Angel raised his chin up only slightly. Suddenly his right arm slid back in slow motion - elbow pointing back, until his arm couldn't go any further. The silk bag stayed in place - floating - as if frozen in time. Angel left hand moved upwards at his side, palm towards the floor with all his fingers fully extended.

With hundreds of taps and 'clings' noise sounding, the bag exploded. A hundred of the needles floated in a orb of Angels force. They where not individually being held, so each point faced a random area. The orb shape then turned into a wall shape and suddenly the wall of needles moved forward, breaking a part - gaps in the wall of needles formed as it flew towards Obelisk.

Angel knew the apprentice would have a breaking point, and so, he would do what he could to force him to reach it. From three to two needles, then to a hundred, Angel seemed reckless, but this was how he worked. His apprentice would know Angel as such.

The overwhelming barrage of needles was enough to make Obelisk pause for the briefest of seconds as he quickly decided what to do. The gaps were wide enough for him to fit his body through if he jumped just right. Instead of weighing options, he acted and leapt with all his might, covering his body with his arms and tucking his head down onto his chest.

He barely felt the sting as the needles dug into his lower legs, being unable to avoid the assault entirely. His nerves, damaged from a childhood event, were unable to send full signals of pain to his brain. From his jump he landed on his belly, slid a few few and then stood up to face Angel.

Obelisk's leg muscles forced out the needles as he dropped into a crouch. The apprentice panted heavily as he faced off his master. The training was intense, like nothing he had ever gone through in his life. "What next, Master?"

Once his student had made it through Angel let his grip go on the needles. Tiny clicking tunes filled the air as the needles scattered across the training room floor.

Angel's eyes shifted then studied the same bench as before, this time focusing on a empty velvet silk bag. With the same method, a small jerk then a slide, the bag flew and hovered before Angel. His left hand came forward and sweeped across the air, as if to bat the bag without touching it. The bag rushed forward, and if his student didn't catch it, it would limply fall onto the students face.

Clean up...If medical attention is necessary.. look on the main floor. With a twist Angel shifted his body weight to turn around and began to stride towards the hall, If you wish...tomorrow we will increase your training level...

"Yes, Master." Obelisk replied mentally as he stood upright and hung his lightsaber hilt on the clip of his belt. He gripped the bag loosely, having caught it before it could touch his face, and opened it. He walked to the bench, stepping over the blood tipped needles from his legs, and sat down. His wounds were superficial and there was no pain so he paid them little mind for the moment. Instead he set about to cleaning the room. First he seperated the bloodied needles from the clean ones, using the force to pull them to the seat at his side. Each needle was tinted with crimson and gleaming in the light.

He struggled to draw the rest of the needles into the bag itself, taking care not to puncture the soft material. The entire time he replayed his training with Angel. Within the matter of minutes he had performed feats he wasn't even aware he knew. Reflecting on this, Obelisk felt he understood more now than he had ever in his whole life.

Obelisk returned to his quarters after he had finished cleaning up, the training room left in pristine condition. He would rest for the next day's lessons.

[The next day...]

Angel stood with his back to the door that he expected his apprentice would enter through. His image was distorted under a heat-like wave that traveled along the creases of his cloak and pants; the force visibly manifested itself around him. With tensed and stiff muscles his right hand pressed flat up against his side, fingers digging into crinkled pants. Left hand raised to his face level, balled except for his pointer and middle finger which pressed to the temple of his exotic mask.

Today Angel was ready to exhaust his student, to force his student loose himself in Angel's chaotic world. Everyday their training would dive deeper into Angel's mind, though it seemed so far his apprentice was oblivious to it. He had made no comments, inquires, or seemed to be trying to measure up Angel - which did not bother this 'Angel of Death' albeit learning more about ones opponent and environment was key to victory.

Manipulation..., Angel cast his thoughts out to the mind of Obelisk when he would enter, Do you know how?

"No, I only recently became aware of my connection to the Force. Yesterday was the first time I've actually been able to use it." His mind spoke and he found his voice echoing within his own mind. Obelisk entered the room and gazed upon Angel's form. His image was distorted by a heatwave like effect.

Just like before the room seemed different than its normal appearance, the same as yesterday. He had no clue how it had been managed and was curious how it had been done. He was only grasping at straws the day before, and managed to channel into the seemingly limitless power. "How is it done?" He wondered aloud in his mind.

((OOC: Sorry about the long wait, I was doing a bunch of planning at one time!))

Manipulation...starts with knowledge. Slowly, black fog slithered across the ground towards Obelisk. The ghostly thin smoke then thickened and became a black blanket that covered the ground and the walls, soaking up the world around them, creating a pit of blackness. Before that, however, a wobbling chrome platform appeared below Obelisk.

