(ooc. Rolled from http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/showthread.php?65132-One-Mess-for-Another-A-Recruitment-Story)

Elijah Hardin, Captain of the Morellian Enforcers had spent the better part of two months seeking out the rebellion with the intent of rendering his services in the name of the Morellian Commonwealth. Upon arriving on Bonadan he and his crew had set about gathering information and speaking to various persons of interest. It didn't take long for word to get out as to what he was after. A few cantinas and a few hours later he had been instructed to return to his ship and an opportunity would come his way. Whether he chose to act on that opportunity was another story. The opportunity came in the form of a protocol droid who had buzzed the intercom on his VCX-820, Susannah. He answered the prompt. "May I help you?"

“Yes sir, my name is B-56IL, courier for a company here on Bonadan, I have a parcel for you.”

Hardin called back to the droid, “Leave it on the floor, I’ll get it.”

“I’m sorry sir, but my instructions are to verify your identity before passing on the item.”

The Captain nodded to Dan and the two rose, walked to the ramp and lowered it allowing the droid up. Dan had a menacing blaster rifle trained on the droid as he climbed the ramp not showing any sign of being phased. “Verification Complete.”

“Fine, where is this parcel.”

The droid began a recorded message. “My name is not important, what is important is that we’ve been tracking you for weeks, ever since you left Morellia. An operative stopping through there received word that your system had plans of joining the rebellion. Might I suggest that you treat your interests a little bit more carefully in the future? However, we cannot pass up the opportunity of the Commonwealth joining our cause. You seem the capable sort and you are certainly well equipped. In order for us to consider dealing with you in the future, you must first prove your ability to get a simple job of diplomacy done. Perhaps not diplomacy in the traditional respect but the job is as follows: The New Sith Imperium encompasses hundreds upon hundreds of worlds at this point in time, whereas we only have outposts on three locations. If we are to spread our cause, we must first prove that we are here for the people. There is a small settlement on Tatooine named Mos Kire that is in desperate need of medical supplies. One of our operatives in the Civilian Resistance managed to acquire a decent shipment of various medical supplies which should keep Mos Kire well-supplied for three months. The city is without a spaceport, so the supplies will need to be transported via speeder truck to the settlement. Another thing: The city has recently been attacked by Tusken Raiders as they have been multiple times the past year. If you can spare the time, see if there is anything you can do about the Tusken Raider encampment not far from the Mos Kire. You will meet with a contact by the name of Corso and possibly a Jedi who will be assisting you. The Jedi will join you when they can. Corso will be waiting with the medical supplies on Manaan. Manaan is closely watched by the Imperium regardless of the measures put in place, so you must be careful. Corso will know how to contact you. Good Luck and welcome to the Rebellion.”

Eli sat back and began to question the droid when smoke arose from inside his servos. The droid quickly turned on his heel and walked down the ramp without so much as a farewell.

“Dan…set course for Manaan.”

Norin hated waiting for anything, he was stuck in this poor excuse of a cantina on Manaan, drinking a expensive ale that wasn't worth the price. He was asked by his contact in the Rebels to transport a shipment of medical supplies, to a small town in Tatooine. That sand box of a planet was a good place for Mandalorians to prove himself, thing is Corso was alone now, with no fellow Mandalorians from his clan that he can go and have adventures with. Norin finished the ale and got up from the counter and walked out of the cantina. He looked around and saw nothing that interested him just fish people and other species all walking around nothing on this boring poor excuse of a planet could interest him. He decided to wait at the space port where he was suppose to meet his comrades for this mission.

He carried his helmet under his arm and after walking out of the city limit had gotten his weapons back an was waiting at the end of the port. Norin had talked with the officials and told them when a ship that matched a certain transponder code to have them land in this port. His rebel friends had given him a datapad with the ships transponders but not the name of the people joining him, he doesn't even know how many people will be joining him. The only reason the Rebels asked him to do this is because he has some medicial knowledge and maybe because he is a Mandalorian. Norin doubted it was because of his people skills he has been known to be aggressive. Since Tatooine is a place full of questionable people he might know some or at the very least he could be able to handle himself. Though he didn't know anyone on Tatooine he knows he could handle himself if they were lucky and got into a fight.

