Affiliation: People's Drive Yards of Eriadu

Ownership: N/A, for Faction use

Intent: To provide the Galactic Workers Bloc with a large an fairly easy to produce warship of defensible design. Designed to lead fleets and supply the backbone of the fleet, this ship is also a test bed for future features on other ship classes.

Model: Proletariat Class Hwavy Cruiser

Dimensions:
Length: 600 Meters
Width: 220 Meters
Height: 200Meters

Class: Cruiser

Crew: 12 Bridge Crew, 25 Engineers, 25 Gunners, 130 Other Crew (Recommended)
3 Bridge Crew, 15 Engineers, 12 Gunners, 115 Other Crew (Absolute Minimum)

Complement: 2 Squadrons of Fighters, 6 Shuttles, 3 Other ships of almost any type

Armament: 10 Heavy Quad Turbolaser Turrets, 15 Light Blaster Cannon Turrets (1 Gun Each), 2 Concussion Missile Launchers, 1 Heavy Ion Cannon

Equipment:
-1 Hyperdrive
-12 Sublight engines
-27 Escape Pods
-Military Grade sensors
-Military Grade computer systems

Speed: 55 MGLT, Maneuvers well for its size.

Hyperdrive Rating: Class 3 Primary, Class 5 secondary

Maneuverability: The ship has fairly good maneuverability sacrificing fire power.

Description: The Proletariat Class has above average damage control features,
Including 100 repair drones (Small, simple, repair droids such as astromechs) for the outer shell of the ship. The ship has medium armor in the center of the ship, with heavy armor on the front, with more medium armor located around the armors. The ship is meant to be a leading ship in the GWR. Though not a full on warship it could be considered such. The repair drones that work on damage control for this ship are usually astromechs, used for their low cost and ability to cling to the hull of the starship in combat. For more severe repairs than armor and system patch ups, a time away from combat is required.

I would work on beefing up your description. Go into a lot more detail, especially about the repair drones; I assume you just mean repair droids, but I think the mods frown on using that sort of thing excessively.

I noticed a few things looking over this ship,

While it seems well balanced and not full to the brim with tech you do need to go into some detail about the ship. The biggest thing I noticed is its not mentioned what the handling characteristics of the ship are like. Is agile for a big ship or is it slow and unresponsive or is it average?

Next, it seems rather fast for cruiser. usually that high end of speed would be seen on something smaller like a corvette.

Lastly your armament while number wise seems good its good to know the difference between a battery and a turret. Lets take the HMS Warspite for example. Its main battery is 8x 15in guns mounted in 4 twin turrets. Generally speaking a ship like this would most likely have 10 turbo lasers mounted in 5 twin turrets. This sort of thing would apply to the smaller weapons as well. Before I forget since I just noticed it, what are the missiles good against? Are they capital ship class launchers are they anti star-fighter launchers, and how many missiles are they able to fire.

As you currently have it written it could be a bit confusing in a technical sense for it to have so many batteries of weapons.

Alright, so, I would suggest looking over approved ships of comparable size and class to what you're making before you decide to throw something together, or at least talk to one of the tech mods to get an idea of what is a good idea. As it stands now, your cruiser is too fast, too heavily armed, and requires too few crew for a ship of its size. None of the factions ships have nearly as much firepower. To start I'd probably only have 2 heavy turbolasers, 2 turbolasers, 2 ion cannons, and 2 concussion missile tubes, just by looking at ships of similar size. And even that might be too high for this timeline (I personally think the weapons restrictions on capital class ships for this timeline are incredibly dumb, but I'll leave that for another discussion) as most capital class ships of the largest size only have frigate-grade weapons during the movie era. As it stands now this puts it almost on par with the Empyrial, a ship almost 3x the size and made for a MF.

Next up, speed, 85 MGLT is just starfighter fast for this timeline. That's gonna have to go to at least 50. Hyperdrive class 3? Maybe, but not with a class 5 backup. This isn't the OT where that sort of thing might be common place.

Lastly, your crew compliment seems like it should barely be able to run the ship, and I'm assuming that's not even including a marine complement since there's nothing listed. Even with what would be considered a high amount of automation for SW that's like a skeleton crew level for even a ship of that size. By comparison a modern day destroyer is less than a third of the size and has over five times the crew.

Don't get me wrong, if there's a reason this ship is the way it is, feel free to explain, but that will definitely need to get put into the description of the ship, and mean don't hold back when it comes to the description as that can really change how it's viewed. Right now it's very, very barebones. I'd consider talking about what Grim asked.

The thing is, last time I looked there were no "Cruiser" weight ships. I will edit this later.

"Cruiser" weight ships is really vague since the term Cruiser is used widely in SW from everything from a Carrack class to a MonCal.

The minimum crew compliment still needs to be up to about 150. During the clone wars the Munificent class frigate required 200 and had massive levels of automation. I'd probably increase normal crew compliment up to about 500 total to start and then see what the tech mods have to say from there. Speed also needs to go way down. Seriously, though, 55 is being pretty fair with a ship of this size. At 75 it's still faster than the fast corvettes we've seen this timeline. Lastly, I still feel like it's pretty heavily armed. First off, I'd hack it down to at most 5 heavy turbolasers, I still think 2 is preferable though. And I'd completely remove batteries for the twin turbolaser. I feel that would put it on par with what a ship of its size and weight should be. More heavily armed than a frigate, but no where near capable of going toe to toe with the MF ships twice its size.

I'll echo what's already been said. It is far too fast for a heavy cruiser, and too light on the crew. Armament looks fine for it's class, same with the intent.
