You do realize you're better off majoring in Music Ed than Performance. Performance majors get a piece of paper saying they can play their instruments. All you can really do with that is teach lessons, which is what you can do without it. ;)

Actually, it's required to take both. Performance is all fine and dandy, but if you don't know the theory and history of music, you won't get anywhere. Note all respectable musicians(NOT 'popular' musicians) performing at a high level of music have a degree in Music Theory(Ed) and Performance. Since Orchestras only perform for a couple weeks a year, the rest of the year they teach(most often).

Aye, I was. I'm just trying to help you out before you spend 4 years taking classes that will put you toward the Ed degree instead of getting a degree it's hard to get a job in.

Performance majors take pretty much the same courses but they don't take all the same courses. Plus, as I said, it's hard to get a job when you're a Performance major. You can do the same things with a Performance major that you can do with an Ed degree. I'm just passing on information from my college music days in talking with other Music majors.

I don't use shaving cream either, that's for pussies. You don't want to get razor burn? Shave the smart way, shave right after your shower, so your skin is still moisturized and your hair wet.

Or, you can avoid the shaving cream and having to do it right after the shower altogether by using electric razors!

EDIT: Yes, I know Kurt said that a week ago.

Electric razors can sometimes rip the hair out of your skin, and it takes a while for your face to get used to it. It hurts more than razor burn.
