DESCRIPTION​

The minds of resourceful mandalorians in the limited territories created a now commonly adopted vehicle. Officially marketed by Bellica Works Inc for lower spending governments and defense forces, the Quad-Derp does it's job well. It is a light ant-aircraft artillery vehicle. Fast, small and effective, the QDTT is able to navigate across difficult terrain and in close quarters urban environments. It's suspencion and rugged components allow it to prevail in harsh conditions.

Over all it is simple, essentially little more than a three wheeled terrestrial vehicle with four laser cannons on the back. The weapons can be fired while in motion but its accuracy will be severely hampered. It has hydraulic feet that usually come out on either side when stationary to stabilize the recoil and aim of the quad laser cannon turret. It can swivel and track quickly. Its short range radar allows for detection of air borne targets and threats as well as the search light and night vision can help defend against night time air raids.

The gun can be controlled by a droid brain though that replaces the existence of traditional trigger and sights forcing the weapon system to always be fired by the droid brain. However if not fired by a droid brain it has to be used by another autonomous individual other than the driver. Of course it can be operated by one person completely. However this is not advised since field maintenance does require two people, a spotter as well as gunner. If a crew wants to move and fire, for obvious reasons there needs to be two people.

However it is a wheeled vehicle and because of this it is hindered whereas a repulsor craft would easily overcome some obstacles. In addition it is lightly armored and any dedicated anti-vehicle weapon is able to damage the QDTT effectively. As mentioned before, it is little more than an average civilian vehicle.

Legal to own by appropriate governments and organization where such laws are enforced.

INTENT​

Zipping around the battle field to defend against air raids is something I think would be an effective tactic by now. I wanted something that small feisty groups like mandalorians or pirates might use to defend their bases. While there are better anti-air options these are for groups on a budget or with few options

ADVANCED TECH​

YES. It is hard for an individual to get something like this on their own and only acquired through a group even if it is just a quad laser turret on the back of a motorized tricycle.
