Nothing was more miserable for Thalia other than being stranded for days at a time. Her ship needed repairs, it was practically being held together with chewing gum at this point. She thought the next best thing was to save up and get a new ship, but that was near impossible as she lived on the bare minimum in order to get by day to day. She was lucky to get a job a few days or so, but it wasn't paying enough, she needed more, something bigger, something riskier. Something of course that will tie her into a contract before she could decide it was a bad idea.

So she was at the point she would do anything short of joining a strip club to earn credits and now she was in a speeder with other thieves as they rushed to their next destination. She managed to convince herself this work was fine, after all she stole from the dead, taking belongings and selling them with elaborate stories in order to get a bigger payout from eager buyers. This work though, was similar, expect they were still living, probably armed, while she only had her blaster, her satchel, and the skill of being small and nimble to fit into places most could not reach. It was probably why they chose to bring her along since she certainly did not look like she belonged in their group.

The speeder slowed and descended into the lower levels of the city and eventually came to a stop a couple blocks from the redezvous point. Thalia knew this was where she would exit the speeder and one of the thugs flicked her a comm device, "Call us when you're in." he grumbled, the words barely audible as they rose from his throat. The teen nodded and pocketed the device and continued on her way while the others would wait. She wasn't too sure on the details, other than the location and she needed to get inside to let the rest in, that's all her job would be they had assured her as much, but as far as to who owned this building, Thalia did not know, but she imagined someone with credits or else why would they strike there. Quietly she approached the building that reminded her of the shops from her home growing up, empty lower level, but upstairs looked as though it were occupied.

And so, she begun to look for a way inside.

She wouldn’t know it, but the leader of her little troupe had a bounty on his head. Marek had been tracking said bounty, and he also talked to a few locals to get enough information to know where and when he would strike. He didn’t know that the man traveled with a little group and how much extra complication that would add.

Marek had made his way over towards the building ahead of time, scaling up to the second story before cutting the glass to slip in. He couldn’t make out anyone else in the building on his HUD and he prepared for a confrontation as he quietly waited for his target to arrive.

After a bit of waiting, he was surprised to see a woman approaching. Even by her body language he could tell she wasn’t exactly comfortable here. She wasn’t the target, but he guessed she was affiliated somehow. Marek pondered for a moment, watching as the girl walked around the building.

When she wasn’t looking, he very quietly slid up the window he had jumped in through. There was a dumpster right below it that would give her easy access to haul herself up. Marek stepped back from the window and slipped into the shadows, waiting to see if she would lead his target inside. For now he would play the game of patience.

She was ignoring that gut feeling that told her something was wrong. The girl had reminded herself that the whole job was wrong but she was doing it anyways, she couldn't back out of it now. The credits would be too good to pass up and it would hopefully get her name out there as someone reliable in such jobs. Plus the area she was in gave her the chills regardless, it was rationalized within Thalia her instincts were just picking up on that.

Stepping lightly, she turned the corner and went down the ally, her eyes scanning the building to find some way to get her inside, preferably without breaking a window. However, there was a window, not broken, but opened. Thalia paused and looked around as though she expected someone to jump out with a holocam crew and yell she was being pranked and the real trouble was about to begin, but there was nothing of the sort (except that feeling she kept ignoring) that would tell her otherwise, something was threatening. Thalia then hoisted herself onto the top of the dumpster and with a small jump, grasped onto the sill of the window, her own strength impressive even to herself as she pulled herself up.

The home was dark when she looked inside and the girl pushed open the window some more before sliding inside the building. She adjusted her bag and pulled out the comm while she turned slowly in the living quarters that she had entered, "Hey, I'm in." she whispered into the comm, the crackle from the other end signaled the group got it and she knew they would be arriving shortly. Quietly, she pocketed the comm and walked over to the cushioned sofas and marbled tables, her fingers running along the surface as she imagined having such luxuries, never minding her gut twisting with anxiety as the feeling became more intense, ignoring the possibility she was not alone in this building.