The heat wave around the figure that was now the Angel of Death was gone. Instead Angel was once again in the role of his world, covered in familiar robes of the training session the day before. Both his hands relaxed to his sides well his hilt snapped from his belt to the grip of his fingers. This time, his custom hilt rested under the tattered strings of his robes cuffs. Learn about those you fight...if you care about them or not...

Obelisk glanced down at the platform that formed before him and could not help but feel uneasy as it swayed beneath him. A chill running up his spine as the rest of the room once again changed into a black void. His orange eyes seemed to glow through the slits in his mask as he stepped forward on the platform. His right hand went to his waist and grasped the cylindrical lightsaber hilt and with a snap removed it and held it to the side.

He had to gain knowledge to learn how to manipulate with the force. From what he could tell of Angel there was nothing shown to say who he was and how he felt. The lessons had been conducted in a cool sterile manner. No emotion, no hesitation. There was nothing, like the void that surrounded them.

Obelisk reached out with the Force, pressing back at the illusion presented by Angel. At his feet the lifeless platform seemed to stabilize and change color to a sandy brown. He pictured his homeworld of Iridonia and the harsh terrain. The void would be filled if he wanted to succeed.

At his own pace, he brought up his right hand with his fingers fully extended and slowly started to close them. If effected his apprentice would feel thousands invisible fingers crawling up his body, from toe upwards. In time the fingers would slowly take over Obelisk's body. Once in control pressure would start to overwhelm every part of Obelisk's being; crushing him, but done to maintain a ever building pressure.

Below, Angel made the sandy platform that his apprentice started to vanish completely - ripping away what he had done. In it's place the floor engulfed in Angel's never ending chaotic world.

Sometimes...knowing isn't enough...sometimes pain is unavoidable... A sudden hiss echoed as Angel's 'snowing' beam shot out into the air, slanted, digging into the training rooms floor under the black abyss. Angel still stood as if a solider at his post: standing in place, back to Obelisk. What would you do?...when there is no other outcome?

Obelisk felt none of the fingers on his skin, his sense of feeling dulled by extensive nerve damage. His eyes stared daggers at the floor as it melted away into nothingness and exposed the endless black. His body told him he was falling but his mind knew better, still he swayed uneasily.

The snapp-hiss of Angel's lightsaber was all it took for Obelisk to focus his attention and ignite his weapon as well. From captaining a freighter to training in a secret enclave, he hadn't taken the time to truly appreciate the gravity of it all. The Force seemed to speak in his mind and he responded with the thought, "Create an Outcome."

The response was in his voice but instead of its regular low-tone it was deeper and raspy. Pain was unavoidable, he agreed but made no comment on it. He wished he could feel as most beings could. He lacked the ability to agonize over the pain of a cut or relish in the touch of a loved one.

In his mind Obelisk pictured the crash site, him sprawled out on the dirt and his brother unconscious at the pilot's seat. He could feel flames of pain in his mind, tearing at his consciousness. Both of his eyes widened as he attempted to project the scene into the room.

With the answer, Angel did not correct it nor make any motion to say his apprentice was right. Everything Angel said and did was, in the end, left up to Obelisk to translate into his own meaning and take what he personally thought was important to remember. Angel sought not to be a righteous teacher but to lead his students to their own views in areas they had yet to truly explore.

His left leg twisted over his right, snapping his body over to the other side. With that motion started his grip on Obelisk faltered then completely lost it's control. Angel sped forward, lightsaber snapping upwards, slanted from a downwards position towards Obelisk's right hip. His right hand held in front of him, dipping deep into his force powers to ready himself for any move that Obelisk may attempt in the gap between them.

Obelisk shifted his stance as Angel rushed at him. He stood with his right side facing the man, minimizing the target he presented. He felt the incoming attack, just as the day before, and parried it by turning his blade so that it was facing the floor and swinging to the side. The lightsabers crackled as they connected for a fraction of a second before bouncing off.

The apprentice focused harder, pushing himself to create an illusion of Iridonia.

Bursting out of his hand Angel pushed out with the force as he had once before. Well his lightsaber reflected back he let it stay at his side this time, deciding to play along with his students seemly insistent need to purify Angels world.

Some sand mixed and twisted, turning into tar pits; inside one pit a single hand reached out, then another hand and soon hands reached out from pits across the land as they started to bubble and send off a noxious gas. The beauty of Iridonia, Angels own birth planet, became tainted and wicked. Gas clouds thickened and blocked off the 'natural' sky, casting darkness over the land, corrupting the last bit of it into a dimming grey.

