The entire franchise, save for Super Megaforce, is up on Netflix. May have to poke around a bit though, given the state of the search engine.

Seriously? Well, I know I'm probably gonna be reliving my childhood. I watched all of the series up to Time Force, after which I lost interest. And then I watched some of Dino Thunder mostly because of Tommy.

Also, has anyone watched Linkara's History of the Power Rangers series? It's pretty cool, though I'm not sure if he's still doing it.

Yes, seriously. Its one of the best arguments for digital streaming at all when you consider the sheer size of the series and how hard and costly it'd be to collect normally.

As to HOPR, Linkara has technically kept it on his ever vague schedule, but he keeps putting it off. Even though in the time since he started, he's had to update the opening twice, and had an even worse rate than the current release schedule of the franchise.

you know what really bothers me about PR?
In Zeo they got new powers and zords, and from every subsequent series they received new powers and zords. I've yet to see the different powers and yet, that's why Super MegaForce has the keys: the powers! But other than that, there is no reason for explaining why the colors are different or why they need other powers; especially after seeing a half red half green ranger for no reason. viva la mexico?

...I'm going to assume you've done some random browsing then, because last I checked, the half red/half green ranger has not actually become a thing in Power Rangers yet. That's from the christmas special of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger (the source material for Super Megaforce), which should explain (at least in basic theme) why the two got spliced together. Beyond that, within SM's own context, the idea is that, supposedly, in order to combat the Armada, something on the scale of which Earth hasn't seen before (because Gosei is an idiot and forgot the events of Countdown to Destruction), the then team needs to be able to take on and master the powers of previous (and some yet to exist) teams.

If you're referring to the meta-context of the powers changing from one season to the next, that's because the teams overall began to change, starting with new heroes and villains with each season, at first gradually, and then becoming absolute with Lost Galaxy. From there on it wasn't a question of 'why does the previous team need new powers', it became 'this is a new team with new powers', which whilst some would say removes much of the investment - which it admittedly does, since you don't get as much time to know the various teams - overall it does help in freeing up story ideas, diversifying the setting, and make it less troublesome to work with/around the source material, since one no longer has to justify the likes of saying, going from advanced, pseudo-mystic technology, to cars.

So, a month to the day of the last post here, and we get some new... well, news. Roberto Orci has been brought on as the executive producer, with Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz providing the screenplay.

My feelings are mixed because of Orci's involvement. He's the kind of writer who probably would actually bother to stop and research into the wider franchise, rather than start and stop purely with MMPR, but at the same time, he often likes to include stuff without properly explaining or grounding it into the new narrative, resulting in plot holes and a confusing mess.