Norin began tapping his foot waiting for someone to send him a message or something so he knows when his comrades were here. Eventually a fish person came by it was hard to tell all of them looked similar. The same one he told to send the ship of his supposed comrades to this port if a ship matching his transponders can. It said something but Norin had a hard time understanding but eventually he got his message his comrades were about to land. Norin smiled with his scar just below his left eye and ending to his jaw line you could say it almost looked like a tear line but if anyone said that to Norin they weren't going to be standing for very long. His carbine, and Berskad on his back, his twin TASKMASTER MK-II pistols on either side of his hip, and the small medic kit on his back an his helmet under his right arm he looked like the stereotypical Mandalorian dangerous and ready to kill. He put on a small smile, finally Norin was glad he can get off this small water planet.

When Susannah emerged from hyperspace, a tiny blue speck quickly turned into a beautiful blue sphere of water. Eli, having never been this far into the inner rim and was astounded by how true blue the water planet was. Beata and Torie were leaning forward in the cockpit to take in the Pyrshak sun gleaming from around the planet. The closer they got the more of the moving water could they see. Eli looked at the two. “Welcome to the inner rim friends. Please take your seats we will be starting our approach as soon as we have authorization.” Moments later, after they finished with the docking authority they were instructed to land in a private hangar outside Ahto City.

Upon touching down in the hangar, Eli noticed a mandalorian, or at least someone who appeared to be, standing strikingly close to the all clear line of the hangar. Eli and his crew descended the ramp to be greeted by the obviously well armed man. All four enforcers had their hands on the butts of their .48 Enforcers. This was uncharted territory.

“I’m captain Elijah Hardin of the Morellian Enforcers.” Eli said as he stepped to a few meters from the man, “I have important business with a man named Corso. He has a shipment I’m to transport off-world. You wouldn’t happen to know him, would you?”

Eli had only seen a mandalorian once before, a woman. She had terrified him as a small child. Now that he was a battle hardened adult, there was no fear. He and this man, both had seen their fair share of action.

Norin hoped that he was getting a good group an when he saw the rebels he was slightly pleased at least they look like they had some experience. The lead man most have been the leader an he look seasonal, he was glad because if he had to deal with any more fools he might just snap someone's neck. He heard the mans question and smirked.

"I'm Norin Corso from the clan Set."
He gave the man a minute to understand that.

"Don't pretend to have heard of it my clan is dead except for me. Now how much can your ship carry because we will be using it to transport the medical supplies."He looked over the other members not really sensing anything special about them.

He could sense they were slightly on guard since they all seems to be keeping there hand on there .48 enforcers. Norin was glad to see that they were on guard it shows they are warriors and ready for action. Something Norin can respect, but he was going to need to know more about them before he can trust them.

"I guess you're in charge, who are you adate*? They didn't tell me anything about you." Norin needed to know he could trust them if not than even with all of them against him, it wouldn't last long against a armed, and angry seasoned

"They are Enforcers from the Morellian Commonwealth as well. The taller one is my droid, under the synthskin is a YVH chassis, his designation is DAN-L, we call him Dan naturally. This lovely lady here is Beata, and her partner Torie. The menacing looking freighter behind us is Susannah, she can't carry much but she will suffice for this mission. Her load capacity is one ton. This is my ship and my crew. They are trustworthy, hardened professionals. I'm familiar with mandalorian customs. I studied History and Politics at Commonwealth University. Unfortunately language was not my strong suit. Suffice it to say, I can swear in Mandoa but not much else. Do you know if we're waiting on anyone else?"

Eli extended his hand to be shaken.

Norin heard what the man said and looked at Elijah, than at his man, now taking a closer look he spotted the riduur, than he spotted the now supposed robot. He figured that they are a strange bunch, though the hangar is empty except for them and the ship. Norin didn't like hearing that Elijah had gone through university, he dislike scholars mainly because of his warrior attitude. Though he hasn't hear much about these enforcers, Elijah shown enough confidence to convince Norin that this isn't some rag tag team but actually elite fighters.

When Elijah extended his hand Norin didn't want to shake it at first since Elijah had mention he was educated at a university. Which made Norin dub him a scholarly type though Norin can clearly see that wasn't the case. Norin decided to shake the hand but he put all the force in it that he could muster, which is a lot considering his Mandalorian training and lifestyle.

Norin wasn't told much by the Rebel operative and who he was bringing was one of those things the operative left out. He had assume all the members for the team would be coming with Elijah but now Norin just learned Elijah might be as clueless as he was in this situation which made him happy.

"I don't know who else might be joining us but as of right now my only goal is getting off this di'kutla, aruetyc planet." An Norin meant it, the water planet might seen peaceful for some but for people like Norin the peacefulness of the planet was painful and Norin felt trapped on it.

