A loud thunderous clattering echo resonated throughout the large cavernous chamber, as the metal grating of the service catwalk gave way underneath the footing of a tall ashen skinned figure. Lurching back out of instinct, the young woman held her back tight against the moss covered bulkhead wall, her amber eyes tracking the descent of the collapsed walk way - watching as it disappeared down into the void below.

Taking a moment to catch her breath, and to recenter herself from the sudden loss of the walk way, the young Dathomiri woman surveyed her surroundings, looking for an alternative means to carry on venturing throughout throughout the decaying ruins of a former imperial outpost. At first she was perplexed as to how such a structure was present in the middle of the forest undergrowth, yet alone what purpose it served. It was a curious sight for the young female as she wandered through the dense forests of Endor, only to come across the ruined structure that was presently being reclaimed by nature. It was in a moment of weakness that the young woman gave into her curiosity and decided the venture through the rubble to investigate, and if there was anything of potential value that could be salvaged for scrap - then perhaps there might be some credits to be made, after all it seemed that despite how the galaxy viewed the Galactic empire, their tech did seem to warrant a fair price.

Looking across the void, the Dathomiri regarded the door that lay ahead of her, now separated by the collapsed walk way. A sigh escaping her lips as she contemplated on whether or not it was worth using some of her rationed water of life to simply bypass the fallen crossing by calling upon her Magiks or, just to turn back and find an alternative route around.

Figuring that for now it was not worth consuming any of her water of life reserves, the ashen figure, slung the Force pike off over her shoulder, and stepped back through the open blast doors, before retreating back into the corridor. Narrow beams of light emitted from a wrist mounted torch, cut through the dark void ahead of her as she continued to pace though the service hall, a regular metallic clanging sound echoing throughout the circulation space as the base of her force pike connected with the crumbling duracrete flooring - only to be periodically stopped and replaced by the sound of the female scrambling over a large tree root that had periced through the subterranean complex.

"What was that?" Pala'kwiwaran listened as the distinctive clatter of metal scraping against metal radiated from another part of the outpost. It was entirely possible that the sudden clangs were the result of the ancient Imperial outpost slowly giving way to time, she wasn't even alive the last time the rusting, vine-strangled heap was serviced. At the same time, however, she knew that Endor had a list of potential hazards longer than maybe any world she'd set foot on so far. She'd read the stories about vicious predators and savage natives, and if only half of them were true then she was probably waist-deep in trouble sitting comfortably in her ship. Let alone rooting around the unstable and abandoned remains of an old Imperial outpost.

"Alright, alright whatever that was sounded pretty far away...I think." She muttered both to her companion PM-1 and herself. Neither were reassured by her ramblings. "PM, keep audio scanners maxed and watch my back okay?"

The little droid gave a growling chitter, but still extended his tracking antenna to pick up any more sounds of potential threats. With PM watching her back, Pala pressed on deeper into the cavernous hallways of the base. The landing pad looked like it had been hit with an orbital bombardment, so Pala had been forced to land in a safe-looking clearing nearby and pry open a jammed door on the south side. A prybar made a poor replacement for a machete, but it still got the fallen ceiling tiles and gnarled roots out of the way as Pala explored the ruins, guided only by glowrods and some less-than-helpful area scans from PM's mapping systems. Hopefully there would be something left in this overgrown mess worth salvaging, but given how everything was caked with either rust, moss, or carbon scoring, this venture was looking to be a complete bust.

Endor. A world synonymous with the old heroes of the Republic. With Skywalker, Ackbar and Calrissian. Solo and Antilles to name those that followed the one that always shot up to his mind. To think that the wily old spymaster had been above this forest and now Linwood was squeezing through a crawl space under a service hall. Somewhere in here was a primary line to the data-core of this old ruin.

His large frame allowed for little movement, but it meant that a lot of him had contact with the metal around him. He could feel the vibrations of shearing metal, then followed by a staccato of footsteps. He froze, holding his breath and then slowly placing his scanner off and down. As the footsteps and then another clang of metal on metal sounded, he knew that whatever it was stood above him. Carefully, to make no noise he reached to his holster and drew out the Intelligence Operative pistol. He pointed the gun up and saw beams of light panning through the air above him, the metal grate offering limited visibility.

Time seemed to take its sweet self as he felt his breath burning and his lungs aching. Then he saw the lithe form of a female, she did not appear to have a blaster out and while clearly capable up close; he had a pistol in hand. He looked at the grating and knew that in an emergency this sort of things could be popped up. With a soft rotation he was ready. His lungs screamed for air and he shoved hard. The metal brackets popped with a ringing clang and his pistols muzzle moved to face her. “Hands up, Imp-worshipper or whatever you are.” His eyes narrowed as the lampbeams caught his face. "And you can point that down."

