*He had been at a meeting on Naboo when he recieved word of the virus. Minutes later, he had recieved news of the attack on the Jedi Temple. Now that the Sith Lords had left, his shuttle approached Coruscant. His officers begged him not to go down, as he would be affected by the virus, but he made a possible life-altering decision: he would go back to Coruscant's surface. And, if worst came to worst, he would die within thirty hours. But, that was a risk he was willing to take in order to save the trillions of inhabitants that dwelled on Coruscant.
His shuttle entered the atmosphere and he ordered the pilot to circle around the Jedi Temple. The great symbol of piece and justice in the galaxy laid broken, the center spire missing and the ruins of said spire scattered throughout the area. Corpses of fallen Jedi, Bendu and Shadourian were lied on the ground. Some chose to burn the corpses, in honor of their fallen heroes and comrades. The remains of Sith and Kaleesh warriors were being loaded into ships to be done away with elsewhere.*
"Scum..."
*His shuttle arrived at the Senate Office Building and docked in the Chancellor's personal bay. Upon arriving in his office, he looked out the window to see the great symbol of freedom still smoking, flames scattered throughout the ground. He would seen need to be in contact with the surviving leaders of the three great orders, if not just the Jedi.
A small wave of tears started, but they didn't matter; he'd never be able to shed enough tears for this. Wiping the tears from his old face, he called for his aide to enter. When the aide did enter, she too was crying. He put an arm on her shoulder, and she smiled once more. He sat back down in his chair, ready to once again do his job.*
"Jani, Ein Nightblade told me of an organization known as Galactic Aid who cured Alderaan of the plague that now sweeps through our very streets. Find out how to contact them, and make it fast. If we don't move quickly, every living thing on this planet will be dead within the next twenty-four hours."
*She nodded, leaving him by himself to only worry, wonder...and hope.*
