Nope, though I too am a big fan of Soviet history. I got the hat as a gift from a friend who went to Russia (all of my jealousy, all of it).

Thanks! I love it so much and it's incredibly warm, but I get weird looks if I wear it out and about, so it's mostly just for when my room becomes a refrigerator. >_>

People suck. Fortunately, they're alot less conservative here, I have a hammer and sickle shirt and a few other commie themed things (I know, a big contrast to the Victorian Lolita look, lol), but I still feel much less comfortable dressing like I do in my home town rather than in Melbourne, where there is a big alternative fashion scene.

Me in Afghanistan with a partial beard, as promised. This was pretty early in the tour, so it's only about a half inch long here. I'm pretty sure I've got better beard pics, but they were on someone elses camera, so I have to wait for them to upload them. I got it out to about two and a half full inches before I left. Now that I'm back to shaving, I notice it grows a lot faster....