"Come bring two of your man with us and leave one of them here. I don't trust these fish people, they rub me the wrong way." Norin know he sounded racist and he didn't care he wasn't a nice man and he didn't care how he come off as.

"The medical supplies are in a small storage room within the city limits and these damn fish people wish to stay neutral so keep quiet and your head down, no matter how much I would like to fight imperials we can't fight here." There was a lot of medical supplies to load on the ship.

Norin began to head towards the exist of the hangar, where he planned to wait for the Enforcers to decide who was going to come.

As his Jedi starfighter landed in the hangar on Manaan, Exarus Cade couldn't help but grimace.

It wasn't the claustrophobic feeling he got on Manaan, or even the native Selkath's neutral political stance that bothered him. No, what troubled him was the memories. He had been here once before during his days as a footsoldier in the Rebel Military, where they had been tasked with overseeing a smuggled shipment of bacta. It had been possibly the most boring assignment of his military career. Luckily, he wasn't here to stay.

Upon pressing a button, the cockpit's window raised and Cade stepped out. The Jedi Padawan wore a dark brown cloak that just barely covered his Jedi robes. Strapped to his utility belt was the silver hilt of his lightsaber.

Taking note of the freighter to the right, he made his way to the man he assumed to be Elijah Harding.

"If it's all the same to you, I'll stay with my ship thanks. My crew will see to the supplies if you would just show them where they are."

Eli was having a good day until a starfighter landed in the same hangar and a robe come gliding toward him. Every fiber of his being told him to drop the zealot immediately. If it weren't for the mission and the fact that they were on a world with very harsh punishments, he would have. His team wasn't even here. He was alone with the force fanatic. He reached across his waist and put his saber hilt in his hand and held it at its side, ready to flick the vibro-weapon out at a moments notice.

"Stop right where you are zealot! This is a private hangar. Return to your ship and vacate the premises immediately."

Exarus Cade eyed the man, then the vibro-hilt before raising an eyebrow and trying to hide a smirk. He took a moment, sizing the man up before chuckling.
"Now, that's no way to greet your new allies." An attempt at humor, albeit lousy. The fact of the matter was he wasn't in the mood for pointless banter, and he wasn't sure how pleased the Rebellion command would be with him if he were to murder a potential ally. That being said, it couldn't hurt to put this idiot in his place. Though, he was already on thin ice with the council. Not that that ever stopped him before.

He folded his arms as if to restrain himself and spoke again.
"Where is your team?"

He turned around and took the enforcers, an walked towards the storage room eventually they had made it there they walked in a comfortable silence, until they reached the storage room they split the crates of medicine between them. Norin had attempted to lift as much as Elijah droid, but they seem to be tied, they couldn't grab all of the crates so they began to walk towards the hangar. The couple talked together a little bit. But Norin didn't really pay any attention to that, it took them longer to reach the hangar than it did when they went to the storage room, but when they did they were confronted with a strange scene.

Elijah was pointing a hilt for a vibro weapon at a robed kid, Norin figured it was either a Sith or a Jedi but, he chose to believe the kid was a jedi. After the Jedi said "where is your team" Norin got angry, because he wasn't a part of Elijah's team nor did he want to be, in fact he should be the one in charge since Elijah wasn't in the rebellion yet and the Jedi was a kid. Norin had removed his helmet and put it under his right arm and approached the two.

His team is here but the one who will be in charge is me, now unless you want me to smack you around a little bit, I suggest you remember that. Now what is the matter with you two?" Norin didn't want any tension between them once they are on the mission since this mission could go bad real quickly.

It wasn't often that Cade was spoken down to in such a manner. A fool hidden behind armor, no less. In any event, he was at the end of his rope.

Raising his hand, he channeled the force to choke the man; lifting him into the air and forcing him to grasp at his throat for air. The man's helmet clattered to the ground before Cade started to speak.
"There is nothing wrong, Mandalorian. Let me make something perfectly clear.."
With no care at all for the man's well being, he held his hold on the man's throat. Snarling as he spoke, he continued.
"No one is 'in charge' here. We have a mission and I intend to carry it through. If you're going to stand in the way of the success of that mission, I will kill you."
Releasing the man, he added, perhaps more gently.
"On any other day we would have met in combat, but today is not that day."
He watched as the man gasped for breath. He didn't regret his actions. If the man was truly a warrior, he would respect him for it. If not, well, then Cade had no reason to care.
"Now then, let's get these supplies on the ship. The sooner we get off this giant waterball the better."

