would push the Rebel, Kynigos would proceed to run towards the location of Zex, closing the distance. This would be further modified by a minor use of the force augmenting his speed. As usual he kept his lightsaber defensively ready to deflect shots as well as charged at him. The distance would be covered within a few seconds as he approached Zex, ready to strike him down.

It was fortunate that Vardon had kept a close eye on the Sith, ensuring that he could see that they were about to start some shenanigans as he moved by the trucks. With only a short amount of time to react, the padawan glanced to the side momentarily, seeing his ally peripherally and erected a force barrier to shield his ally from being yanked by the shorter Sith. While the attacking foe was formidable in his own right, this attack could be neutralised by the powerful padawan. The slight maneuver wouldn't take much time, power or concentration and aside from suddenly stopping in place for the short duration, it would not work to completely disrupt the flow of his movements. Naturally, the Sith offence would work to put Vardon on high alert and his eyes would track the actions of his foes carefully. Remaining attentive and ready to react, he continued moving along the truck.

It soon became apparent that the attacker who's attack he had blocked was running at a surprisingly high speed for a man of his stature whilst the other approached Vardon's position. It was disappointing that they had both decided to refrain from surrendering, but that would not be allowed to deter him. In the end, the light would see him through. Looking upon the one approaching him, he spoke calmly "What are you doing?" whilst throwing a glance as the man's hand. It was a simple question, but dialogue would be the best path towards deescalating the scene. Still, he was prepared for continued violence if that was their path of choice. Imbued in the force, Vardon stood light on his feet, ready to face any challenge. Naturally, his focus laid on the Sith who had approached his position, but the other one would still be within his field of vision.

The padawan would hold off from attacking the one in front of him with the blade for now and was content in knowing that his saber, the force and more importantly, the light, was with him. The two agents of darkness in his presence was a strong reminder of why they needed to prevail. Never, would the darkness be allowed to envelop and extinguish the light.

Well, Zex was really glad he wasn't fighting alone at the moment, seeing how Vardon and the barrier was the only reason why he hadn't just been thrown against a wall because of the sith. The other one would still be able to use the force on him, however, thankfully for the Nautolan, jump boots weren't jet boots, the action was almost instantaneous and by the time the other one yanked him, he would only make Zex jump a bit backwards, but since he wasn't sticking to the wall, it wouldn't make him not land on the top of the building and hit the wall instead, not on its own, at least. Zex would land safely on top of the building just like it was planned and position himself as he wanted. One of the sith, however, was moving towards him very fast, probably using some kind of force trickery, the Nautolan wouldn't just let him get closer without a fight, though.

While the sith used the force to run towards him, Zex simply shot at him three times, aiming towards his center of mass, while it was true that he was going very fast, he was also running in a straight line towards him, he was an easy target and would need to stop using the force and slow down in order to try and deflect those shots. The nautolan was, of course, still standing behind the parapet, crouching behind it and sticking out his body only as much as it was needed to shoot, making himself a very hard target to be hit from below there, for he had the high ground.

Roman glanced with a slight look of annoyance as the Padawan formulated a force barrier against his attack, allowing the Nautolan to return onto the roof with safety. The red glowing hand dropped down to his side as the force coiled and displaced, the prepared force power launching immediately in the form of a staggering telekinetic push. It was directed towards the Padawan in front of him, intending to push him off balance so that the Sith would gain a momentary advantage in positioning. @Pyrenees Simultaneously, Roman shot forwards with a quick burst of force speed, rapidly arriving within melee range to engage directly. Left handed blade came to life in his left grip to rest in a guarding position while the right handed blade swung in a horizontal slash, aimed at Vardon's left towards his right at the shoulder level. He expected the Jedi to counter with his own weapon though he had registered the location of the second Rebel as well as was aware of the Jedi's ability to utilize the free hand. In his mind, he had a defensive contingency in place for such a scenario.

