So I want to do something similar to the Errant Venture, the idea of a Mobile Shadow port for smugglers, and who ever else doesn't want to be found. Its probably going to be a big ship, probably Imperial Star Destroyer sized, or a bit bigger. Not nearly as heavily armed, but enough to defend itself long enough to get away. So would this work?

size wise were looking at a ship that takes roughly 30 thousand people just to operate not counting other positions that may be needed... which may be hard to justify ships that size are hard to come by in this era but that would be more admin decided once you can talk out the details with one. Smugglers also made great use of drifts, and asteroids and even comets too.

I do love the thought of something for smugglers though the Republic is hiring them pretty heavily atm ^_^

Mmm what about a station that is equipped with a massive hyperspace core? Probably would go over better? Or no? Honestly its more of a plot device then anything, and it could make for some interesting sub-plots or something you know? :P

I would like to point out that the Errant Venture never had a full crew under Booster. It's listed number was 4,780 at the time of the Yuuzhan Yong War.

Of course this meant it didn't operate at the same level of functionally as a fully crewed Star Destroyer would have. Not all the weapons worked (and most were stripped before it was handed to Booster), a lot of systems were ripped out to make room for bars and stores. Maintenance cost would have been high, but I suppose the staff will decide.

Well I mean, as I said its more of a plot device, and a place to meet, and I have no intention of using it for anything else really, I just really want something like that, and I think it'd make this a little more interesting perhaps.

Also if this does go through, what do ya'll think of this Pic?

Slave circuits.

Far too advanced for this timeline.

Errant Venture was no where near as powerful as an actual Star Destroyer. Its armament was stripped down to the legal maximum for the largest civilian-owned ships, and a good part of a Star Destroyer's crew is composed of gunners. However, even with the 5,000 people Terrik had, over half the ship's systems were non-functioning and about 1/3rd of the ship's rooms and corridors weren't used. It was a colossal waste of money and men, in my opinion.

Also if this does go through, what do ya'll think of this Pic?

That looks absolutely massive, and considering the technology of this timeline, I don't think it's all too likely it'd be owned by a private group.

I do remember Cel having a private space station back on the second forum during the beginnings of the second timeline.

Well with the first picture, I was think that it was a pieced together station, from the debris of several ships. So it wasn't really a true space-station in that sense I guess. So it would be a lot cheaper, and smaller then an average station.

I'm no expert on scale, but that looks to be roughly 1/2 to 1/4 the size of a Star Destroyer. 800 meters is still large for this era(but I am also no expert on Star Wars) but 400 is more reasonable. Still expensive as hell, though.

Well as said, I was going to use the explanation of using older ships and basically just welding them together, which combined with most of the systems already installed, and basically functional, would leave it at a much lower cost then what would be expected of a ship/Station this size.

That actually fits better with the larger ship. It could even come close to SD size if mods approve.

Bad thoughts: It becomes Tengen Toppa Guren Logen. The Force is Spiral Power.

I'd be willing to have Terminal help fund/make this smuggler mobile haven.
