I have a few questions.

1. What does it take to make a new faction?

2. Is it possible to make a character age?

3. I was planning on making a new character and starting a Main Sith Faction
with him, However I'm not exactly sure where to start or how to bring this
character down the dark path. ((or create a Independent Dark Jedi Faction))

3. There is no sith, and prolly wont be.

1. Look at the independent faction guidelines in the independent faction forum.

2. A character's age is really up to you, along with what age they are at any specific time. As you have a 14 year old, it might be an idea to skip him ahead a few years. Because it's free form it's hard to keep up a perfect chronology, but you can estimate.

3. There's a neutral Force Sensitive faction (the Shade) who are basically Grey Jedi, but no dark Jedi yet. The Dark Jedi Major faction will be established soon when a traitor from the Jedi leads many over to the darkside and the traitor will be the leader of the faction. The traitor has already been chosen. The Sith faction does not exist yet and the species is yet to be discovered. I doubt you'll be allowed to start a "Main Faction" regardless, members are only allowed to create independent factions if they are approved by Grim.

What Ols said. Also there is always the chance of doing some crazy stuff as a Free Lance Bounty Hunter.