Roman was fast and powerful, his armored figure moving with a discernible blur as the Sith and Jedi would likely engage in combat. His attack on Vardon was timed as the second Rebel shot upon Kynigos, enabling the Sith to facilitate single opposition for the moment. His positioning also enabled him to maintain his adversary in direct line of fire from the Rebel; if Zex wanted to fire upon him, he would have to take the risk of hitting Vardon too. Heart raced as an evil smirk laced upon his face, albeit hidden underneath the Durasteel helm.

Let the battle begin..

He would run quickly using the force employed into his speed. Kynigos was prepared, however, for the three shots aimed and fired at him. Noting their trajectory, he took a simple swing of his saber, which was already in a defensive stance, and deflected them in a simple rotation of the saber with the intention to return to their sender.

He would arrive near the base of the building Zex was and keep his saber at a defensive position, about 10 meters from the base, glaring at the rebel scum attempting to have a high ground.

“Run like the rebel scum you are... Face me like a true man...” he said with a cold darkness within his voice. The force coiled around him as he would keep all sides covered and sensible in case he or his ally would send an attack at him. He would wait for the rebel to make a mistake or actually come and fight him, otherwise he kept his ground as the force recharged through him.

Just as he looked back to the taller Sith, Vardon realised what was about to happen and braced for the staggering force attack. Despite being pushed back a couple of steps, he remained unharmed and focused. It was fortunate that the attack was not of a more severe nature. Obviously, it wasn't the only thing which the dark sider had in store for the padawan as he could soon be seen rushing towards him with an immense speed. Vardon could see that his opponent was cleverly trying to position himself so that the padawan would block shots from the Neutolan behind him - this did, however, mean that the Sith was going to need to step in the narrow path between the two trucks.

Almost simultaneously, Vardon produced a telekinetic attack to push hard against the other's (@Faded ) lower legs. Considering that the Sith was rushing towards him at full speed, the attack would cause him to fall down face first, just as he got out from between the trucks. Lest his lightsabers were turned off, the circumstances suggested that they would impale Roman as he fell.

Seeing the foe fall, Vardon took a quick yet careful step forth with his right foot with his blue lightsaber infront of him. His eyes were set keenly on the man - he was prepared to react if anything unexpected were to happen. In the unlikely case of an attack at this point, his saber would be well positioned to defend against it. Leading his blade with his right hand, Vardon leaned a little closer with his left leg behind the right leg, both in a slight bend. His blade was directed at the body part closest to him, namely the Sith's head. There was a real risk of the sabre tip causing the vulnerable foe to literally loose his mind. Naturally, the jedi kept paying attention to his opponents and maintained a readiness to react to threats.

Well, just like it was expected, the sith managed to deflect the shots, fortunately, the Nautolan just had to crouch a bit more to be totally covered by the parapet and not be hit by any of those bolts, Zex decided, however to change back to his blaster pistol, which only took a moment while behind cover, and also grab one of his concussion grenades for what he was about to do next.

While Kynigos was busy talking and doing nothing but pointless bravado, the Nautolan took the chance to interrupt him, throwing the concussion grenade at him, set to detonate on impact. At the same time Zex would pull his blaster's trigger twice, the sith would probably be able to only focus on either deflecting the bolts or using the force to push away the concussion grenade, but not both.

Roman had to give some credit to the Jedi, his tenacity was impressive as was his unyielding nature. However, instead of engaging directly against him in saber combat, his opponent relied on a force push to delay his advancement. It was a cowardice method, but seemingly it was effective. Instead of approaching as he desired, he felt his legs give out underneath him. The armored figure launched in air and instinctively, depressed both thumbs of the blades to disengage the plasma weapons as he landed onto the ground with a jarring thud. Instead of stopping though, he allowed the momentum to carry him forwards with a quick roll into a crouching stance.

Back braced against the sides of the truck as the red weapon ignited once more in a guarding position across his torso. Slightly dazed, sulfuric orbs glared towards the Jedi as
Roman pushed off with his left leg and snapped the primary right handed weapon in a clockwise arch to block the Jedi's stab. Instead of engaging further, the Sith pushed off on his back leg once more, increasing the distance between the combatants and instead merely paced slowly. His attention was on his opponent directly facing him though he was well aware of the second Rebel's position through his peripheral vision.
