The lightsaber is the weapon of a Jedi Knight, though a true Jedi rarely uses it to settle a dispute. It is better to out think and out maneuver your opponent. But when forced, a Jedi strikes quickly and decisively. In peaceful times, the lightsaber is only a symbol of the fight we wage within ourselves - to keep us from taking the wrong path.
- Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker

The early morning hours of the Coruscanti Temple seemed to be the most active. Recovering from flight lag, Ebberla seemed to be up earlier that most as she readjusted to the light cycles of Coruscant after having spent most her time in flight on her starfighter as well as visiting on the Jedi Flagship, The Light of the Force. Though no matter how much time she would spend earth-bound, there was a missing reassurance and comfort that worlds did not seem to match that she had found in the stars.

However, she thought to better distract herself during this readjustment with training. The Jedi Master found she was able to get her ground feet quicker by focusing her mind and body on exercises. She left an open invitation for Jedi of all levels to join her in one of the temple's large training rooms; her equipment and tools prepared for her students to use at some point during the training session this morning.

She stood in the room's center, hands folded behind her as she felt herself get too antsy from standing still. Ebb rocked back and forth on her feet, feeling the pressure change in the padded flooring beneath her as she shifted her weight. Even as a Jedi Master, she had still found herself limited in her patience, a trait she seemed to struggle with consistently, however, more recently she found it worst but never took the time to bother with finding a reason.

Her senses opened up to the Force as she checked the crono, she knew her pupils would be arriving soon, some early, some late, some just right on time. Nevertheless there was something she loved about teaching her fellow brethren and the war with the Imperium seemed to get in the way. It wasn't too often she was able to do such classes and she was looking forward to see who would arrive.

'Excellent!' It is Master Daw again whom Lutomi met with last when she intervened after her ear caught a most in depth question, and there made the acquaintance of numerous other Padawans set upon discussing Philosophies and Politics to be exact.

Lutomi bowed as she entered the area, a habit of her's regarding hallowed grounds, and once more to Master Daw directly after she made her approach.

She had it in her mind that this will be a great lesson. The fighting style she is sure to find a step up from her own. She is quite eager to witness it in action and see what she is able to pick up on it. Her last amazing lesson was to observe Knight Lucien Fang. That man was quick at maneuvering, so much that he blew her mind. His Lightsaber Form VI, absolutely superb.

"Master Daw, I am honored to be able to partake in your class, and pleased to see you again."

'Well this will certainly be interesting.' Master Ebberla Daw, a name Hunter had heard many times in his time as a padawan, had offered a class, and Hunter, feeling left out in that he had never met the highly spoken of teacher, had signed up. This time he made an effort to be on time.

Upon entering the room where the class was scheduled to be held, Hunter came to stand before Master Daw and bowed, "Master Daw, I am honored to be in your class."

When he finished speaking he turned his head to the other padawan and smiled as to not be rude.

Rumor had spread through the Padawans of the Jedi Temple. Master Ebberla had come back from her voyage recently and was teaching a class early this morning. Rowan had never had the pleasure of meeting the highly regarded Jedi Master, so he made it a point to attend the class. As he meandered through the halls in search of the training room in question, Rowan stumbles upon some young Jedi Knights and Padawans gossiping about the class they were about to attend. He follows the pack of students to a large training room where he notices Master Ebberla standing in the center with a look of continuing impatience stricken across her face. Perhaps Rowan was late. It did not matter though the class had not yet begun.

Rowan enters the entryway and nods as he passes the other classmates. "Good morning." Rowan spoke to each individual. Also impatient, Rowan was not very social with the other students and was eager to see what the class held for him. Rowan approached the Master and bowed humbly and spoke "Good morning Master Ebberla."

After the dispatch of pleasantries, Rowan assumed his place in the room and awaited the instruction of Master Ebberla.

Well, time to see what this class is abo--wha?

That was the first thought to go through Cotan's head this morning, as he went on his way to his class - all due to the fact that he'd been beat to it by a Chiss. While it wasn't particularly odd - Force Sensitives came from all species, and not ever Chiss lived in the Ascendancy - Cotan was surprised all the same, what with the Ascendancy's status as an ally of the Sith Imperium.

Ah, well. He'd figure out what was up later. Quickly walking in through the door, Cotan nodded at Lutomi and Hunter, the only two students he currently recognized, before raising a brow at the Chiss - who, thankfully, was facing away with him. Cotan didn't want the class to start with an awkward conversation.

After looking around the room, the Nabooinian bowed to the Jedi who would be teaching them. "Master Daw. Pleased to make your acquaintance."

Minion walked through the halls of the great temple of Coruscant. He had been training one of his Padawan's in the way of Djem So earlier and had gotten side tracked. He knew that he would be setting a bad example coming in late but he wished to learn from the Master still. Her expertise in the Force would hopefully help him in bettering his Padawan's. Turning corner after corner he came upon the room in which he was told they'd be training in.

Taking a breath he walked through the doors. Bowing respectfully to the Jedi Master before greeting her. "Always a honor, Master Daw." He couldn't recall ever talking to her in person but he had frequently seen her in the temples and knew of her. And from what his Padawan, Chantang, told him she was very wise. This was expected of course though.

He looked towards the 4 Padawan's already in the room. Great a crowd He nodded towards them as they would be equals in this training session, all learning from the same teacher.