This is...my start. As his apprentice 'shared' his heritage(or so Angel assumed, though did not know), Angel choose to share his own.

The apprentice flew back with the power of Angel's push, and he landed on the ground with a roll. Recover, that was what his mind told him to do. Reaching out with his right hand he stopped his rotation and pushed himself up onto a knee. With a glance about the room he noted how it was starting to warp once again.

Obelisk's nose crinkled beneath his mask as the room changed to an Iridonia he could not recognize. The hands that reached out, and grasped at the air, seemed sickly with talons protruding from their tips. A contribution from Obelisk to his master's world. And that was just the start.

Behind Obelisk a ship, gutted and disfigured, began to shape.

Angel did not immediately reject his apprentices 'add-ons' to his world - they seemed fitting. Obelisk was learning more then just force powers, or so it seemed. Maybe he was beginning to understand and work with Angel, rather then just answer like a dog?

Angel studied the ship his student created, it seemed out of place at first, but so was everything Angel cast. It was noted but then swept to the side of his mind.

Right hand fingers curled up into a fist except for the pointer. His one intruding finger rose up and pointed to the ship. It dissipated, and so did the talons which his student had added. Be aware, that those stronger can reject your world...defending your mind is possible for you as well...to those weaker. Angel would make his apprentice aware of limitations which could be used against him, but also for his own advantage. One could never be almighty, even if those stronger could give off that impression; a impression Angel knew all to well about, with two grandmaster's for his masters sometimes their powers seemed limitless.

Obelisk watched in astonishment as his creations were simply erased with the wave of a finger. The ease at which it had been done created a dent in his confidence. But maybe that was it. He had been attempting to surpass Angel's maneuvers, foolishly. The bravado was unlike him and that forced him to actually think.

He had been limited by his narrow scope and approach. Obelisk had to evolve to the situation, not just oppose it. Adapt and overcome. He repeated the words in his mind like a practiced mantra, as he walked forward. The outstretched hands grasped at his robes, warping their appearance as they clung to the fabric. Tears appeared as the cloth began to take on a wispy ethereal texture, like clouds wrapping around his thin form.

No longer guided by instinct alone, he heeded Angel's words. Obelisk had to build up barriers around his mind to defend it. He willed the memories of his crash to the surface of his thoughts.

Angels blade swept along the sandy illusion before him, creating a burnt half circle in front of him. A black whole started to form beneath Angels figure, growing in size, pulling the land around him inside it.

The student, Obelisk, had progressed through his teachings even further. It was time to give a reward; give Obelisk a chance to have some control over his own lessons. Angel's face had yet to change in expression since they met. Fiery crimson colored eyes reflected nothing but indifference towards his student even well rewarding him, If you have questions for me...now is the time to ask.

Obelisk's mask hid the expression of suprise as Angel's world was sucked into the black hole he had created. The thought that maybe it wasn't an illusion came to the back of his mind but he quickly cast it away. It only looked real, but that was the point. Obelisk understood that more now.

Locking eyes with his master the apprentice furrowed his brow beneath the mask as he pondered on what to ask. Philosophy and history could be researched so any questions regarding those would be wasteful. Instead he would take a different approach, "I want to be able to wield the force and the lightsaber together."

There are many skills which combines the two...Master Malice could give you further lessons in such things...though, one that does not combine yet aid is enhancing your speed through your connection. As you have....likely seen of me. Soon the whole world around them became sucked into the hole Angel had created. Combining mind trick and telekinesis with his illusion, he made it seem as if he and his apprentice where floating inside of it's gravity. His tattered robes floated above the ground, being pulled downwards as they fluttered and 'fought' against the anomaly.

Focus on your muscles, the blood that flows through them...use the force to create natural adrenaline to aid you...then use the force itself to be one with your body - in the area you wish to enhance.

Vord never needed to worry about combat, he avoided it all costs. It always seemed more rewarding to walk away from a fight than to engage in one. Normally Vord would have sought for ways to avoid notice.

But he was Obelisk now, not Vord. Obelisk was a different persona entirely now. He had been opened to the Force. It flowed through him now. He could feel his future would not be peaceful or easy. Conflict and hardship would await him.

Angel's words slithered through the apprentice's mind, being absorbed and scoured for every nugget of wisdom. He called upon the Force, energizing his body with it. His muscles twitched with newfound life and strength. Obelisk allowed the Force to augment his physical abilities.

Suspended in the space Angel had created Obelisk willed himself to move forward. With keen reflexes the apprentice twisted his body to gain momentum towards the floor.
