The stone golem ignored Chafe's words and drew it's scimitar. Spinning it above it's head, it swung the blade down at the Jedi Padawan.

In the mean time, Kapar'in had his hands full with the 5 guardians who had surrounded him. The Jedi Master's blue saber clashed against the metal blades of the stone soldiers who were advancing. He had managed to strike a few of them, but they were proving to be more resistant to the energy blades of the Jedi then the skeletons were.

A slight break in the combat gave Kapar'in the chance he needed to test his theory. Stretching out his right hand, he sent one of the guardians crashing back into one of it's companions. With a lifeless thud, the two stone warriors crumpled to the ground.

As he defended himself from the attacks of the remaining three, Kapar'in advised his friends: "They are resistant to lightsabers. Use any loose stones you can find against them. We must crush them to destroy them!"

Cyril threw stones at some, however it wasn't as effective as his unarmed attacks were. After all, unarmed combat is already a crushing style. He, unfortunately lost his balance when the Statue's scimitar hit the ground. Cyril didn't take the time to see if Chafe had escaped the blow. He knew he was next and there was nothing he could do if Chafe was hit. He quickly pulls his Verpine Heat Blaster out and fires a barrage of shots to the neck and wrists of the stone figure.

ooc: yes energy is useless, but Cyril's blaster is odd. It is a morphed energy. It is energy, but it is superheated. The damage it causes comes from the heat not the energy bolt.

Chafe had indeed dodged the scimitar. He used Force Speed to allow him to run faster and went into a slide (A Baseball Slide) right between the statue's legs! Once he got behind the thing, he used Force Pull to summon pieces of the already busted guardians and fling them into the 7 1/2 ft. statue. The stones crushed against the walking stone statue, but only causeing a few chunks to fly from the thing.

While the two Padawan battled the giant statue, Kapar'in busied himself with holding off the small squad of stone soldiers. He had already dropped two of them and another Force Wave sent three more into the nearest wall, crushing their stone bodies into rubble. The last seven were grouped mostly around Kapar'in since he had focused his attacks on the guardians around Chafe and Cyril.

Kapar'in gripped his saber with both hands as he parried a flurry of attacks from the 3 warriors closest to him. Even though his saber couldn't damage his opponents, it was still capable of parrying their attacks. He was forced to give up some ground as the guardians closed in around him.

Cyril tosses a small explosive from his poutch to Chafe. He turns to aid Kapar'in who is covered with gaurdians. He fires an cone of shots causing the stone to boil and melt. He was sure Kapar'in could take care of the rest. He looks over at N1, who had finished cutting through the collum. Cyril motions to wards the hole leading to another room.

Chafe catches the explosive, and as the statue makes an attack at Cyril, the nagai runs up the statue's back while setting the timer for 5 minutes. When he reaches the things back he slams the pommel of his lightsaber into the stone statue. Making yet another chunk fly away, then Chafe makes sure the bomb is stuck good in the hole. Then runs around the to the right of the too slow statue. Though he does have to parry an attack from the things scimitar. The weight of the blow almost sending him off balance in his long strided run. In the nagai's path is another stone guardian. Chafe jumps up and gives it a double footed drop kick to the upper chest. The nagai lands on the floor in a mess of ruble as the guardian busts apart. Chafe is soon on his feet and next to his friends. "We should follow N1, she's already gone down the shute. The bomb will blow in 4 minutes and 38 seconds."


ooc: color=silver will get the correct silver color Ed, I'm not sure what the #FF???? it is. I've always used color=silver

"Cyril, lets go!" Kapar'in yelled.

As the two Padawans followed the astromech droid down the chute, Kapar'in forced back the remaining stone guardians. The three Jedi had manged to whittle their numbers down to about half of what had initially been there

After Cyril's warning, Kapar'in had been pushing the smaller guardians toward the larger statue with the explosive in its back. His goal was to keep them as close together and then jump down the chute at the last minute.

Counting down, Kapar'in leapt down the chute as a huge explosion rocked the upper chamber. Even though he couldn't see the results, the sounds told the story. Nothing could have survived the blast that had resulted from Cyril's grenade.

When Cyril lands he suddenly says, "Dejavu (sp?)!" The room has a pool of water a closed door to their backs and an opened wall with a staircase and statue; as before. "This is odd, I thought this was above us... or is this a room just to comfuse us?"

Chafe lands behind Cyril, barely missing Cyril's head. After he wipes the dust off himself he looks to N1-F4. She appears ok, despite the freefall. "Well, this is a different room. Look at the patterns. They are different." *He reaches out with the Force to get a sense of the area. Or tries to...* "Can either of you sense anything with the Force. Something is blocking me."

ooc: I had wanted to make a few more posts in this story, but everyone seems to have gotten busy with their lives. So from this point forward (Until I come back.) Kapar'in Va (Ed) will NPC Chafe. N1-F4 only has a few new dents in her armor plating, but is otherwise unharmed from the freefall. Have without me, and don't kill Chafe off. Atleast not in a cheap way if you do... Otherwise his ghost will haunt you!! :4: :13:

ooc: sorry for the delay in responding...

"We are getting close. I can feel the disturbance in the Force much more strongly here."

As he spoke he began searching for both traps and some way to get out of this room they were in. The symbols on the wall were still not in any language he could understand, so he had no idea what they were saying.

"Spread out and search the walls for hidden devices."


A short time later, Chafe called out. "I've found something!"

Chafe pressed the hidden switch down and a door slid open on the far side of the room. It led to a long, dark hallway, that sloped slightly downward.

With Kapar'in and N1 leading, the group made their way further into the belly of the temple.