All four of the morelllians dropped their crates, drawing their slug throwers with blinding speed. Eli extended his sword and took a step forward. "You couldn't take us all wizard, so let ME make something perfectly clear. You try something like that again, I won't hesitate to put a slug right through the back of your brain. Your magic doesn't scare me. It is because i don't fear you and that you are a means to an end that you may accompany us lest ye forget on who's ship you load those crates. When were on tattooine I will agree that we are equals. However on MY ship, let there be no mistake, I am in charge."

The first day of his first assignment with the Rebels and already his worst fears had been realized. Power corrupts...and this 'JEDI' flaunted his power in the worst way possible. JEDI or sith it made no matter, they were what was wrong with the Galaxy. It didn't hurt him to keep one close enough to learn though. He ordered his men to holster their weapons and hand signaled Dan to stick to the magician like glue.

"Tread lightly zealot, step out of line for one second and I promise you, no amount of witchcraft will save you."

Norin had taken a moment to catch his breath, the Jedi was so going to regret that, Norin thought. He took a moment glad to see the enforcers having the courage to stand against this jedi. Norin stood up and put his helmet on the ground he wasn't going to need it for this. Norin had to get the Jedi to see reason, since the Jedi seems to have lost it somewhere along the line he thought.

"Listen jedi if you wish to help than your going to have to drop the attitude. If not than I suggest you leave now before I have to drop you, you're just a kid so I doubt you would understand but it doesn't matter if you have the force or not your like everyone else and when your on a team you don't just attack them because they hurt your little feelings." Norin was ready this time he didn't think that a Jedi would have such a bad temper but now he knows the best way to solve this is though some violence.

"kid you might not like it but your going to have to suck it up. An start acting like a warrior, there isn't time for your tantrums." Norin did like that the kid wasn't some pacifist jedi but was disappointed that the kid would hurt his own comrades not that Norin would admit he was hurt by the kid.

"Now let's load the crates onto the ship quickly we have more crates to put into the ship so we have to make a second trip." Norin didn't move he stood there waiting for the Jedis response.

If the Jedi tried anything Norin was going to use the flamethrower from his wrist gauntlets only to scary the kid a little bit than he would take out his beskad just in case the Jedi decides to use his lightsaber. But that was only if the Jedi did anything aggressive again.

When the Morellian's guards raised their slugthrowers. Cade realized he had gone too far this time. He had been sent here to insure the mission went off without a hitch and instead he had abused his powers and let his ego get the better of him. So, when the man warned him not to step out of line, Cade replied with a curt nod.
"Your ship, your rules."

When the Mandalorian spoke again it was to taunt him. Through grit teeth, he replied coldly.
"Very well, Mandalorian." Closing his eyes briefly, he picked up one of the dropped crates and looked to the Mandalorian.
"After you."

Norin was glad the Jedi wasn't going to do anything rash but Norin was hoping to test in abilities with the Jedi but that would have to wait. But he saw that the jedi could be a fine warrior some day and smiled for a little bit in approve but quickly put an a neutral face. Quickly grabbed his helmet which he dropped put it on, and grabbed the crates he had. They quickly put the crates into the ship.

"Jedi since you offered to help you can come with me and the rest of Elijah's crew in getting the rest of the crates. But no force, and make sure you hide your lightsaber, we can't let anyone think your a Sith or realize your a jedi that would risk to many people's lives and I'm not about to let the Sith kill any more innonect people. Here take my younger brothers pistol its a TASKMASTER MK-II it has 8 shots make sure you let people see it on you, or they would like with those robes you might actually be a jedi." He handed the Jedi his younger brothers pistol it was a big thing for the Mandalorian since its the only thing he has left from his dead younger brother.

"Now follow me we will get the rest than we get off this dreadful planet. An no talk about who we are there are ears everywhere on this planet." Norin meant it he didn't trust anything on the planet and wanted to make sure they didn't fail. Norin began to walk out of than hangar not waiting for anyone.

Eli walked up the ramp and took a deep breath. He hated acting as hard as he really was. He would much rather laugh and play. However, it would seem he would have to take on the bravado more often in these times. The Morellian keyed Susannahs prep sequence and charged the guns. The trip to Tatooine would take a few days and this akward group of combatants would make this venture out to be an interesting journey. However, he was happy he wasn't doing this alone. He knew the galaxy from texts, but experiencing it first hand was a whole other deal. After his men and the two joiners finished loading the crates he keyed the comm.