More Jedi than expected filtered into the training room. Some faces were familiar as some must have been new as they greeted Master Daw as the entered the room. Ebb gave a smile and return greetings back to each of the padawans and the Knight that attend. She could sense their eagerness and excitement. Their enthusiasm and energy will be needed to get through training today. The Corellian Master gave a nod of her head and greeted everyone.

"Good morning, Jedi." Ebberla gave a small smile, "Lets get started." She unclipped her lightsaber hilt, gripping it lightly in her hand. "Form Five, the Way of the Krayt Dragon or what I prefer, the Perseverance Form. As you know there are two schools within Form V, Shien and Djem So, both are used to turn your opponents attack back on them. Shien was created turn blaster attacks back at your enemies, Djem So was created in focus on dueling, overwhelming your opponent with strengthened blows, perseverance." Ebberla held up her hilt, the emitter pointed upwards.

"This is the correct way to hold your blade." She flipped it, "Reversed grip will not give you the ability to fully cover all your angles, you're limited and you will be able to absorb more blows with the saber while it is cushioned between your forefinger and thumb." Ebberla placed both hands on the hilt and held it in a ready position, "Two hands, more control, more strength, more mobility." She ignited her blade swung in several angles, "Your blade is an extension of yourself, and therefore you must hold control over it."

The Jedi Master extinguished her blade and walked over to the table and removed some training remotes, tossing one to each of her students in the classroom. She took one for herself and activated it, the orb floating beside her as she continued to explain her lesson.

"We'll start with Shien, its a more proactive approach to defense against blaster weapons, not sonic weapons or slugthrowers, which I suggest to avoid all together. Shien includes broader swings and strokes of the blade, you want to cover all your angles, left, right, center, constantly moving. Angle your blade so you may deflect your enemy's blaster bolts back to them." Ebb waved her hand activating her remote. It released a collection of three bolts, seen commonly with multi-shot weapons. She flicked her wrist, the first bolt angled back into the training floor; a quick rotation of her forearm and she angling the bolts back at the droid deactivating it.

"Broad strokes, control over yourself, and let the Force guide your judgement. Now, I want everyone to practice with their remotes. The bolts are set for a mild jolt, it will wake you up but you won't harm you. With everyone using their remotes you'll have to watch out for your neighbor's reflection, which will make this a bit more challenging than what you believe it to be. When you're ready, start."

Lutomi nodded with a smile to each of her fellow students who arrived with her.

She had a good deal of experience with blaster bolt deflection, especially having been assigned to the invasion simulation where she had the honor of observing Lucien Fang, a Master of Form VI. But her specialty is Form IV. The Form taught in this class should require an increase in stamina, but it will seem like nothing compared to that of the combat simulation which lasted hours!

She raised a hand as the orb came flying towards her and halted it using the Force. Her last training lesson involved Tutaminis. She hoped to utilize all of her skills here today, rather than allow herself to suffer a blaster burn!

She began to focus and draw on the Force as she claimed herself a spot, sending her training remote floating towards the wall. She wouldn't settle for anything less than grueling in this training session. She loved it. She had already made a commitment to attempt to deflect her blasts directly under the remote rather than into it. She learned that it was a real pain to keep repeatedly blasting her remote out of service. She wouldn't have such a hold-up today!

Lutomi ignited her blade. The sound wave echoed throughout the vaulted room. It's sound would probably make the skin crawl, of any Padawan who has ever before faced a Sith. The blood red laser, a symbol of her past, and still perhaps her bias towards the superiority of her synthetic crystal. But she no longer takes notice of her differences, because none of them matter now. Then the droid fired and Lutomi reacted instinctively.

Every time.

Unlike his last class - where he made his exasperation with deflection (let alone anything else involving blasters) known, Cotan simply smiled and nodded, his training saber quickly jumping to his hand and activating as he found his spot - and his remote.

While Cotan only had minimul knowledge of the fifth form of lightsaber combat, he knew enough about it to use the basic defensive maneuvers - and besides, curved-hilt sabers could be useful for the fifth form too, right?

Yeah, that's right.

Just so long as he didn't get hit with a blaster shot.

After a small moment to calm himself, drawing on the force, Cotan signalled for the remote to fire. His saber flashed out quickly to meet the bolt, batting it into the ground at his feet.

Yay, one for one.

Rowan drew a simple training saber form his belt. He assumed a spot in the room far from the other students. He knew Shii-Cho and was only slightly familiar with Makashi. Never once had he experience Shien. This was going to be a good class for him but this would be a slow process. He placed the remote on the ground and it began to hover, and ignited his saber and dropped into a defensive position. The remote lit up and began to flash many lights signaling a successful start up. Rowan hesitant nodded at the remote to began the program. Shien form was sloppy and ungraceful. The first shot came towards Rowan and he missed the first round and was shocked. He mumbles some words of frustration. Rowan hated being bad at something, more especially anything dealing with combat. Shien form would drive him to madness. He would get the hang of it though, he refused to quit.

Rowan buckles down and nods again at the remote once more failing in his attempt. Same situation, same result. Rowan closed his eyes and focused himself, he would need to bring his frustration under control. Meditation brought him some peace and clarity, the force began to flow through his body tingling every point of his limbs. He could feel the energy of his serenity. He opened his eyes, once more signaling the remote to begin. It fired, he deflected the bolt straight up into the ceiling. Not the best placement or even the best technique but it was progress.
