Kalevala​

Kalevala is one of the titans of the Mandalorian Dominion, and one of its longest held worlds. The planet serves as a manufacturing center, as well as a shipyard, for the Dominion's war machine. The planet is circled by orbital shipyards, dedicated to churning out all kinds of spacecraft, from fighters to destroyers. Most of these shipyards are nationally owned by the Dominion's government, but there are a few privately owned shipyards above the planet. Upon the surface of the planet towering refineries and factories churn out all number of goods, from speeders and shuttles, to tanks and other instruments of war. Seeing as the planet is naturally of high value to the Dominion, there is a permanent naval presence above the planet to guard the shipyards, as well as a garrison full of Dominion soldiers on the surface to fend off potential attacks.

Socially, the people of Kalevala are staunch followers of Mandalorian values and ethics. Most that live upon the planet's surface have done so for many generations, and are old and powerful families within the Mandalorian society. The majority of those residents are of House Kryze, one of the oldest and more powerful of the Mandalorian Houses. The headquarters of House Kryze is located on Kalevala, and the largest concentration of its forces and assets are located there as well. House Kryze performs most of its business upon the world, and handles the governing of the planet.