Cyril followed his two companions. He realized there may be no way out and it was a death trap... or death lock... whatever it was he wasn't sure. He knew that unless there was a pit of lava or something that was impossible to avoid the three would be fine, untill they starved...

"Well, do you guys think there is a way out?" He asks in wonder.

Kapar'in smiled at the Padawan as they moved further down the hallway.

"I would think so. Whomever built this Temple would need their minions to be able to come and go. I believe that once we deal with whatever is causing this disturbance, we will find our way out to be unblocked."

As the party reached the end of the hallway, they found themselves in a large room. As they entered, torches flared to life along the walls. At the far end of the room was a large stone door. Along the walls were painted murals that from what Kapar'in could see were a graphic history of the Temple's construction. Between the three Jedi and the other door were eight large statues, much like the one they had just battled.

The door behind them slammed shut and the statues stirred, turning their heads towards the intruders.

"Here we go again!" Chafe moaned. "Remember, lightsabers are no use! Look for other weaponry."

Kapar'in wished he had thought to bring one of the scimitars with him. Drawing on the Force around him, he sent a wave of energy at the closest statue, knocking it back. The others began closing in...

Cyril mumbles a "Not again" to himself and quickly pulls his blaster again. He aims for the statue's wrists to break off their weapon hands. However, even melting the stone with his blaster was hard. These statues were more solid than normal. He looked around for something that would be of use to destroying them. He looks up; the ceiling was high, but there was a huge stlagtite. He knew he wasn't capable of pulling it down on the statues, but he was sure Master Kapar'in could. He motioned upwards, hoping the master would understand.

Kapar'in was able to sense Cyril's thoughts and, as he looked up, he saw that the stalagtite's on the ceiling would be perfect weapons. And, once he had knocked down a few of them, Cyril and Chafe would be able to use the rubble to fight. Raising his hands and grasping the tendrils of Force that surrounded the giant rock formations. Pulling his hands down, Kapar'in strained against the stalagtites. After a moment or two, there was a loud cracking sound as the giant stone came loose. Propelled downward by gravity and the Force, the stalagtite smashed into two of the statues, crushing them beneath it.

Chafe took advantage of the disturbance to reach out and hurl several large stones at another statue. The first few rocks hit the statue, staggering it and knocking large chunks out of it. The last rock, however, smashed into the the statue's head, turning it into dust with the force of the attack. The lumbering statue took another step forward before toppling to the earth.

ooc: sorry for the late responce.

Cyril looks around to see if there is anything else capable of being used. on the wall there is a metal rope. He quickly grabs it and by using the force raps it around a statue's legs; forcing it to the ground. He then proceades to put a small explosive on the statues back, shredding it. As he turns he sees Kapar'in and Chafe had finished the rest, but the smaller versions were approaching, surrounding the room. Cyril pulls out his sword once more. He lloks up just intime to avoud a missile aimed at him. Not an explosive but an achient crossbow weapon. This temple would be old indeed.

ooc: no worries, I was in San Diego for a few days...


Kapar'in and Chafe dodged the first wave of missiles directed at them. Cyril had destroyed the last of the larger statues but there were still 6 smaller ones closing in. As the statues reloaded, Chafe leapt forward, landing in their midst. Moving quickly, he pulled one of the crossbows loose and smashed it into the statue's face. Taking advantage of the confusion, Kapar'in sent a Force Wave out, knocking the damaged statue into two of the others, crippling them.

Chafe picked up a large stone fragment from the floor and smashed it into one of the fallen statues, totally incapacitating it.

ooc: Hehe. You're doing good Ed. I would post IC, but it's Cyril's turn. Plus, Ed just NPCed Chafe. I see the Sith now control the Jedi Temple. Though that takes place after this story, and so we don't have to worry about that yet.

Cyril notices a hidden pathway, just were the archers had been before. He points in its direction. Unfortunately the ledge was too high to jump to. There had to be some lever to get stairs. Being attacked by a cloaked figure he steps out of the things charge path and pushes into another, aided by its momentum. "We got to get out of here, the things are comeing out of nowhere, and they aren't ending."

"N1 scan for a switch." The Nagai senses someting behind him. He ducks as something swipes by overhead. Exactly where his neck was a moment before. Chafe ignites his lightsaber. Making it's yellow blade flare to life. He moves it into a block above his chest as his invisible attacker makes a chop with it's axe. The Padawan barely got his 'saber there. His cloaked attacker was fast, but not fast enough. If he used the Force, Chafe would be faster. The Nagai had a better idea though. He summoned the Force and used it to Push his attacker away. The resulting Force Push knocked down a few others nearby. The cloaked one flew back and hit 3 uncloaked statues breaking them apart. The silver skinned humanoid then turned and ran to a side wall of the chamber. Once there he used Force Jump. He made it 25 feet up the side wall. Used Force Jump again and turned toward the back wall of the chamber. His jump sent him 15 feet up from his last position, and was 4 feet higher than he needed.

When he landed a single torch lit. Chafe tilted his head. The torch didn't even give off half the light his 'saber did. Padawan Buorr looked down to his friends who continued to fight below him. Then he thinks of the torch, and turns back. Their was something odd about it, and it was light emitting ability. (Or lack thereof.) He walks over to it. With his lightsaber in his left hand he grabs the torch with his right and pulls it from it's holder. Or thought he was going to. Instead the torch held fast. Testing to see if it was stuck he pulls it toward him. It moves from the wall. He hears some clicking and clacking sounds and a section of the wall (the size of a door) opens next to the door Cyril had seen. Chafe moves to it and with the light from his lightsaber he sees inside. There are some stairs leading down. 18 feet down the stairs turned out of sight. From behind and below, the Nagai hears N1 peep excitedly. Another door had opened.

"Good, now to be out of here. Hopefully."