"Systems prepped, hyperdrive is locked and we're prepared for departure. Please take your seats until we reach hyperspace."

Eli waited for the all clear before he lifted the ship out of the hangar and into the atmosphere.

Before moving to take a seat, Cade handed the Mandalorian the blaster pistol. He wouldn't be needing it anymore on Tatooine. Getting the supplies onboard was easy enough. His robes drew a lot of attention, Cade had grown to be used to it.

He gave Elijah a curt "All clear", and looked out the cockpit's window, eager to get off one of the worst planets in the galaxy.

Norin had sit down and given the all clear signal to Elijah, after taking back his brothers pistol from the Jedi he. He was ready for the next part of the plan.

"Listen kid I need you to look important like keep a little bit of your attitude jedi aren't welcome on Tatooine but if they thought you were just a nobleman than we won't have to worry about jedi hunters and you might want to keep get a pistol so you don't look like a easy target. Elijah I would suggest you keep someone or two people on your ship this is a planet were crime is the law, and the only justice is what you carry in your holster. I will see if I can't find us some transport since out of all of us mandalorians are the most well known plus I need an excuse to get into a fight." Norin had his helmet off and right next to him, showing off his smirk and less than pleasant way of thinking.

"Unless Elijah the scholar here has a better plan? I suggest letting someone who can at least think like those criminals be the one who does the talking." Norin wasnt looking to argue just wanted to have a plan so they didn't have to fight anyone and Norin get stuck playing doctor.

The Morellian reached up to activate the hyperdrive when the cabin rocked hard. “We’ve got incoming! The Sith must’ve been on us the second we broke Manaan airspace! Someone must have tipped them off!”

Eli heard Torie call through the cabin, “Make the jump!”

Hardin yelled back, “The motivator has been hit! Lucky shot! Dan, get back there and fix it! Beata, you’re on co-pilot! The rest of you get to a karking gun! They kriffed with the wrong ship!” The VCX-820 escort freighter was a force to be reckoned with. Not the most efficient cargo hauler as it only allowed for a single metric ton of storage. But what it lacked in capacity, it made up in firepower and formidable shields. One could best a small capital ship with an 820, so long as the pilot was clever and the gun crew capable. With a standard load of 16 proton torpedoes, eight autoblasters on its mandibles and three heavy laser cannons turreted aft, port, and starboard, it was capable of firing in all directions simultaneously and could overwhelm the enemy with a barrage of linked blaster fire and finish them with a payload of torpedoes. However, it wasn’t something he liked to do on a day-to-day basis.

Eli took immediate evasive action, dropping Susannah down into aerial dive. Beata had just reached her seat and strapped herself in. Eli directed her as he yanked the control yoke into a port side bank and roll, “Slave two of the autoblasters to my reticle, moniter the rest as you give me an action report!”

The autoblasters found targets and began leading whatever they found until Beata had time to direct them. It was effective at routing incoming fighters but couldn’t do any damage without adequate attention. Beata went over her readout and called out through the comm system so the rest of the crew knew the stakes, “One corvette-class: ship-of-the-line! Ten starfighters! Corvettes boasting two turbolasers and military grade shields! Only two starfighters are heavy types with shields and missiles. The rest are swarmers. Two fire groups, one is holding back with the Corvette and the other is engaging. Read-out suggests that a missile took out our hyperdrive motivator. Shields are holding. If we don’t get that motivator back online fast we’re going to have one helluva fight on our hands, captain.”

Dan comm’d through the system, “We’re going to have one helluva fight on our hands, captain. This is going to take me twelve point eight minutes to get back online.”

Eli grimaced. Looks like he and Susie get to take down a corvette on his first day with his new playmates. Joy.

He wasn't sure why he was irritated at that moment. Perhaps it was the fact that this guy thought of himself in such a high regard that he would be in a position to advise him. Or, perhaps, it was the fact that he felt the need to explain to Cade how Tatooine worked. Whatever the case, he hadn't the time to argue either point, as right then Elijah started barking orders.

Rushing to the main gun on the left wing of the ship, he maneuvered the controls, firing on any hostile starfighter that came into sight. He didn't know who he was shooting at, but when one of his shots made contact and the fighter exploded, he realized it didn't really matter. It was them or the mission.
