Alright, I had a few questions before I began work on (the rest of) my character...

1.) As Miraluka see with the force, how good is there 'vision'? Can they read data pads, watch holograms, and distinguish facial features? Can they pilot ships effectively, fight at a range with a blaster/slughthrower, and use a computer?

2.) Is it possible for someone who has not yet joined a faction (such as The Shade Order, which is the one I am most interested in and will be seeking to join) to have some rudimentary control over the force through their own practice and 'self-teaching'? Or, more precisely, would a Miraluka (who have such an advanced and intimate connection to the force already) be knowledgeable of various force related meditations and (in the most extreme and advanced cases) basic, Adept level control? (such as rudimentary telekinesis or the like)

Essentially a Miraluka would bascally be limited in regards to the Force to just their sight, which is instinctual more than learned. Meditation and the like isn't really important to them when it comes to sight, because it's a natural thing for them. Think of it as the way we see, it's not like we have to concentrate on seeing before we can actually look around.

Of course the way they see would be a lot different to us. I think the closest way to think of it would be like infrared vision, though you'd be seeing the Force signatures of living things rather than the body heat. So essentially a Miraluka would probably have problems with anything mechanical, i'd imagine.

all of the above = my opinion only, so...idk.

My opinion on this is running almost perfectly parallel with Grim's.

To actually quote from the Star Wars D20 discription of the Miraluka 'Force Sight' trait

"Although blind, Miraluka can 'see' by using the Force. They act normally without taking any penalties for blindness when in the presence of living creatures or life of any kind."

So while surrounded by living force they can see perfectly, while in the barrens of a planet with literally no life, they can't see a thing and will be completely lost.

Atleast that's my take on it. Suffer no problems while around masses of living force and don't have any problems with people trying to conceal themselves and in payment you can't see creatures that are 'invisible' to the force and completely blind when not around any living force.