Turning her gaze through the corner of her eye, the ashen skinned female clocked her head to regard the man that had snuck up on her, to now hold her at gun point. A surge of bile could be felt running through her, the thought than a man had the audacity and nerve to challenge her, went against the every matriarchal bone in her body. But in that was the problem, back on the Crimson World that she called home, men would be subservient to her and her sisters, out in the vast regions of space... Well it seemed that the pecking order was significantly different to what she was brought up to expect.

With a resigned sigh, the Dathomiri complied with the instruction, after all she was at the disadvantage here, held at gun point there was little room for arguing. Letting go of her force pike, allowing it to fall onto the floor with a clatter, the witch raised her hands in compliance, even though the look of discust plastered over her tattooed features would say contrary.
"I do not worship Imps" Kesra spoke out in response, her dry tone, barely hiding the distain she was holding for the man holding her at gun point.

"I follow the teachings from the Book of Law" the Dathomiri added, correcting the man's claim that she worshiped some imp like creature. Completely missing the intended implication through her piecemeal understanding of Galactic basic. Cautiously the Dathomiri moved her free hand over towards the wrist mounted tor h, turning it off and plunging the ruinous chamber back into darkness, the only light source being left to them was the dim borrowed natural light that crept into the outpost through the gaping apertures that tore through the buildings superstructure.

The Amber eyes of the Dathomiri, flashed with an luminescent green glow, as she summoned upon her magiks to enhance her sight to account for the lack of light. Perhaps in hindsight she would have been better using her magiks rather than rely on this wrist light device, but she would rather learn to use the technologies that the wider galaxy so freely used. A deep breath crossed her lips, as the ashen figure reached out and sensed her surroundings, despite there being the raw earthy currents of untamed nature flowing around her, it was starkly different to what she could feel on Dathomir.

But what she could feel, was that she and this man were clearly not alone! There was another venturing close by, but deep down withing the ruins of the fallen imperial complex - Creatures were stirring.

Pala heard...something echoing down the halls from the same direction as the last clatter, the sound of popping bolts and clashing grates accompanied by a muffled, barely comprehensible shout. Something about hip-worshipping it sounded like, not that Pala cared. All this sound only meant that more people were down in the ruins with her and they weren't exactly being subtle about it. The Lethan quickly drew her pistol and clutched it in shaky hands as she began to inch closer towards the source of the sound. As she rounded a corner, Pala watched as a green glow suddenly erupted from the far end of the hallway, casting two figures in silhouette against the far wall. This was frightening enough on its own, but from the looks of the shadows on the wall one figure had the other at blaster point.

Needless to say, that wasn't going to do for Pala, so she gestured for PM to hang back while she crept closer to corner of the hallway. Pressing against the cold, moss-coated wall and peering around the corner, Pala saw something that defined her entire understanding of how the galaxy worked. A woman with her hands on fire, green fire, that didn't seem to be bothering her in the least, let alone setting her skin or her clothes on fire. Now the man pointing a blaster at the pale stranger's head seemed mild by comparison.

"Grab some ceiling, e chu tas!" She swung around the corner leveling her blaster and her glowrod at the two very strange strangers. "Drop the blaster and the green...hand fire...stuff. I don't want to have to shoot you!"

Huh, a law-keeper. Sorry about that, you have no idea who you might be bumping into.” His pistol didn’t lower, which way did she keep the law? Enforcer or hunter? As her light turned off, and the room was swallowed by darkness it took him a while to get used to the darkness. “I’ve seen a whole lot in this galaxy Miss…?” He flicked his pistol to signal beside her, and for her to move against the wall. Slowly, and with care not to trip or give an opening his form rose from the crawlspace. "But I have never seen eyes glow like that."

Well… whatever your name is, we’re both here in this mess and frankly, I don’t wanna die in the dark depths of some place else. If I go, I want it to be among the stars or seeing stars in a soft bed.” he lowered his pistol into one hand and stepped forward “Lets try and get on in a better way, dare I say a more civilised way for this new peaceful age.” The was a wry chuckle, he sounded like a politician, was he trying to impress her? He looked her up and down, he wouldn’t mind wanting to impress her, and then wiped his off-hand on his ribbed vest then held it out open for her to shake. “Linwood Foster.” He smiled an easy grin, bright white teeth shining in the glow of her eyes. "Hopefully you might not of heard of me."
